Chapter 3
The man earlier was Steve, Clarie's stepfather, he often came to see Clarie at her flat after knowing where the girl lived from an acquaintance at the bar.
Her mother separated from her biological father when she was young, and her mother remarried a man she met at the bar where she worked. Steve and Silvia married and have a daughter named Caitlin who was currently twelve years old.
The relationship between Clarie and her mother was not harmonious, because Clarie was almost harassed by her drunken stepfather at the time. Then Clarie asked her mother to divorce the man, but Silvia refused.
At the age of seventeen, Clarie decided to leave home and chose to live alone. Initially, she worked in a mini market and fast food restaurant to finance her life and study.
After the meeting with her stepfather earlier, Clarie's mood worsened. She also contacted Daniele and asked her to come to her house.
Less than thirty minutes later her best friend arrived at her flat.
"Why don't you just kick him out, that bastard?!" scolded Daniele angrily. She hated it when she saw the man coming just to blackmail Clarie over and over again. "Stupid!" She added.
Daniele always spoke frankly without knowing the place, and would not hesitate to call Clarie when She found out that the girl had done something stupid.
"Okay, don't think about it. If he comes and asks for money again, just kick him in the groin until he falls over in pain. Please, Clarie, don't be weak!" cried Daniele again emotion.
"Okay! Okay!" Clarie replied annoyed.
"Change your clothes, we're going to the club tonight!" cried Daniele while opening the window of Clarie's room to smoke.
"What a coincidence, I'm in a bad mood!" said Clarie from inside her room.
Clarie wanted so badly to get drunk tonight, and forget about her annoyance with her stepfather earlier. She doesn't need to be afraid if she drinks until she's drunk, there's Ronald, Daniele's older brother who works there as a bartender will monitor them.
Clarie wore an orange dress with a length above the knee and an exposed neck. Her golden brown curls flowed beautifully down her back. Clarie had a body that was not too tall, but a little stocky.
"I am ready!" she said standing with one hand on her waist.
Daniele turned to Clarie and looked seductively at the girl.
"I guarantee you will fall into the arms of a man tonight," she said confidently.
Clarie laughed at Daniele's words.
"Let's go!" asked Clarie while taking her handbag.
About thirty minutes later the two arrived at the nightclub where Daniele’s older brother Ronald worked. They didn't come here very often, because Ronald was always busy with work.
"Hello beautiful ladies, what would you like to order?" said Ronald to welcome the two women.
"I want some Scotch," Daniele asked.
"You?" Ronald asked Clarie.
"Um, just match it. Haha ...."
"Okay. Wait!"
Ronald placed two small glasses of Daniele and Clarie's orders.
From upstairs a man frowned when his eyes accidentally fell on a girl who was at the bartender's table. Girl in an orange dress.
"Sexy," he said softly.
"Any targets?" asked Joe, supporting his hand on the guardrail.
"Nothing," Lucas said flatly. "Let's go downstairs," he said, tapping his friend's shoulder lightly.
Lucas walked towards the stairs with Joe following behind him. The two arrived at the bartender's and ordered Vodka. Lucas was still watching the girl in the orange dress who was sitting not far from where he was sitting.
Joe was talking to the woman next to him. Meanwhile, Lucas was still monitoring Clarie from a distance that the girl couldn't see.
A man approached a nearly drunk Clarie.
"Are you drunk, honey?" who is that foreign man
"Who are you?!" asked Clarie curtly.
"Relax, honey. How about we get down on the dance floor?" take the man.
"Don't want to!" Clarie rejected the man flatly.
Clarie turned her head left and right trying to locate Daniele. However, she could not find her best friend. Daniele said goodbye earlier to go to the toilet. However, until now the bridge of her nose has not yet appeared. Clarie was forced to pick her up there, worried that something would happen to her friend.
"Ronald, I'm going to follow Daniele to the toilet," She said to the bartender who had his hands covered in tattoos.
"Okay, Clarie. Get back here quickly," the man replied.
Lucas was still watching Clarie get down from the bar stool, then soon the man who was harassing the girl followed her.
Lucas also followed the man, worried about the girl because she had refused earlier.
"Hey! Luke, where are you going?!" shouted Joe who was still chatting with the woman beside him.
Lucas didn't answer, choosing to walk quickly towards the hallway that was in the direction of the toilet.
"Daniel?!" Clarie shouted from outside the toilet door. "Are you in it?" she called again as she pushed open the door.
There was a sound of moaning from inside the toilet cubicle. She didn't know whose voice it is. Clarie chose to head back out. But unlucky, the man she rejected earlier was in front of her with a disgusting grin.
"Move!" She said.
"You're not going anywhere else, Beauty. Hehehe!"
Suddenly the man took out a handkerchief from his trouser pocket. Clarie's eyes widened as the man lunged at her and pressed the handkerchief to her face.
"Bastard!" screamed Clarie who had rebelled and in the end, her body went limp due to the influence of the anesthetic.
"Finally we're going to have fun," the man chuckled happily.
"You cowardly man!" hissed a voice behind the man as he lifted Clarie up.
"Mind your own business!"
"What you brought is my fiancee," Lucas lied.
The man chuckled. Laugh at Lucas' words.
"You think I believe. Huh?!" Continuing to walk towards the back door with Clarie still in his arms.
"Let her go or you will regret it!" Lucas hissed sharply.
" How about we take turns fucking her?" asked the man making an offer.
"I don't like sharing!" he said.
"You're wasting my time, bastard!" cursed the man annoyed. "Stop me if you can!" challenge him again.
Not wanting to waste time, Lucas immediately lunged at the man so that Clarie was released from his arms.
Damn it! he said angrily. He left Clarie lying on the floor.
The two men clashed with each other's muscle strength. Lucas managed to easily parry all the punches that the man threw, then return to the inevitable attacks.
Bugh!
Lucas' fist lodged in the man's stomach and knocked him down.
"Argh! Damn it!" The man groaned in pain and was unable to get up to answer Lucas.
Lucas patted his dirty pants and shirt with dust. Then approached Clarie who was still lying down and unconscious. Lucas lifted Clarie's body with both hands and led her out of this lonely alley.
"You're mine, Clarie Evans," Lucas said as he kissed the corner of the girl's lips softly.
That morning Clarie woke up with a throbbing head. She saw the white blanket that covered her body, she suddenly realized. Her eyes scanned around the room with a blank stare.
This room looks neat and spacious. Clarie came to her senses again and saw that the clothes she was wearing had changed, no longer wearing the orange dress she wore last night. She started to panic.
Clarie saw the door that seemed to lead to a balcony open, as the curtains covering it fluttered in the wind.
Someone appeared from there, the girl's heart was beating fast.
"Good morning, Clarie Evans," said the deep voice. The girl's eyes widened at the man who greeted her.
