Only mine
Janna
I threw the pillows to the floor in frustration, my anger boiling within me like a tempest. Michelle's words echoed in my mind, and the truth in them gnawed at my conscience. I couldn't deny the connection she had with Stella, Jake's sister-in-law. It wasn't lost on me that Michelle might know more about Jake's current life than I did.
"I can't believe this!" I muttered to myself, pacing around the room. "Jake has moved on, and he's got someone else. How could he forget everything we had?"
My mind raced with memories of the past, back when Jake and I were deeply in love. The pain of leaving him behind for what I believed was a better future with a supposed mate haunted me. But now, faced with the reality that Jake had someone new, resentment and jealousy surged through me.
"I was his first love, his everything. How dare he replace me?" I seethed, gripping the edge of the bed as if it were Jake's throat. The irrational anger intensified, fueled by the fear that I had lost him for good.
A bitter laugh escaped my lips as I recalled the way Jake had pined for me after our separation. His anguish had been palpable, and I had reveled in the power it gave me. Now, the tables had turned, and I couldn't stomach the thought of him finding happiness without me.
"Why should he be happy? Why should he have a family when I'm not a part of it?" I muttered, resentment consuming me. The idea of Jake building a life with someone else, creating a new family, infuriated me beyond reason.
I sank onto the bed, burying my face in my hands, as a tumultuous mix of emotions overwhelmed me. The longing for what we once had clashed with the bitter reality that Jake had moved on. The room felt stifling, trapping me in a whirlwind of regret, anger, and jealousy.
I clenched my fists, determined to reclaim what I believed was rightfully mine. "I won't let this unknown woman steal Jake away from me. I'll make him see that I'm the one he truly loves."
With renewed determination, I wiped away the remnants of my tears, my eyes now blazing with a fervent resolve. The battle for Jake's heart had just begun, and I was ready to wage war, consequences be damned.
I wiped away the last traces of my tears, my determination replacing the earlier frustration. The revelation about Jake's new life had shaken me, but I refused to be defeated. Instead, I saw it as an opportunity to reclaim what was rightfully mine. Clenching my fists, I vowed to do whatever it took to win Jake back.
"I won't let that new woman take Jake away from me," I muttered to myself, my voice resolute. "I'll make sure he sees that I'm the one meant to be by his side, not her."
The thought of Jake marrying someone else, especially someone unknown, fueled the fire within me. My fingers traced the delicate chain around my neck, where a locket containing a picture of Jake and me dangled. It was a reminder of the love we once shared, a love I was determined to rekindle.
I stood up and walked over to the mirror, gazing at my reflection with a newfound determination. "Jake may not have married her yet, but I can't let it get to that point. I have to act fast, before he commits to someone else."
The image of Jake smiling at another woman, calling her his Luna, sent shivers down my spine. No, that wasn't how our story was supposed to end. I deserved to be the Luna of Crescent Moon pack, not some stranger.
As I began to strategize, my mind buzzed with ideas. "I need to make Jake remember our love, our connection. He needs to see that we're destined to be together."
I took a deep breath, rehearsing the words I would use to remind Jake of our shared history. "I'll make him realize that he can't find a love like ours anywhere else."
The air in the room crackled with my determination as I planned my next move. "I'll make sure Jake understands that he's meant to be with me. I'll be his past, present, and future."
The prospect of winning Jake back fueled a renewed energy within me. With a determined glint in my eyes, I whispered to my reflection, "Jake, you'll soon remember the love we had. And you'll choose me over anyone else, especially that damn new woman."
I scrutinized my reflection in the mirror, ensuring that every detail of my appearance met my high standards. My eyes, lined with a touch of seductive makeup, were intense and captivating. The curve of my lips accentuated by a bold red shade gave off an air of confidence. Satisfied, I ran my fingers through my curled hair, each strand falling perfectly into place.
I couldn't help but smile at the vision before me. "As stunning as ever," I murmured to myself. Confidence was my armor, and tonight, it was more crucial than ever.
Grabbing my car keys, I strode purposefully to the door, my heels clicking against the floor. The sleek black car awaited me in the parking lot, a symbol of my status and success. Opening the door, I slid into the driver's seat, the engine roaring to life.
As I drove through the city, my mind raced with thoughts of Jake. The determination to win him back pulsed through my veins. I couldn't let him slip away, not when I was so close to making him mine again.
Parking in front of Jake's residence, I took a deep breath. "This is it," I whispered to myself, my hand resting on the car door handle. Tonight, I would lay the groundwork for my plan, reminding Jake of the passion and connection we once shared.
Exiting the car, I smoothed down my dress, the fabric hugging my curves. With each confident step, I approached Jake's front door, rehearsing the words I would use to captivate him once more.
