Chapter 3 This Man Is Daddy
The two adorable expressions on their faces, observed by Trista, made her think that her two precious little kids were just too cute!
She couldn't help but squat down and pinch their chubby baby cheeks.
"However, you do look incredibly cute dressed like this. Nelly will definitely be charmed when she sees you!"
She could already imagine how excited Nelly would be when she saw these two children.
"Let's go. We shouldn't keep Anne waiting."
As she said that, she planned to hold their hands.
However, Trista noticed that the little girl timidly hid behind the boy.
The little boy also regained his senses and hesitated as he asked, "Miss, are you mistaking us for someone else?"
Now it was Trista's turn to be surprised.
Then Trista couldn't help but find it funny. "Mistake? You two are the ones I gave birth to after carrying you for nine months. How could I possibly mistake you? And you, little guy, calling me Miss? Did Eudora watch some TV drama and make you act like this with me?!"
Eudora loved role play!
Trista went along with it and coaxed. "It's fine when we're at home on regular days. I can play with you, but we just came back to the country, and there are many things to do, so let's stop playing, okay? Come with me..."
As she spoke, she intended to hold their little hands.
To her surprise, the little boy became even more cautious.
Trista couldn't help but chuckle.
Weren't they addicted to acting?
"Is this some kind of amnesia act this time? Well then, can I at least prove it?"
Saying that she took out her phone and clicked the photo album. "See, all your photos from childhood to now are here!"
The little boy looked at the phone screen in front of him, completely stunned.
He was certain that he didn't recognize the beautiful lady before him.
But on the lady's phone, there were their pictures!
To be more precise, pictures of two people who looked exactly like them!
What was going on?
While the little boy was lost in thought, Trista put away her phone and said, "Can we go now?"
Saying that, without waiting for their response, she picked up one in each hand and started walking back.
Trista didn't notice at all that something was off about the two children.
The little boy's gaze shifted uncertainly.
Originally, he was going to resist.
But because of the photos just now and the inexplicable familiarity emanating from the lady, he hesitated.
He needed to figure out what was going on.
As he thought of this, he wanted to comfort his sister.
His sister was shy and wouldn't let anyone touch her except for him, their grandparents, and their father.
To his surprise, his sister showed no signs of fear on her face and instead curiously stared at the lady in front of them...
...
At the airport...
Anne was accompanying the two children, waiting for Trista to come back.
After waiting for a while, they didn't see Trista.
Boris couldn't help but discuss it with Eudora. "Should we go find Mommy? She might have gotten lost again."
Trista has always had a poor sense of direction, and getting lost at the airport wasn't a rare occurrence.
Anne also had doubts and said, "I'll go with you."
But Boris refused. "No need, Anne. You stay here and watch the luggage. It's not convenient to push them with so much luggage. We'll go and find her. Don't worry. We won't get lost!"
Anne hesitated for a moment, considering the intelligence of the two children, and didn't object. "Alright then, you go, but stay in touch at all times!"
The two children made an okay gesture to her, holding hands, and ran off together.
Shortly after they left, Trista returned to Anne with the two children in her arms.
Anne saw her carrying one in each arm and was surprised. "How did you come back so quickly? Didn't you just leave?"
And in the blink of an eye, how did the two children change their clothes?
Anne was momentarily confused and was about to ask when Trista's phone rang.
It was Nelly calling.
She quickly put down the two children and answered the call.
Nelly's cheerful voice quickly came from the phone. "Trista, have you arrived? I'm in the parking lot. Once you come out, you'll see me."
"We'll be there soon!"
Trista responded as she held the children's hands and hurriedly helped Anne with the suitcases.
Seeing this, Anne forgot about her questions and pushed the suitcases, leaving the airport with Trista.
Not far away, the real Boris and Eudora watched in shock as they saw Trista and the children leaving.
Eudora widened her eyes in disbelief and asked cautiously, "Boris, did you see that? The people Mommy was holding... Why do they look exactly like us?!"
Boris also snapped out of his shock and nodded. "I saw it."
Eudora asked with confusion, "What's going on? Could it be that our souls have left our bodies?"
"Stop watching those uninteresting supernatural TV shows."
Boris patted Eudora's head and then rubbed his chin, lost in thought. "Although I don't know what's happening, is it possible that those two people are our siblings? Our siblings were born together with us! That's the only way Mommy could have mistaken them!"
"But how is that possible? Mommy clearly said that our siblings are dead."
Eudora scratched her head, her cute face filled with doubt and incomprehension.
That was also where Boris was puzzled.
Trista had given birth to two boys first, followed by two girls.
He was the oldest, and Eudora was the youngest.
The second and third children were gone!
But now, the two children whom Mommy said were gone had appeared in this country.
There was definitely something wrong!
Boris was clever, so he reacted faster than Eudora.
He suspected their gone siblings might have been taken back to the country without Mommy's knowledge.
As for who took them away...
It was probably that bad guy who abandoned Mommy!
As Boris had this thought, several bodyguards in black suits suddenly appeared behind the two children, surrounding them.
The young man in charge, his face anxious, said, "Thank goodness... Young Master, Young Miss, you made it hard for us to find you!"
As he spoke, he gasped for breath and couldn't help but size them up while speaking.
After confirming that they were unharmed, he muttered, "I knew something was off when we couldn't find you. Turns out you changed your outfits! Hurry, come with us. Mr. Myers is getting angry."
Saying that, without waiting for the siblings' reaction, he bent down and picked them up.
Eudora was startled but didn't struggle.
She recognized the man holding them as Matthew's personal assistant, Colby!
She had seen him before when Boris was investigating the Myers family's information.
Boris became even calmer, and he even squinted his eyes slightly.
"It seems like my guess was right!"
Leaving aside the odd suggestion from bad guy, the implication of his words...
Before returning to the country, he had been thinking that this time, he must find a way to get close to Matthew and give him a good lesson.
Unexpectedly, this step was skipped now!
Boris had an idea in his mind and gave Eudora a meaningful look.
Eudora immediately understood Boris' intention and didn't reveal their identities.
Not long after, the two children, accompanied by Colby and the bodyguards, returned to the VIP lounge at the airport.
As soon as the siblings stepped inside, they immediately felt a strong and overwhelming pressure emanating from inside.
The source of the aura was the man standing in the innermost part...
Matthew Myers!
