Chapter 1 They Actually Have a Child?

"Honey, I..."

Before Sarah Miller could spill the beans about her pregnancy, she got cut off by some noises coming from the bedroom.

"Antonio, I love you."

"I love you too."

They were all lovey-dovey, with some pretty suggestive sounds in the background.

Sarah knew exactly what was up.

She froze, her face going ghostly pale.

After a beat, she took a shaky step forward, teeth clenched, and nudged the door open a bit.

And there it was—her husband Antonio Valencia, all tall and brooding, holding her half-sister, Lisa Randall, in his arms.

Her hands and feet went numb; she never thought they'd be sneaking around together!

"Antonio, our kid's already here. When are you gonna ditch Sarah?"

Antonio stayed mum.

Lisa didn't care, just doodling circles on his chest. "If Sarah's got a kid too, what then?"

Antonio's voice was ice-cold. "Get rid of it."

Sarah's hand flew to her mouth in shock, the pregnancy test slipping from her grip and hitting the floor.

She backed out of that dirty room, step by step.

How could he do this to her?

Were the last three years of their marriage just a big fat lie?

Now he had a kid with someone else, and that wasn't enough—he wanted to get rid of hers!

Tears streamed down her face as she scooped up the pregnancy test, then bolted out without a backward glance.

In the bedroom, Lisa heard the frantic footsteps and the door shut. She lazily got up from the bed.

She smirked and shoved the "man" beside her to the floor.

The "man" hit the ground with a dull thud. On closer look, it wasn't a "man" at all but a rubber dummy.

Lisa adjusted her silk camisole, got out of bed, and kicked the dummy, casually tossing the voice recorder into the trash. She thought, 'Luckily, I managed to fool Sarah. All my effort wasn't in vain!'

In the car, Sarah sped down the road.

Her mind was a mess. On one hand, she couldn't believe Antonio, the guy she'd loved for so long, would do this to her.

On the other hand, the disturbing sounds and words she had just heard made her whole body tremble.

She gritted her teeth and dialed Antonio's number.

No matter what, she needed to hear from him why he was doing this to her!

Meanwhile, in the president's office of the Valencia Group, Antonio sat at his desk, holding a stack of photos, his face dark with anger.

The photos were all of Sarah tangled up with another guy.

His long fingers gripped the photos tight, his knuckles going white.

Just then, the phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, his face got even darker.

'Sarah, you still dare to call me!' he thought.

He answered, and Sarah's tearful, broken voice came through. "Antonio, is Lisa's kid yours?"

Antonio was a bit taken aback, then sneered. "So what if it is?"

Sarah betrayed him and still had the nerve to question him!

"Antonio, how could you do this to me?" Sarah's voice was full of despair, sounding distant and unclear.

Antonio felt a sudden irritation and loosened his tie. "Where are you?"

"Does it even matter to you?"

For the first time in her life, Sarah knew what real despair felt like.

Antonio frowned. What was with that tone, like he was the one who'd done something wrong?

"Sarah, make yourself clear."

Sarah was about to speak when she saw a truck barreling straight for her from the front left.

She tried to brake, but the brakes failed!

"I... Ah!"

Hearing Sarah's scream, Antonio's heart skipped a beat. "Sarah, you..."

Sarah, speechless, instinctively yanked the steering wheel!

The car smashed through the guardrail, rolled several times, and plunged off the cliff.

The crash was loud, followed by dead silence on the other end of the line.

Antonio froze. The moment he realized what had happened, he jumped up, shouting, "Sarah!"

However, there was no response from the other side.
