9. Sleep Together

The day looks so bright. The crowded streets are a sign that tomorrow is a weekend, people are flocking to go on vacation at various tourist attractions.

Leo, Ana, and Sam were no exception. Currently the three of them were already in the car, traveling to the beach they were going to visit.

"Sam, take it easy. You're not an ambulance. We're going on vacation anyway, to the beach. Don't let us end up in the hospital because of your high speed driving." Leo, who was sitting next to Sam, deliberately insinuated Sam blatantly.

"Shut up. Why are you so chatty? Are you doubting me?" Sam asked Leo.

"Prevention is better than cure, Sam. What's wrong with me warning you." Leo let out a resigned sigh. Sam was indeed stubborn.

"Ana." Leo called out to Ana who was sitting at the back by herself.

"Why?" Ana asked.

"Why are you silent? Are you silent because you're holding your bowels?" Leo asked Ana.

"You're talking nonsense. I'm quiet because I want to be, not because I'm holding in a bowel movement!" Ana immediately snapped at Leo.

Leo laughed to see Ana upset.

"Sam, that's the hotel in front. The hotel in front of the beach. We're staying at that hotel." Leo pointed to a hotel in front of there.

Sam drove his car to the hotel Leo pointed out. They got in.

After arriving, they went straight into the hotel to book a room.

They were now at the reception to book a room.

"What? There's only one room?" Leo asked the receptionist.

"Yes, sir. We only have one room left," the receptionist replied.

Leo looked at Sam and Ana in turn. "How's this?" Leo asked Ana and Sam.

"Never mind, just cancel the vacation. There's only one room left, and there are three of us. Let's go home." Sam took Leo and Ana home.

"No! I don't want to go home. What the hell are you doing? We're here, we've prepared everything, and then just because there's only one room left we're going home? No! I don't agree!" Leo disagreed with Sam's opinion.

"I'll take that one room." In the end Leo took the remaining room that was still empty for the three of them.

"Are you crazy? How can we all sleep in the same room?" Sam was surprised by Leo's decision.

"So what? Will you die if you sleep in the same room with me and Ana?" Leo asked back.

"No, I won't! So why do you have to refuse like that? We are friends. Togetherness is the joy of friendship." Leo answered his own question

After finishing taking care of the room payment, Leo immediately took Ana and Sam to their room.

"It's done. Let's go to the room." Leo walked first, followed by Ana behind him and Sam who walked reluctantly.

"If you were anyone else, then I would have ripped your throat out, Leo!" Sam grumbled inwardly.

"Leo, are you sure we can sleep in the same room?" Ana asked Leo to make sure.

"Why not? If we sleep in the same room, will we die from fighting for oxygen? No, then why worry?" Leo replied casually.

Ana sighed in resignation. Yes, after all, what power did Ana have? She could only follow Leo's wishes.

Arriving in the room, Ana, Sam, and Leo immediately cleaned up the things they had brought.

"Then, how are we going to sleep?" Sam asked Leo.

"Of course Ana sleeps on the bed," Leo said without thinking.

"But--"

"But why?" Leo looked at Sam who looked like he wanted to protest.

"But why, Sam? Don't you understand? Ana is a woman. Women should come first. Besides, how can you and I sleep on the bed and a woman with such a small body sleep on the sofa? Don't you have any pity?" Sam hadn't had a chance to protest but had already been thoroughly sprayed by Leo.

Sam snorted in annoyance. "Suit yourself!" He said angrily.

"That bed is very wide and spacious. It can fit two people. Then, who's going to sleep with Ana?" Leo asked Sam.

Ana was surprised when she heard Leo's words just now. Someone to sleep with? Is Ana going to sleep with these two strange men?

Realizing that Ana was shocked and confused, Leo immediately explained what he meant to Ana. "Take it easy, Ana. This is just for sleeping. We won't do anything to you. You can take my word for it. We are both good guys, even though Sam looks like a psychopath."

Hearing Leo's explanation, Ana could only smile forcefully. She didn't dare to argue and refuse. Especially since Sam was here.

"You're the one who's not with Ana. I'll sleep on the sofa." Sam finally decided to sleep on the sofa.

"What? Didn't I hear it wrong? Sam said my name. This is a rare occurrence. Usually she refers to me as 'human' or 'that woman', and just now she said my name." Ana was a little shocked when she heard Sam say her name.

"Alright. Then I'll sleep with Ana on the bed, and you sleep on the sofa. Good choice." Leo winked at Sam before he went to the bathroom with a towel in his hand.

