Testament

After changing into more comfortable clothes, Oliva returned to the living room. People were seated on couches and armchairs, while the lawyer stood in the middle, holding a large folder of documents. The room was filled with anticipation for the news.

"It's good to see you all here. Leonard Moore left his final will and testament," the family lawyer spoke solemnly, capturing everyone's attention. "He didn't have many last-minute arrangements, just one."

"Just tell us what he wanted, enough with the suspense," a nervous counselor interjected.

The lawyer glanced at the documents in his hands and took a deep breath, preparing himself for the chaos that would ensue once he revealed the contents.

"Leonard wants Oliva to take the lead, both in the companies and in the pack," he finally disclosed, bracing himself for the inevitable confusion.

Silence fell upon the room, with only the sound of Oliva choking on the water she had been drinking. All eyes turned towards the girl, her face turning red as she coughed uncontrollably, trying to regain her breath. She couldn't believe what she had just heard.

"WHAT?!" She involuntarily shouted, feeling as though this had to be some kind of joke.

Desperation washed over her as she sought her brother's gaze, only to find him smiling slightly. He found her reaction amusing and shrugged his shoulders, silently conveying that there was nothing he could do.

"How can Leonard leave everything in the hands of an omega?" one of the shareholders exclaimed. "That position should rightfully belong to Samuel, an alpha who has been trained to run the company!" Murmurs spread throughout the room, with everyone talking at once.

"What do you mean 'AN' omega?!" Oliva stood up, facing the man with nerves evident in her voice. She despised it when people emphasized her status as an omega, as if it were a flaw or deficiency in character. "Don't refer to me with that ridiculous arrogance!"

"My father is right," Samuel interjected, capturing everyone's attention. He maintained a composed and amused expression on his face. "Oliva is our father's eldest daughter. She has experience dealing with wolves and is far better than me in matters of interpersonal relationships." He glanced around, making his stance clear. "She is a Moore, just like my father and myself."

"Calm down, there are still certain conditions Leonard wants Oliva to fulfill in order to assume leadership," Bradley interjected, recapturing the room's attention.

"That's all I needed! What does he want from me?" Oliva crossed her arms, her voice filled with exasperation.

"He made it clear in the will that for you to take on the leadership position, you must be married within two days from today," the man stated calmly.

Oliva's and everyone else's jaws dropped in disbelief. Even Samuel was taken aback by the words lingering in the air, echoing throughout the room. Pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place in Oliva's mind. She was a strong-willed woman, and it would be a challenge for her to ever marry anyone. Her father had been cunning, ensuring there was an obligation for her to have an heir.

"I'll marry you, Oliva," a contemptuous gentleman among the shareholders suggested, breaking the silence. "You need a strong alpha to dominate you so you can finally fulfill your role as an omega and wife."

"I agree. We can even make a list of suitors for you. At least you're not ugly," another chimed in.

"How dare you refer to me in such a manner, you despicable man!" Oliva's blood boiled with anger. As if anticipating her sister's reaction, Samuel held her back firmly to prevent

"Listen up, anyone who speaks another word of this nonsense will be asked to leave in the worst possible way!" Samuel spoke with restraint, his anger evident. They couldn't stand the way their sister was being treated as inferior. "Don't waste time on this, Oliv. Focus on what Dad said, because now is not the time to fight."

Nerves flared and tension filled the room. Oliva took a deep breath, attempting to calm herself down.

"If it's not one of us, who do you think would want to marry you? And in just two days!" the counselor remarked. "It's insane."

"Gentlemen, please calm down. Leonard stated that if Oliva refuses the proposal, there will be a vote among the directors, with no rules. It could turn into chaos," Bradley interjected, running his hands through his hair. He struggled to maintain control over the situation.

"Why doesn't Samuel have to deal with these ridiculous marriage rules?" Oliva questioned the lawyer, leaving him speechless since he was only relaying the message he had been given. "Did he say nothing about marriage to you?" Oliva directed her question towards her brother, who also didn't know how to respond.

"Oliv, sit down and try to calm yourself," Samuel urged. "You won't be able to think straight like this. And I can't lead anyone. You're right; I can take on some responsibilities in the company, but the rest is up to you. I don't want anything more than that." He sat down beside her, attempting to encourage her.

Samuel had never desired a position of this magnitude. Being the leader of the pack was not part of his plans, and he had made that clear to their father. Perhaps it was selfish of him to think this way, but he believed it could be beneficial for Oliva to get married. It might help her in some way.

Oliva sat down, once again trying to calm herself. It was challenging with half a dozen pairs of eyes on her, whispering absurd things about her strong personality and her inability to control her anger outbursts. It was ironic because such behavior was typically associated with alphas, not common among omegas. Oliva let out a wry laugh.

"Oh, I forgot to mention. Oliva can't marry just anyone. Leonard made it very clear that there are only two names as suggestions. Let me find them here," the lawyer announced, creating an atmosphere of expectation. It could be anyone.

Oliva's spine froze. There would be a name that could potentially ruin the rest of her life, leaving her bitter.

"I found it! It's Matteo and Lian Allen," Bradley declared, scanning the room. "They're here, right?"

Oliva's eyes widened in surprise as she immediately searched the room for the Allen brothers. They were sitting on a couch in the corner, wearing lost expressions on their faces. She spotted them just as they did, shocked and speechless.

The brothers, who had moments ago been enjoying the spectacle of the wealthy squabbling, viewing it as a humorous comedy film from the best seats in the house, now found themselves dumbfounded and speechless. They exchanged glances and swallowed hard, realizing they were unexpectedly thrust into the center of this unfolding drama.
