Chapter 3 Trapped in Darkness
CHAPTER Three
ALLISON POV.
Not long have I left, did I hear Aurora banging on my room door? "How could you do this to me, Allison," she yelled.
"I trusted you. I thought you were supposed to be my sister," she continued. "Allison opens the door now," she screamed.
"Mother, Allison is bullying me. She took the second thing I care about," she yelled. "Father, Allison is being mean to me. She has always been jealous. She has always wanted my beauty, and now she took the second thing I care about," she went on.
Of course, her beauty comes first, and who was the king to compete against it? I heard footsteps outside and our parents' voices.
"What's the noise about? Allison? Give your sister her stuff back," Father yelled.
"Will you tell us what is wrong, baby?" Mother asked, her voice so soft. "Allison is the king, mate, not me but her," she announces.
"She knows how much I love him, and yet she stole him away from me," Aurora continued.
"How could I do that, Mother? How could I steal him away? She questioned, crying.
"It's not my fault the king is my mate. In the first place, I didn't want him, I never begged the moon goddess to pair me, and if it was left to me, I never wanted a mate," I yelled from the outside.
"Shut up. How dare you to talk back to your sister and me," my father yelled as I could see him trying to open the door with his keys.
It didn't shake me, though, as he didn't have the key to my room; when we moved here, I was given the smallest room and the one with the faulty lock, I had to change my lock myself, and he never cared or did anything when I complained.
"You so lucky I can't open the door, Allison; I would have reconstructed your face for you," he yelled from the outside.
"What do I do, Mother," Aurora asked, returning our parents' attention to her. "By law, only her son or child can sit on the throne," she mentioned.
"I'm sure you will figure out a way, Aurora, but first, you must go and sleep. You do not want the king seeing your bluff face, right," Mother asked as, one by one, they left the front of my door.
Calming me down a little and returning the tiredness I felt. I decided to shower again to help me think straight and sat at my room window.
I know somewhere within me that my mate won't accept me. He loved my sister too much to do so, but what I didn't realize was my fate.
In his heart, he has rejected me, but he can't publicly leave me, which could only make matters worse.
This was the king who never noticed me because of my sister. He has come here often when I am around, and I have dropped my sister at his palace, but he doesn't know me.
Today was the first time he looked me in the eye, and his look was not in a positive light at all…
But should I expect something different for once? I can trust that he would be able to treat me gently.
Can I expect love from him? Can I expect him to want to get to know him? All this, I couldn't answer as I slowly closed my eyes, sleeping off.
The following day, I woke up to find my door broken down. My father's eyes glared at me as he paid the people who broke the door.
"Get your things. The king is summoning you," he says. "But why?" I asked as I didn't see any other reason why the king would call me. I wasn't expecting this to happen this quickly.
Not long after Aurora came walking in, she was happy, having a big smile on her face. It was unusual for someone who hated me yesterday, and she was all happy with me.
"Daddy, what should I turn this room to after she is gone," Aurora asked, ignoring my presence.
"Whatever you want, honey," our father answered. Ignoring me, now this wasn't new to me, but it was strange; it was almost as if he was aware of a plot, one that I wasn't part of.
"No, wait, you can't change my room," I said, blocking her path. "Another spa room would be nice; my beauty needs to be taken seriously," Aurora said, ignoring me.
"Aurora, are you alright?" I asked, seeing how she was acting. She mimicked me and went ahead to laugh. "What's with your behavior? I asked a question you should answer me," I scolded as she looked at me and frowned, saying something under her breath.
"I'm alright," she replied. "Now go get ready. You are driving me to the palace," she demanded before leaving my room.
"Didn't you hear her? Get dressed; both of you are going to the palace," Father yelled before leaving.
I ignore their words, going to have my bath and preparing for work. I took my bag and headed out when Aurora came in.
"Where are your things?" She asked. "Aurora, don't start now. I have work to go to," I said.
"Yes, the business has been passed down to me," she announced. "Since when?" I asked.
"Since yesterday night," she replied. She brushes past me, taking my luggage and packing my dress in.
"You are lucky I'm letting you take your old stuff with you," she muttered as she packed.
She brought another bag and placed my shoes on. "What do you like? Pack them now," she stated, and I went ahead to pack my other stuff.
"Good," she mumbled as she summoned two servants to help take my things to the car.
"Now, to the king's palace," she ordered as she headed to the car. "Aurora, what's going on? At least tell me already," I pleaded.
