CHAPTER 6

"We need to test our fighting ability now that we have gotten stronger. It will help us develop technique and skill," he said to me one day after our run.

"How do we do that? We are the only ones here," I asked.

"We need to find some competition by challenging another rogue," he said simply.

"Are you out of your mind its only been six weeks!" I said not bothering to hide my worry.

"Trust me. Besides it's for the best. We are invincible after all," he pointed out.

"O great I can't die but I can get my ass kicked," I said sarcastically to him. He growled telling me it was not up for discussion.

The next day I gathered my things and my wolf lead us to a nearby city. There was the faint smell of werewolf meaning we weren't alone. I followed the scent and came to a spot under a bridge. It kind of looked like a cave and I knew I had found their hide out. Before I could go in any further a guy with blonde hair and lots of tattoos came out of no where.

He didn't radiate power so he wasn't an alpha or beta, but I could tell he was strong, maybe a warrior.

"Who the hell are you and what the fuck do you want?" he said walking up to me. I honestly had no logical answer to that question so I just said, "Passing through."

"O really well guess what we don't allow people to 'pass through' so I suggest you leave unless you want to challenge me," he said boldly.

I started to turn around when my wolf yelled at me.

"What the hell are you doing? Stand your ground. You are an alpha, look him in the eye and challenge him!" he screamed.

I did as he said. I walked up to the guy and looked him directly in the eye.

"Are you challenging me?" he said incredulously. My gaze never faltered.

"Alright if it's a fight you're after I am more than happy to oblige," he said with a grin. He shifted into a mid-sized brown wolf with white paws and I shifted into my black wolf which was slightly larger. A look of shock spread across his face when he saw my wolf. I guessed he had never seen a pureblooded alpha before.

He quickly got over it and bared his canines and I did the same. We began circling each other and sizing one another up. He leaped at me and I dodged him. I lunged at him quickly going for the attack landing a bite on his shoulder. He quickly recovered and ran back at me almost biting my leg. I was about to go for his throat when I got distracted.

Three shewolves and five males showed up. One of the guys stood out and looked to be their leader since he was clearly the strongest. I was brought back to my senses when the wolf I was fighting pinned me.

"Focus," my wolf shouted.

The guy I was fighting growled at me wanting me to submit. I kicked him off before he could do any damage.

When he hit the floor from the impact I ran and stood over him. I growled and bared my teeth ordering him to submit. To my surprise he turned his head and exposed his neck submitting. I let him up not wanting to kill him just yet. He shifted back into his human form and I did the same.

We both grabbed some shorts and he gave me a puzzled look.

"You're a pure blood alpha?" he said with amusement. "How did you end up here?"

"Lets just say my wolf led me," I told him preferring not to go into detail. My wolf agreed with that decision.

"Well your welcome to stay," he said casually and the others nodded in approval. I was surprised by the sudden change of events. I wasn't expecting them to offer me a chance to stay with them.

"Should we stay?" I asked my wolf.

"Temporarily. Only a week or so. We will fight with all the males to gain more experience. You must learn from your mistakes. After we have been tested by each of them we will leave," he replied.

I informed them that I would stay for a while. I didn't have to ask them to train with me because they were so intrigued by me being a pure blood they considered it an honor. My wolf swelled with pride knowing that he had that effect.

For the next few days I fought with them. I got a couple bruises along the way but it was worth it. Each time I fought I got better. My wolf finally told me it was time to leave.

"Hey man come back anytime."

"Don't forget to write."

"Remember us when you make history."

"Call me if you ever wanna have some fun."

They yelled to me as I left making me laugh and shake my head. My wolf took control and we ended up in another human town about thirty miles away. This time I didn't smell any weres.

"What are we doing here?" I asked him curiously.

"We still need to train you up some more. I think there is something humans do now called street fighting. I think it will help."

Ahh hell.
