Redrick and Vienna's wedding day
Today is the wedding day of Redrick and Vienna. I even attended it. I realize how foolish this is, but my heart is filled with a complex mix of emotions. I try to smile happily among the guests, but in my heart, there is an indescribable pain. I know I can't have her, but seeing Redrick and Vienna united in marriage makes me feel a deep sense of loss.
"Re-Redrick, have I truly lost you? I thought I was strong enough to face it, that's why I came here. I didn't expect it to be so painful," I groaned in my heart.
I try to hide my conflicting feelings as I watch the two of them walk towards the altar with love in their eyes. I can't blame anyone for their happiness. They have found the love they were looking for, and it's beautiful.
"Naina! Pay attention to your demeanor!" my father reprimands me softly.
I can only nod and comply with my father's admonition.
As the ceremony unfolds, I try to divert my thoughts and focus on the happy moments around me. I see happiness on the faces of the other guests, but there is a part of me that remains attached to what could have been.
After the ceremony, I try to distance myself and find a moment alone. It feels like my tears are about to burst out.
"Tears, stop! Please! Why did you have to come to this wedding, you foolish person!"
I reflect on my foolish actions of attending their wedding. I realize that I am only causing myself suffering by letting this love grow and hide in my heart. I realize that I have to let it go and move on.
With cautious steps, I return to the wedding hall and see Redrick and Vienna surrounded by the crowd. I smile at them, trying to show the fake happiness I can muster. I pray that the two of them find true happiness and lasting love.
I try to gather myself and approach the happy couple. "Redrick, Vienna, congratulations on your marriage. I hope you are happy," I say sincerely.
"Naina ...." Redrick calls out softly. His expression looks strange as he sees me.
Is it pity? I think as I see his strange expression.
"Thank you," Vienna says as she hugs me.
I never expected her to whisper threatening words to me.
"Aren't you Redrick's ex-girlfriend? You should realize it! Redrick loves me! And I love him too! I am here for him! So leave our lives! I will never let Redrick marry anyone other than me!" Vienna whispers in my ear.
What! Does she know who I am?
Hearing that, I am shocked, and Vienna even looks at me with a sharp gaze, and I can clearly sense her possessiveness and anger towards me. However, Vienna's facial expression quickly changes, and she immediately puts on a friendly face in front of Redrick.
Vienna is Redrick's long-lost love. She disappeared suddenly back then. And I came into Redrick's life because of a business agreement between Redrick and my parents. During our relationship, I knew how much he loved Vienna.
I thought Vienna would never come back. I was too engrossed in my feelings for Redrick, unaware that after 3 years of our relationship, Vienna came back. And Redrick went back to her.
No matter how Redrick feels about me, Vienna is his number one in his heart.
If you love him so much, why did you leave him? I wonder. I really want to ask her.
With a forced smile, I try to calm myself. I pretend as if I'm not affected by Vienna's words. I don't want to disrupt the
atmosphere of their wedding or cause more complications in their relationship.
"Vienna, Redrick loves you very much. You're very lucky," I say with a smile.
Redrick shows a smile of happiness. He doesn't even realize the tension brewing behind my smile. "Thank you, Naina! I am lucky to have Vienna as my wife. I hope you also find true happiness in life."
Happiness in life? Then why did you refuse to end our relationship? You're such an indecisive man, I don't understand your thought process! I wonder in my mind.
Meanwhile, Vienna maintains a thin smile on her face. However, her gaze still pierces me, reminding me of the threat she made earlier.
Redrick... Does he not know that Vienna actually knows about our relationship?
As the celebration continues, I make my final decision. I will step away, find a new path for myself, and search for a love that can truly be mine. I know it will be a difficult process, not easily letting go of Redrick. But I have to do it in order to find my own peace and happiness.
"Goodbye," I say as I leave.
With a heavy heart, I walk away from the celebration. I take a deep breath and say goodbye to the dream I have built for so long. I know this is the right step. Although this love has caused me suffering, I believe that one day, I will find a love that is mutual and genuine in my life.
I try to leave as quickly as possible and accidentally bump into someone in front of me.
Crash!
"Ouch!"
As I almost fall to the ground, the man quickly catches and holds me so I don't fall. As I look up, I am mesmerized by his extraordinary handsomeness and charm.
His eyes sparkle, and his smile is captivating. He is a handsome man with neat black hair and a perfectly sculpted body.
"You! What are you doing here!" I exclaim in surprise as I remember who this man in front of me is.
He is the super handsome man I accidentally met at the beach.
Without answering my question, the man asks about my condition.
"Are you okay?" he asks with a concerned tone. His voice is soft and warm, like a beautiful singer's voice.
I remain silent for a moment, amazed by his attention. "Y-yes, I'm fine. Th-thank you for helping me," I reply, trying to hide my nervousness.
He releases his hand from my shoulder, "Alright, make sure you're careful on the road," he says as he walks away.
"Yes," I answer as I take a step forward. Unexpectedly, it hurts a lot as soon as I take a step. "Oww!" I groan.
Hearing my groan, the handsome man rushes over to me.
"Tell me, where does it hurt?" he asks, holding my hand.
"I, I'm fine," I answer, wincing in pain.
"How can you be fine? Look, your leg is bruised!" he replies while kneeling down and holding the bruised part of my leg.
"Hey! What are you doing!" I exclaim in surprise.
He shakes his head and lifts me up.
This handsome man keeps surprising me. "You! What are you doing! Put me down!" I shout again.