"You should have eaten breakfast with us, but then again, can I consider you as family," she muttered, ignoring my words.
"I'm not going anywhere till you answer me, Aurora," I threatened. "But you don't have a choice. You do not want to see the cruel nature of the king," she threatened back.
"So the king is summoning me?" I asked. "What are you, nine? You really can't be that dumb right?" She mocked, entering the car.
"So you agree to let go of the king," I asked as she laughed. "Just drive," she instructed as I started the engine.
"Gosh, my eyes got swollen a bit," she complained, looking at the car's mirror.
"You did this to me, Allison; we are lucky we can work things out," she mumbled, doing light skin care.
"You will thank me later because I allowed you to carry your stuff. I don't even know why I was nice to you," she grumbled as I drove.
"I will take good care of your room, sis, and don't worry, I will run the business well," she continued.
"You know nothing about running a business," I tell her.
"It can't be that hard, buy and sell," she snapped. "And don't talk to me anymore; you lost the right to address me as your little sis the moment you left the house," she continued.
"Aurora," I called out as she slapped me. "You don't address me by my name anymore," she yelled.
"Now increase the speed. The King is waiting," she ordered.
As soon as we arrive, she exits the car, hugging Xavier. They kissed passionately, which implies that they were still seeing each other.
If this was happening, why was I here? "So honey, how was your night," he asked, as they heard towards the car.
"It was good after you told the other alternative," she mumbled.
"Does she never come out of the car, or is she glued to it?" he sneered, looking at me. "Come, our dumb ass," Aurora snapped.
"You know, baby, I was passionate about letting her bring her stuff here, and she didn't say thank you, am I not nice enough," she questioned.
"She is just ungrateful that we are letting her live," he muttered, going ahead to open the car door and drag me out.
"She can't even greet her King," he mentioned, his eyes eyeing me. "Sorry, but I'm lost," I said.
"Then find yourself," he says. "That would be my fault here, babe. I didn't tell her why she is here," Aurora stepped in.
"If I had told her, she wouldn't have come here in the first place," she muttered.
"I told you, babe, that you are blameless, and thus anything that happens is not your fault. It's her fault for being dumb," he says as she laughs while kissing him.
"I love you, babe," she muttered. "I love you more," he says. "No, I love you most," she argues. "I love you more than yours," he argued, continuing until I groaned.
"Babe, bringing her things inside, it seems I need to educate her a bit," he muttered. His hand grabbed me as he sped into the palace, with me in the process.
The next thing I knew, I was thrown so hard into a room, hard that I hit my back on the wall, causing me to groan.
"Look here, you are here for only one purpose, to give an heir, after which I kill you," he announced.
"Now, while you do that, you are not to interrupt me when I am with my queen ( by this, he was referring to Aurora), you are not to speak to anyone, and you are not to leave this room," he listed
"You are to serve your sister, not as a sister but as a slave," he added. "You are joking, right," I asked, amazed by what I was hearing.
But rather than answering, he locked the room door and began undressing. "What are you doing?" I asked him, stepping back a little, but he only grinned with evil in his eyes.
He forcefully took off my clothes and forced himself on me, over and over, until my body couldn't move.
"Whenever you disobey me or offend Aurora, this would be your punishment," he says as he dresses up.
"Now, do you still think I'm joking?" He asked, his hands on my throat choking me…
"Cry, you will be giving me a lot of that. This is your punishment for coming as my mate, and you will regret being born," he muttered.
"You will beg for death, but don't worry, I will only give you that after you give me an heir," he added.
"Honey, are you alright," Aurora asked from outside. "I heard screaming and shouting. What's wrong?" She asked as she walked in.
"Oh, you punished her. It's her first," she mocks as she places my bag inside.
"Did it just the beginning, Allison? As long as I can't marry my man yet, you will suffer," she states.
"But next time, make sure she doesn't glare at me," she requested. "I can make that happen," Xavier said.
"No, I want some alone time with you. She should not deprive me of that," she mumbled as he nodded to her words.
They both left in each other embrace, as the door was shut and then the key was locked from outside.
"She hasn't seen the worst I have planned for her," Aurora says from outside. "Then you can tell me on our way; maybe I could use your idea," Xavier replied as I heard retreating footsteps.
Looking at the state of my life, I couldn't imagine how badly Aurora wanted to make it.
