Chapter 3

Aziz

I turned and gave my mate a look before I opened the car door. The diner has a glass wall, so I could still see her from the outside. Just as I was about to look away, she accidentally looked my way, and our eyes met. 'Mine!' My wolf said in my head.

'Yeah, I know. But we have to do this; no one should know about her yet.' I replied and got in the car. 'You have to bear with me.' I added, and he retreated to the back of my head.

"Is there something wrong, Aziz?" My beta asked; he's sharp.

"Nothing; I was just surprised to see a human there. I didn't know that they were accepting one", I replied.

"She knew about our kind and that of the vampire. Cane thinks that she hates us for some reason." He said, and that wrinkled my forehead, waiting for the next explanation.

"She's an orphan and was living with her stepfather. I guess it was related to her parents. She hated that she had to suffer in that devastating hand because she lost the people who should have protected and loved her unconditionally." He continued, "Are you interested in her? You never pay attention to anything, especially when it is a woman or a human for that matter," he added. I didn't want to answer because I was afraid to spill the beans. I may have made him think, but that’s it. When I never asked him anything, he would stop and wouldn't even remember that I said something or anything about my mate.

We were approaching the Meadow Pack, so I scrolled down the window. I wanted to smell the scent of the trees and woods. It feels refreshing for me, especially when my mind is on my mate and what she is doing in the diner.

The Meadow Pack patrol guards had already informed their alpha, and he was sure to be waiting at the front door of the pack house. But before we reached there, I smelled something. The scent was similar to mine, and I had to be sure.

"Stop," I said, and so did Reeves. "Did you smell that?" I asked, and he started to sniff. Sharpening his senses even more.

"Isn't that your scent?" He asked,

"How the hell did my scent come from outside the car, Reeves?" I asked, annoyed, and then his eyes widened. "Go to the pack house and tell the alpha that I am on my way, following what we were looking for," I told him and got out of the car.

"Hey, wait!" He said, trying to stop me, but it was futile. He can't do anything about this because I am going, no matter what. He had to do something to mediate between me and the Meadow Pack Alpha. I have no time to explain first before I start looking for her. She might be outside the border if I did that.

I ran and followed the scent. It was her, whoever she was, from one of my siblings. I just hope that she'll understand me and forgive our parents. I pray to the moon goddess to give me knowledge of how to explain things clearly.

I was getting deeper into the woods, and I hope Reeves has been giving a good explanation so we won't have a problem later. Oh, please, I need to see you, whoever you are, who has the same scent as me. You must be my sibling, so please, wherever you are heading, stop for a while. Dad, if you are with the moon goddess now, can you ask for help so I will be able to find my siblings a little easier?

The scent got stronger and stronger until it stopped. I looked around and tried to find her or sniff her scent to follow. Then a rustling of leaves behind me made me look back, and I found a woman staring back at me.

"What are we doing here?" She asked. I want to tell her that she's my sibling, but I am afraid that it will leak and reach the vampire king and put her life in danger as well as that of our other siblings. Goddess, how am I going to ask her to come with me without telling her that I am her brother? Are you not going to answer me?" She asked again, and, damn, she was impatient too. Dad was right; she's just like our mom. I can tell that because my dad always tells me about it.

"I want to invite you into our pack if that's OK with you," I said, hopeful that she'd agree.

"You came here alone?"

"No. My beta is with the Meadow Pack's alpha, trying to explain why I had to roam around his territory without someone to guide me." I replied, and she nodded.

"Then let's go." She said so, and I sighed in relief. Thank you, goddess. I just hope that I will be able to find the other two and convince them easily, just like this. We started to walk back, and because Reeves did not mind linking me to the alpha being mad, I wanted to believe that everything was fine at his end.

We walked back to the palace, and I was thinking about what I should tell the alpha about her. I couldn't disclose our relationship to anyone just yet, not until I found the other two. "Alpha," Reeves said, greeting me and looking at the woman beside me. He was with the Meadow Pack's alpha and some warriors by the entrance of the pack house.