"I'll take a shower, then you guys can shower after I'm done. I'm tired and want to sleep." Leo walked into the bathroom.

After Leo's departure, the atmosphere became quiet. There was no conversation between Sam and Ana. They were both really awkward.

Ana tidied up her clothes, looking for something to wear after the shower. Likewise with Sam, he was also looking for clothes to wear after the shower.

After about 20 minutes, Leo finally finished bathing. Leo came out of the bathroom with wet hair. Leo came out of the bathroom in his sleeping pajamas, he put on his clothes in the bathroom.

After Leo came out, Sam and Ana walked straight to the bathroom.

But when they realized they were walking together, they immediately stopped their steps.

Sam looked at Ana, and vice versa.

"I'll take a shower first." After saying that, Sam went straight into the bathroom with quick steps.

Ana sighed. Ana went to the sofa, she sat on the sofa, waiting for Sam to finish showering.

Ana watched Leo who was drying his hair with a hairdryer.

"I'm so sleepy." Leo yawned widely. His eyes looked tired.

After finishing drying his hair, Leo immediately laid down on the bed. Leo immediately closed his eyes, he went straight to sleep because he was so sleepy.

"He fell asleep very quickly. Just lying down is already fast asleep." Ana heard Leo's soft snoring.

Standing up, she walked to the window. Ana opened the curtains of the hotel room window to see the view outside.

"It's already dark. And it's raining heavily outside." Ana saw flashes of lightning dotting the dark, rainy night sky.

Not long after, Sam came out of the bathroom. "I'm done." Sam spoke so that Ana, who was focused on looking at the view outside the hotel, would realize she was done showering.

Ana was surprised when she heard Sam's voice. Without lingering, Ana went straight into the bathroom.

After laying down his towel, Sam dried his hair with Leo's hairdryer.

Just like Leo, Sam was also tired. I don't know why he's been tired lately. Maybe the burden of thought was one of the causes.

After drying his hair, Sam immediately adjusted the lighting in their room. Sam dimmed the room lighting because he was going to sleep.

After she finished adjusting the room lighting, Sam laid herself down on the sofa.

"It's a good thing the sofa is soft." Sam was grateful that the hotel had expensive, good quality sofas. So his body wouldn't hurt sleeping on the sofa.

Sam closed his eyes, hoping that if he woke up tomorrow, his day would be better than today.

About 20 minutes Ana was in the bathroom, now Ana had come out of the bathroom.

When she came out, Ana was surprised to see that the room lighting was very dim.

Ana looked at the sofa. "Apparently he's already asleep too." Ana said to herself.

Ana looked at Leo. Leo was already fast asleep in the warmth of his thick blanket. Then Ana looked back at Sam. Sam wasn't wearing a blanket, even though the weather was cold because it was raining heavily outside.

Ana took the blanket provided by the hotel, then she walked to the sofa. Slowly and carefully, Ana spread the blanket over Sam's body. Ana didn't want Sam to wake up. If Sam woke up, she could be cursed by Sam again.

"Why aren't you wearing a blanket? It's cold." Ana spoke softly while adjusting the blanket on Sam's body.

"I'm only doing this for your own good. It's a good thing you're already asleep. If you had woken up, then your evil mouth would have cursed me again." It looked like Ana was still upset with Sam.

After finishing putting the blanket on Sam, Ana went straight to drying her hair with the hairdryer.

"This is Leo's, right? Leo won't get mad if I wear it. It's different if it's Sam's, I might get skinned by Sam for wearing his stuff." Ana laughed sarcastically while drying her hair.

Ana hummed in a low voice. She sang while drying her hair. Ana thought this was not just her habit, singing while doing any activity. It seemed like everyone was doing the same thing, singing while doing any activity.

"Her voice is pretty good." Sam said to herself.

Yes, Sam wasn't asleep yet. Only her eyes were closed, but she wasn't asleep.

Sam also realized when Ana put the blanket on him earlier. Sam deliberately did not open his eyes, he had no energy to fight with Ana.

"It turns out this girl isn't so bad," Sam thought to herself.

"Maybe I was too harsh on her?" Sam asked himself.

"Ahh, me why would I think that? I'm mad at her because she did something wrong. Otherwise, I wouldn't be angry either." Sam didn't want to blame herself.

"Never mind, I better get some sleep." Sam closed her eyes again, she chose to forget her thoughts about Ana.
