CHAPTER SIX: THE GODDESS OF WAR
The girls suddenly raised their batons,ready to strike Ariel without warning. Ariel on the other hand was lazily stretching as if she had not sensed any looming danger. She stretched her neck,cracked her knuckles and stretched her limbs too. Just as the batons were about to strike her,no one saw how she moved but after a few seconds,everyone was sprawled on the ground,spitting out mouthfuls of blood. Ariel suddenly moved a step closer to Claire,who was the leader of the group at that time.
"You...you,don't come closer!" Claire shrieked in terror while shrinking back and covering her head.
"Oh? scared now? Why weren't you scared when you aimed the batons at me huh?" Ariel asked smilingly while inching closer to her.
"You...what do you want?" Claire asked cautiously,trepidation evident in her voice.
"Tell me,who sent you ?" Asked Ariel while playfully swinging the baton in her hand. This made Claire and her team scared out of their wits.
"It...it was Sophie. She was the one who sent us to teach you a lesson " Claire hurriedly explained while the other girls nodded their heads in unison as a way of confirming that what she said was the truth.
"Oh,so what did she tell you to do and why?" Ariel asked,confusion evident in her voice. As far as she remembered, it was just her first day in school and she had yet to cause trouble. She hadn't fought anyone in class. So why did Sophie want the girls to teach her a lesson?
"She..she said that you took away her crush Alan and that since you entered the class,he had been paying attention to you and not her so she wanted us to teach you a lesson to scare you away." Claire explained fearfully
'Oh so that was the case. ' Ariel thought inwardly. She didn't even know whom that Alan of a guy was. Seemed like she had to look out for herself. She didn't want problems,especially relationship problems.
"Scram!" Ariel ordered the girls coiling in fear on the ground coldly.
On hearing this,the girls on the ground scurried away on their feet as fast as they could as if they were being chased by a ghost.
In the car that was parked at a certain place,the assistant's jaw was so open that it almost hit the floor.
"Wow! She's so amazing!" The assistant Mr Liam, marveled to himself.
Bellamy Hunter on the other hand had different thoughts than what his assistant was thinking. Just now,while the girl was attacking,that technique she used- Bellamy was sure than only those people who had undergone more than ten years of military training could pull off such a move. Just who was she? His dark eyes suddenly showed a trace of interest so he turned to his assistant and instructed;
" Do a background check on her."
"Yes sir" the assistant ,who had been pulled back from his reverie responded stiffly. Damn it! the boss had such a stifling aura that could scare someone our of their wits. He had to do that background check as fast as he could before his boss lost his temper.
In a other corner, a guy who was passing by that alley,happened to see all that was happening. He excitedly took out his phone and recorded everything while whistling marvellously. She really was tye goddess of war. Which girl would tackle six girls who had batons and had ganged up on her alone and so fast? That was so shocking. He had just finished recording and was sbput to go over and ask his goddess for an autograph but when he turned to look,no one was in sight. He just sighed regretfully and turned to his phone to look at the video he had recorded on his phone. Fuck! he really had great photographic skills . He basked in pride while watching the video he had recorded. After he arrived at his place, the first thing he did was to upload the video on his timeliness with the caption;
" Fuck! today I got to witness the goddess of war perform what she does best. Isn't she cool? That's why I decided to take her as my goddess from now on!"
Since it was a student from Anderson high school,he definitely had followers from his school. The video was later shared by almost everyone in Anderson high school till it became a trending topic both in school and the timelines.
"Wow,she's so cool!,hey Ariel,have you seen the video that has vern circulating one?" Maya asked Ariel,who had just woken up from her nap.
"Huh?" Ariel was still sleepy so her voice sounded groggy while she asked Maya in confusion.
"Look," Maya said while tapping on her phone screen and showing her. In the video,Ariel saw herself tackling six girls . Damn! She thought she had hidden herself so well. Who knew she would be recorded ? Good thing is that it wax just her back view that was facing the camera.
"How is it?" Maya curiously asked while looking at Ariel expectantly.
" Just so-so " Ariel answered casually.
Huh? forget it ,Maya thought.Since her desk mate didn't seem to be impressed by many things. But as long as she was beautiful.
"Hey,Why do I find her back view somewhat familiar?" Fatty suddenly asked while rewinding the video.
"Wgat do you mean fatty?" his desk mate asked while those surrounding him looked at him curiously.
It wasn't just fatty that had this suspicion. Alan, the studious guy also the sane thought. He suddenly glanced over at some girl the front row and turned back to his books as if nothing happened.
"Fuck! don't tell me it's..."
