Chapter 24
Addison's Point of View
I took a deep breath and made my way to the hotel, seeking out Agatha. She was in the room, preparing lunch for Alden with her usual grace and warmth. As I approached her, I could feel the love and adoration I held for her swell within me.
"Agatha," I began, my voice filled with a mix of trepidation and sincerity. "There's something I need to talk to you about."
She turned toward me, her eyes filled with concern. "What is it, Addison? You seem troubled."
I took her hands in mine, gazing deeply into her eyes. "I need to be honest with you. Last night, something happened. I met someone, and there was a connection. It's tearing me apart because you're my mate, but I can't deny the feelings I have. I don't know why I feel this way about another woman."
Agatha's expression softened, a mix of understanding and sadness crossing her features. "Addison, love is a complicated thing. I can't deny the pain I feel, but I also can't deny your honesty. We've always promised to be truthful with each other, no matter what."
Tears welled up in my eyes as I nodded, grateful for her understanding. "I don't know what the future holds, Agatha, but I promise to navigate this with utmost care and respect for you and our bond."
Amelia's point of view
I sat on the edge of the hotel room bed, nervously fidgeting with the hem of my dress. Agatha paced back and forth, her brows furrowed with worry. We had been through so much together, and now it was time to make a difficult decision.
"Amelia," Agatha said, her voice filled with concern. "I don't want you to worry about the bills. It's my responsibility."
I looked up at her, my heart swelling with gratitude. "Agatha, we're in this together. We've always been a team, and I won't let you face this alone."
Agatha sighed, her eyes filled with tears. "But Amelia, you have your whole life ahead of you. I don't want you to sacrifice your dreams for me."
I reached out and took her hands in mine, squeezing them gently. "Agatha, my dreams can wait. Right now, what matters most is keeping our family safe and secure. We'll find a way to make it work, I promise."
A knock on the door interrupted our conversation, and we both turned our heads towards it. Agatha wiped away her tears and went to answer them. Standing in the doorway was Alden.
"Hey, guys," he said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "I heard you talking about the bills. I've been thinking, maybe I can help too."
Agatha and I exchanged surprised glances. "What do you mean, Alden?" I asked, curious.
Alden took a deep breath, his eyes shining with determination. "I've heard about this nearby pack that offers scholarships for kids like me. They have a great school, and I can stay there during the week. It'll keep me away from harm's way, and I can focus on my studies."
Agatha and I were speechless, our hearts swelling with pride for him. "Alden, that's an incredible idea," Agatha finally managed to say, her voice filled with emotion.
I nodded, a smile spreading across my face. "You're so brave, Alden. We'll support you every step of the way."
Alden beamed, relief evident on his face. "Thank you, guys. I know it won't be easy, but I want to do this for our family."
As we sat in the hotel room, the three of us began to plan. We made phone calls, researched the nearby pack, and discussed logistics. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of excitement and apprehension.
"Okay, Alden," I said, looking at him with determination. "We'll get you enrolled in that pack and make sure you have everything you need. You're going to thrive there."
Alden grinned, his eyes shining with hope. "I can't wait, Amelia. Thank you both for believing in me."
Agatha and I shared a knowing look. "We'll always believe in you, Alden," Agatha said, her voice filled with love. "And we'll always be here for you."
Later that night, I walked into the club, where the pulsating music and dim lights created an atmosphere of anticipation. It had been two days since I started working here, and tonight, I couldn't shake off the memories of what happened the last time I was here. The encounter that both thrilled and terrified me
As I made my way through the crowd, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and guilt. The mask I wore that night concealed my identity, allowing me to indulge in a moment of reckless abandon. Little did I know that the consequences of that night would haunt me.
Addison. The name echoed in my mind, his face still a blur. He had been a stranger, unaware of my true identity. But as we connected in that intimate moment, a spark ignited within me. I couldn't help but wonder if he was the same person who happened to be Agatha's mate.
I found myself drawn to him, inexplicably attracted to the forbidden. The thought of being involved with my sister's mate was an abomination, a betrayal of the highest order. Yet the pull was undeniable. I needed to know if it was him or if fate had brought us together in this twisted way.
I scanned the club, searching for any sign of Addison. The music thumped in my ears, drowning out my thoughts. And then, there he was, standing near the bar, his eyes scanning the crowd. My heart raced, and I took a deep breath, gathering the courage to approach him.
"Excuse me," I said, my voice barely audible over the music. "Are you Addison?"
He turned to face me, his eyes filled with curiosity. "Yes, that's me. Do I know you?" He asked, trying to look beyond my new mask to recognize my face.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to proceed. "No, we haven't met before. I just thought... I thought you looked familiar."
Addison raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Well, I'm flattered. But I'm pretty sure I would remember meeting someone as beautiful as you."