"Hello, Alpha Aziz. I am Alpha Miller, and I was glad that you finally found your mate." I looked at Reeves, and he just shrugged his shoulders. Now I have to pretend that she's mine. I will just say sorry to my mate when the time comes that she finds out about this. For now, I had to hide my siblings' identities.

"Yes. I was glad that I didn't have a hard time too." I replied, looking at my little sister, who was now smiling at me. The alpha looked at us, so I decided to excuse ourselves. "Because of this, I would like to inform you that we will be leaving now."

"That soon? Can't you just stay for a while and have a meal with us?"

"As much as I want to, finding her makes me want to go home and be with her. You know how mate bonds work." I replied, and I know that he got my point. That's exactly what I wanted to do when I saw my mate earlier. I want to bring her to the pack house, lock her in my room, and claim her.

"I guess we can't do anything about it." Alpha Miller said, smiling. "Well, congratulations, and I am looking forward to the invitation to her Luna ceremony." He added, and I nodded in agreement, even if I knew to myself that it was not going to happen.

Reeves started to walk, and I followed after I took my sister's hand and led her to where the car was parked. "Are we going to drop by where your mate was?" My sister asked when we were just outside the Meadow Pack's territory. Reeves stepped on the break, which made us almost hit the front seats.

"What do you mean, mate?" My beta asked and looked at me, confused.

"Oh, I'm sorry. He didn't know." My sister said, which made me roll my eyes at her. But what bothers me is the fact that she knew it when I never told Reeves about my mate. It was as if she could read my thoughts.

"Yes," she said.

"What?" I asked, and Reeves looked at us alternately.

"Yes. I can read your thoughts." She answered, and that made me and Reeves speechless. "The reason that I am telling you this is because I know that I can trust you and your beta." I looked at my friend, and my mind linked him to continuing driving.

"You didn't answer my question; are we going to stop by your mate? I asked since your beta knows it already."

"Does having a sister always look like this? And I need to find another two, which I think are like her." I complained and heard her and Reeves laugh.

"Let's go back to the diner," I said after.

"So it was a human," Reeves replied. I couldn't hide it from him anymore, so I nodded. "I am going to ask someone to look after her secretly." He added. I sighed heavily because I still didn't know what I needed to do about her. Then I remember my sister,

"Don't you dare read my thoughts now, little sister," I warned her, but she just shrugged her shoulders. "What's your name?"

"I thought you'd never ask. I am Hera, and yes, I am an omega, but I have the mind-reading ability."

"I take it that you handle yourself well while you're there. Judging by your personality, I can tell that you are very free-spirited and smart." She smiled, and then we continued talking and got to know each other while we continued driving.

"We're here." Reeves said, which made me look outside the window. The diner was still full, but I knew that they would find us a seat. We got out of the car and entered. My mate's scent was the first thing I noticed, so I roamed my eyes around only to find her talking to another man. A human customer with a flower in his hands offers it to her.

I saw red when I saw her take the flower, and I was about to go and confront her, but Reeves and Hera stopped me. 'She doesn't know. Don't make a scene and scare everyone, especially your mate.' My beta mind linked me.

Then my mate suddenly looked my way and said, "The arrogant freak is back." Hera said, "That's what she said in her mind; I think she was referring to you since she was looking at you now." She added, and my forehead creased.

'Everyone's looking, Alpha.' Reeves reminded me, so I had to calm myself.

"Let's just go home," I said and turned around. I don't think I will be able to stop myself from claiming her if I am going to see her like this. I had to find all my sisters soon so I could be with my mate. I fucking want her.

'No, go back! I want her, NOW!" Alpha, my wolf said angrily. It was the first time that he had done that, so I closed my eyes. Then I turned around and went back to the diner, straight to Cane and his mate's office.

"Get me your human crew," I commanded, and Cane's mate rushed, while Alpha was so angry and impatiently waiting. Then I smelled her. I stood up when the door opened, and she emerged.

"Mine!"
