CHAPTER 4

Gordon had always been a loyal member and Alpha of the pack. He had earned the respect of everyone in the pack not just for being an alpha but also for being a worthy alpha. However, things have changed recently. Gordon had fallen under the influence of Mira's dark magic, and he was doing everything in his power to make her happy.

Kaylie had always been the woman Gordon thinks of. They were soul mates, mates that had a very similar worth who were supposed to change the pack together. However, Kaylie was angry about what Gordon was doing. She didn't like the way he was acting under Mira's influence, and she confronted him about it.

"Gordon, what are you doing? Why are you under Mira's spell?" Kaylie asked, looking into Gordon's eyes.

"I'm doing it for her. She is going to be the new luna, and I have to do what she says," Gordon replied.

"That's not good enough, Gordon. You're hurting everyone in the pack, including me. You need to snap out of it," Kaylie said, her voice rising with anger. He acted like he knew he was under a spell.

"I can't, Kaylie. I'm sorry, but I can't," Gordon said, shaking his head.

Kaylie felt a tear roll down her cheek. She had always thought that Gordon was the one for her, but now she wasn't so sure.

"I can't believe you would choose her over me, Gordon. We are mates," Kaylie said, her voice breaking.

"I rejected you, Kaylie. I just can't be with you right now. Leave me alone," Gordon said, looking away.

Kaylie turned and ran out of the room, tears streaming down her face. She didn't know what to do or where to turn. She was more confused than ever.

Just then, Gordon's twin brother returned from his long journey. He had heard about what was happening and wanted to make things right between Gordon and Kaylie.

"Gordon, what's going on? I heard about Mira and what she's doing to you. You need to snap out of it," his brother said, his voice full of concern.

"Don't just come here with your bullshit, Stephen," Gordon replied, his voice low.

" You're hurting everyone in the pack, including Kaylie. She's pregnant with your child, and you're treating her like dirt. You need to snap out of it," his brother said, his voice rising with frustration.

Gordon looked up at his brother, his eyes filled with anger and frustration.

"Can you get out of my sight? You don't want me to do any harm to you," Gordon said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Stephen saw the fight in his eyes. "Kaylie might be right about this," he thought.

"I'll help you, Gordon. We'll find a way to break the spell," his brother said, his voice full of determination.

Stephen went ahead to meet Kaylie, who was crying all her eyes out.

"It will be okay," Stephen said, patting her back. "How are you sure Mira is a witch,"

"That is what a human should ask. You are supernatural. Don't you think there are other supernatural beings around you," Kaylie explained and Stephen nodded.

"We have to find a way to break it," Stephen said "How much time do we have,"

"Till I give birth. I guess" Kaylie said.

They spent the next few days trying everything they could think of to break Mira's spell, but nothing seemed to work. Gordon was still under her control, and Kaylie was still living in the mansion, waiting for her child to be born.

It didn't take long for the whole pack to witness the coronation of Mira as the new luna. She stood before them, holding the sceptre of power in her hand, and they all bowed before her. Everybody stood surprised at what went wrong, they had no idea but they all played along to avoid banishment or death.

All Kaylie did was watch another woman kiss her husband and probably after the whole bullshit they would have sex. She stood thinking of things she could do to stop this. It was as if nothing was greater than magic.

Gordon watched as Mira took control of the pack, controlling people in the way she saw fit. Kaylie felt powerless to stop her, and she knew that things would never be the same again.

But despite everything that had happened, he still allowed Kaylie to stay in the mansion. He knew that he had to throw her out after she had given birth, but he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Kaylie did everything she could to bring out the good back in Gordon but everything she tried to do reduced her chances of staying in the pack house. Dark magic was a God to her.

Mira visited her boss at his secret hideout, eager to update him on the progress of their plan. She had Gordon under her fingers, and she was confident that she could make him do anything she wanted.

"Babe, our plan is working perfectly. Gordon is completely under my control. He'll do anything I say," Mira said, a wicked smile spreading across her face.

He leaned back in his chair, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

"That's great news, Mira. You truly are a master of your craft. I always knew that witches were blessed. You don't have to fight like the rest of us. You can just manipulate people to do your bidding," he said, his voice dripping with envy.

Mira laughed, enjoying his praise.

"Yes, we are blessed, But we also have to be careful. Our power can be dangerous if we're not responsible with it," Mira warned, a hint of caution in her voice.

He waved her concerns away, his eyes fixed on the prize.

"Don't worry, Mira. We'll be careful. And when we have the power we desire, we'll be unstoppable. Nothing will stand in our way," he said, a cruel smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

Mira couldn't help but feel a twinge of unease. His thirst for power was almost palpable, and she wondered if she had made a mistake in teaming up with him.

"We need to be careful. We can't let our desire for power consume us. It could lead us down a dangerous path," Mira said, her voice tinged with worry.

He shook his head, dismissing her concerns.

"Don't be ridiculous, Mira. We're in this together. And when we have the power we desire, we'll be unstoppable," he said, his voice laced with hatred.

Mira couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. She had joined forces with him in the hopes of achieving a greater goal, but now she was starting to see that he was consumed by his hatred and ambition.

"I'm starting to have second thoughts about this. Maybe we should rethink our plan," Mira said, her voice low. She was getting confused without knowing why.

His eyes narrowed, his face contorted with anger.

"What do you mean, rethink our plan? We're so close to achieving our goal. We can't give up now," he spat, his voice full of hate.

Mira took a step back, realising that she had made a mistake in confronting him even though she didn't do it intentionally.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. Let's just focus on the task at hand," Mira said, her voice trembling.

He glared at her for a moment before nodding curtly.

"Fine. But don't ever question our plan again, Mira. We're in this together, whether you like it or not," H said, his voice cold.

Mira nodded, her eyes downcast. She knew that she had made a mistake in confronting him, but she couldn't help but feel uneasy about their partnership.

As she left him hideout, she couldn't help but wonder if she had made a grave mistake in teaming up with him.
