5. A match made in hell

Oliver’s POV

I despise the fact that she was watching me fuck Lisa had gotten me off, I had pictured her under me, moaning my name while begging and screaming for me to go harder while I had deprived her of the right to cum–I hated I had no control over my thoughts, making it clear that she couldn’t stay here I had never been so out of control yet she came barging into my life everything had never felt so wrong, the urge to smash the phone in my hand felt their ways into my bones.

I needed to speak with my Grandma, I wanted her to see it from my point of view, so many reasons why she couldn’t stay here, she is a human–they are pathetic, I turned to Lisa “Stay here” I ordered, she nodded snuggling under the blanket, she needed to know she was nothing more than a mere good lay.

On my way to grandma’s room, I could perceive the distinct smell of vanilla which I have come to know belonged to Freya, I hated it, I wanted to believe so badly but I knew it was a lie–it was the first thing that had drawn me to her the moment we had crossed path.

I knocked, waiting for her to welcome me into her room, come to the consequent minute I stood there pondering what she was doing behind that closed door, the foot thumps in the floorboard confirmed to me she was in there unless I would have thought otherwise.

“Grandma?” I called, seeming more confused than ever–bending the door handle I noticed it wasn’t locked afraid something might have happened to her, I rushed into the room and nothing would have prepared me for the sight that beheld me, there she was dancing with an headset placed on her ears wondering what was going on I asked “what are you doing?” and pulled them off her ears about to protest she stopped staring at me with a disapproving look painted across her face.

“Where are your manners boys?” she questioned her hands akimbo on her hips “Don’t you know you should knock before entering?”

“Well I did, but you were here dancing” I dangled the headset in front of her face.

“Meditating” she corrected, snatching them off my hands, she must have noticed the confused look on my face before elaborating, “Freya said this keeps the body and mind healthy”

“About that, she needs to go, there is no place for a weak human in our world” I stated not putting it out for an argument but as usual she wanted to have the last say.

“You should be grateful to the moon goddess she had found you a mate, here I was thinking I wasn’t going to carry your pups” she laughed, typical of her to be thinking about children when I hadn’t even accepted her.

“Grateful?”I scoffed “There are not going to be any pups with that pathetic weak human”

“Shut it before the moon goddess curses you” she cautioned “She has her reason for pairing you both together, and you both would make cute pups” There again with that talk, I could barely look at her without feeling irritated not to talk about mating.

“There is a rift between us and them, she isn’t someone you should trust so easily even though she is my mate,” I said with so much disdain I could.

Watching her eyes crinkled as she laughed her heart out “My wolf has never felt so safe in a human presence, so quit this, she isn’t going anywhere, and by the way, I don’t want to see that toy you brought anywhere around here” she referred to her side of the house.

I scowled wondering how she knew, I had made it a point to sneak her in so she wouldn’t find out but I guess she picked up her strong strawberry scent–I could even smell it from the other side of the house where I stood.

I couldn’t explain the fact I was fucking someone so I had alternated to focus solely on the issue with my mate “The moon goddess made a fucking mistake, and I will prove that to you”

She smiled patting my shoulder like it was fun watching me unfold messily “Your biological clock is ticking, you either leave that poor girl alone and look for another girl to bother as you have made it clear you don’t like her”

As she was talking my eyes caught little movement at the small gap between the door seal and the door–it was my so-called mate, Freya there she stood eavesdropping on our conversation while not being subtle about it, making it precise I could see her “You have a voyeur for a caretaker, who doesn’t know not to eavesdrop on other people’s conversation” I laughed seeing the pissed off expression on her face, she frowned at me, she would have been fun to play with but she was human–an obstacle stopping every relationship that could have occurred between us.

Grandmother turned her back to me focusing on the ingredients for dinner on the counter “Drop the matter, you should give up trying to convince me when my mind is already made up” she said “My instinct has never been wrong” she chided

Before I could get another word in, she waves me off starting dinner preparation “Dinner is at 8 pm” She looked at me pointedly knowing I wouldn’t be there “Make sure to be there, I mean it”

Indirectly meaning I would eat dinner with Freya and my grandma acting like glue and forcing small talk between us, feeling irritated by her request “Yes, Mrs. Callum” she hummed in approval, feeling annoyed and bitter my grandmother wasn’t going to let her go, I walked out of the kitchen brushing her shoulder on purpose I couldn’t ignore the connection between us–neither could I embrace it.

I could feel the anger brewing in me wanting to put it off, I walked into my office to burn it off but my mind was anywhere but here, knowing this was in no way going to favor me, I decided to go for a drive.

I ran into Freya on my way to the garage, little tint of red colored her cheeks–she was blushing, I guess I tend to get that kind of reaction from the female population but it was obvious this was for another reason, she had seen me with another girl and loved it, her arousal was a proof of that.

Walking past her I decided to make it a habit of her watching while I rail into a girl from behind.

I entered my car leaving behind my thoughts of Freya– if only it was that easy, my phone dinged with a notification, it was Lily as usual not knowing her place.

Shooting her a quick text that I don’t want to see her anywhere around my room when I get back.

Feeling someone stare at me, I looked up noticing Freya standing there looking at me–I wanted nothing to do with her then why the hell couldn’t I let the thought of her out of my head– why did the moon goddess think a human and alpha would be a great match? Talk about a match made in hell.
