Chapter 3

Alison was stunned for a moment.

"Why are you following me? Are you a student at Columbia University?" The man's tone was cold and indifferent.

He had noticed the girl following him on his way here. She pretended to have something to do when he stopped and controlled, even following him to the elevator.

Alison blushed briefly but quickly regained her composure. "Is this your private road? It's a public path that anyone can take. So why do you say I'm following you?"

A chill flashed in the man's dark eyes as he stepped back and gestured for Alison to go ahead of him.

"Never mind then, so as not to misunderstand," Alison sneered before turning around and walking towards the stairs.

The elevator door slowly closed behind her, blocking off the man's slightly narrowed eyes. Afraid of running into Alexander again, Alison climbed up nine floors instead. Her professor and dean discussed matters inside when she arrived at the conference room. They saw her enter and signaled for her to wait outside for a while with their eyes.

There were also several other students there who came to submit their materials. When their gaze met, one of them gave Alison an ominous look full of ill intentions. Pretending not to notice anything amiss, Alison took out her phone and played Sudoku games until footsteps approached, and less than five minutes passed by.

"You've been back for some time now; it's about time since you've been abroad so long!" With Dr. Wilson's voice came two people entering the conference room: Joseph Wilson himself, the other person...

Alison frowned unconsciously.

Is it fate?

Alexander also saw Alison but only glanced over without stopping his gaze anywhere else on her body or face.

Upon arrival, the dean hurriedly greeted them and introduced Alexander to Dr. Wilson, "This is the CEO of Rosier Inc., who was also a student at our school before. By the way, several scholarships in our school were sponsored by Mr. Rosier."

The dean's face immediately became more respectful after hearing this, and he shook hands with Alexander before smiling, "Today, we happen to have students come over to submit their scholarship application materials. Mr. Rosier, these students are all recipients of your scholarships."

Alexander glanced over them briefly but seemed to look at Alison for a moment longer than anyone else before saying lightly, "Columbia University has always produced outstanding talents!"

Alison looked at the man's handsome profile, and her eyes flickered slightly as she wondered: others said that Alexander was a playboy; last night, he had indeed been so overbearing and full of aggression all over his body...but now he exuded an air of elegance and nobility like someone sitting inside a TV.

Which one is his true self?

An hour later, Alexander declined Dr. Wilson's invitation for dinner and left Columbia University by car.

The driver turned around and asked him: "Mr. Rosier, the development meeting for Project Delta is scheduled for three o'clock this afternoon. There will be some time in between. Where would you like to go?"

Looking through the documents in his hand, Alexander suddenly thought of something and spoke calmly: "Let's go to Sag Harbor."

"Yes!" The driver found an intersection ahead and then made a turn.

Suddenly, Alexander's phone rang. John's name appears on the screen.

"Mr.Rosier! We've found that woman from last night!"
