CHAPTER THREE: ANDERSON HIGH SCHOOL.

Ariel had just had a refreshing bath andcwas headed for her room when the sight of Ivy squatting over with her arm outstretched toward her backpack greeted her.

"What are you doing?" Ariel questioned Ivy warily.

"Nothing,really. I came over to say goodnight to you when I...I found your things strewn all over so I was just about to help pick them up." Ivy answered shakily.

"Ooooh..." Ariel drawled .

"If there's nothing else,I'll head back to my room." Ivy said while bolting out of the room.

Ariel went back and scrutinised the things that were all over the place. If she remembered correctly, Ivy's hand was outstretched toward the backpack. She followed the direction and sure enough, she saw the jade pendant that was shining brightly. She suddenly understood.

That's right. That jade pendant was given ti her by her grandmother before she passed away. It was mysterious. Her grandmother had advised her to keep it safe where no one would be able to access it. She had been too careless to remember such precious words. The pendant was almost stolen. Ariel took the pendant and studied it curiously. Inside, a tinge of scarlet red could be seen. The pendant also emitted a Warm feeling that was so comfortable. Just why was the pendant so important? She planned on unravelling thr mysteries surrounding it someday. She put the pendant in a safe and locked it with a n encryption. It was a string of codes that only She understood.She was just about to sleep when her phone rang. When she saw the caller ID,she rubbed her temples tiredly. She could feel a headache coming on. When she pressed the answer button:

Sky: "Hey boss,how are you? I heard that you went back home, how is it? Are they treating you well? Boss,I missed you boohoo.."

Ariel: "If there's nothing else,I'm hanging up."

Sky: "Boss,hey wait-"

Only a beeping sound could be heard.

"Damn it!Boss is a meanie. She didn't even allow me to express myself. Sigh. " whined Sky.

"I could feel that she isn't in a good mood,she'll contact us when all is well." Rick placated Sky.

"That's right. She definitely will." the other bros nodded their heads in unison.

Ariel sighed. Was she being treated well? of course not. She was being treated like air. This scenario seemed to match the happenings in the dream. Speaking of which, twi weeks after her grandmother died,she had a very strange yet vivid dream. In the dream,she saw herself being treated poorly by every family member she came across. At school,Ivy ruined her reputation by spreading malicious rumours about her selling her body and having multiple sugar daddies. She also hired gangsters to beat her up and rape her while recording the whole process and spread it on the Internet. At hone,when she tried to please her brothers, they always called it imitation and hypocrisy. Her parents died in a car accident while coming back from the company. Internal power strife immediately began after their deaths. Ivy somehow got a hold of the shares of the four brothers. She didn't manage to get Cliff's since she was going up against him.Her brother Amando,who was in the entertainment industry,was caught up in a rape scandal and was ousted from the entertainment industry for good. He fell into depression and later committed suicide. Aaron,the fourth born,was involved in a car crash during a racing competition and died on the spot. The second born Craig,the famous lawyer, was accused of receiving bribes and discrimination during Prosecutions thus was stripped of his title as a lawyer and was sentenced to life imprisonment. Cliff was betrayed by his secretary thus he lost all the businesses he owned in just two days. Ariel on the other hand,toiled hard to make ends meet for the surviving family members while Ivy ravished in luxuries and married a rich businessman . The dream seemed too true especially since things had started manifesting themselves exactly the way they were in the dream. She had to do something to protect herself and her family.

The following day,Ariel woke up and prepared to report to her new school. It's the same school that Ivy attends. Anderson high school was well-known as an elite school since everyone that attended it was from an aristocratic family. The other group that could manage to study there were the poor students who got scholarships through performing well. The two of them, (Ivy and Ariel) boarded the Hovstad family car and headed for school. The ride to school was comfortable since no one was talking. Ariel went straight to the principal's office with the help of the secretary while Ivy headed straight to her class. The principal wasn't around so Ariel was told to wait. While seated there,the deputy principal came over to attend yo her under the principals instructions since he was going to be late. The deputy principal looked at her in in disgust. Since the call came directly from the principal,he was sure that Ariel's parents had pulled some strings. He had gone through her previous performance results and they weren't promising. He called the teachers of the grade she was supposed to be assigned to and questioned:

"Who is going to take the new student?"

"Excuse me sir,I have a class and I'm running late." the teacher if stream A excused herself and ran out as if she was being chased by a dog.

"I can't take her,she will drag down our average score,I'm sorry. " the one for stream B said apologetically.

The class teacher for stream C was still in class so the inly one remaining was that of stream D ,Mr Roy,who gladly accepted Ariel into his class. In the grade Ariel was enrolled in, there were four streams. Stream A was for the excellent performers like Ivy. Stream B was for those whose performance was termed good. Stream C was average while stream D was the poorest performer and had rowdy students.

"Hi student,my name is Roy,what about you?" Mr Roy greeted her.

"Hello,I'm Ariel Hovstad" Ariel responded.

"Alright,follow me. Let me introduce you to my students." Mr Roy said

Together they headed for stream D.

"Holy shit! where did this angel come from?!!"
