Chapter 02 Six Little Girls

The two spent a passionate night together.

The next day, when the first ray of morning sunshine shined upon the bed, Ivy waked up sensitively. She frowned, covered her eyes with her hand, and lazily turned over.

It's painful, so painful. Her entire body was sore in a way that words cannot describe. Why was it like this? It feels as if she was working all night instead of resting.

The sound of even breathing was heard in her ears, and the unfamiliar scent of a man wafted over.

There's someone beside her!

Ivy abruptly opened her eyes.

A handsome face came into view, with fair skin, long and slightly curled eyelashes, a high and straight nose, and sexy lips. These perfect features combined together resemble a perfectly crafted work of art.

Although he was asleep, an aura of cold arrogance cannot be concealed between his brows. He was exuding an untouchable king-like presence.

Who was he?

Ivy tried hard to recall and gradually, the memories from last night unfolded in her mind.

She seemed to have drank too much and confessed her love to a waiter...

This waiter was really handsome! Ivy can't help but take another glance.

She sighed inwardly for the waiter, who was so handsome yet ended up sleeping with her.

To make amends, Ivy generously took out five dollars and places it on the pillow as she got out of bed.

Today was her wedding day with Leo. As the person involved, it wouldn't be right for her to not attend.

The wedding venue was filled with guests, and Leo anxiously awaited the bride.

Instead of appearing publicly, Ivy quietly entered the backstage and projected the scandalous photos taken last night onto the big screen.

After the photos were revealed, the scene immediately erupted.

Among the discussions of the guests, Ivy embarked on a journey alone.

Four years later, at the train station.

Ivy dragged a heavy suitcase with one hand and holds six small ropes with the other, leading six miniature versions of herself off the platform.

The six little girls were all adorable, attracting the attention of many people along the way.

"Mummy, I'm hungry." Second daughter said.

"Mommy, my tummy is empty," the eldest daughter said, pointing to her tiny belly.

"I'm hungry too," the eldest daughter raised her hand to speak.

"I want ice cream!" Sixth daughter raised her little hand high in the air. Fifth daughter's mouth was watering. Third daughter licked her lips. Fourth daughter hopped cutely in front of Ivy and looked up with her adorable little head.

"Okay, Mommy will buy you ice cream, chicken wings, and French fries later," Ivy promised.

They were staying at an ordinary hotel. Ivy had booked a small suite and ordered six hearty takeout meals.

Watching her six daughters devour their food, Ivy felt both gratified and melancholic.

Four years ago, Ivy had drowned herself in alcohol due to Leo and Kayla's double betrayal. She had a one-night stand the night before her wedding and had even caused Leo to lose all dignity on their wedding day. She had to go abroad to escape and heal her heart.

She had initially planned to return after calming down, but she unexpectedly became pregnant.

Growing up in an orphanage without any relatives, Ivy had to rely on herself in this situation.

To safely give birth to her child, she stayed abroad and worked as a dishwasher in a hotel. Fortunately, the hotel owner was kind and not only helped her willingly but also assisted in taking care of her child after she gave birth.

But as her children grew older and approached kindergarten age, she had to bring her daughters back home.

After returning, how could she support herself and her children? She couldn't just be a hotel waitress forever. With six children to feed and their future school fees looming, she had to find a suitable job to afford it all.

After finishing their meal, the six little girls quickly fell asleep on the bed, two of them sharing one. Their sleeping postures were all incredibly cute.

Ivy tucked them in, cleaned up the table, and then searched online for nearby job opportunities.

She sent out over ten resumes, but by evening, only one had replied.

"Is this Ivy? This is Blossom Fitness Club. You just submitted your resume to us. Are you available for an interview now?"

"Now?" Ivy hesitated, glancing at her children. "It's too late today. Can we do it tomorrow?"

"Are you kidding me? You think we can adjust the interview to suit your schedule? If you want to come, you have to arrive before 7 p.m. If not, then forget about it!"
