Chapter 9 Breaking Barriers: Embracing Purpose
CHAPTER 9
ALLISON'S POV
I was preparing for my night of pains as usual, going to sleep sober and crying without cause.
"Alpha Xavier ordered me to have a check on you and give the report to him first thing in the morning" I was surprised when the Nurse walked in with her box in hand, she looked like someone who's been rattled on.
"I don't lie to royalty" She added as The Guard allowed her into my cell.
"Wow I guess you have principles" I stuttered, knowing that it's principles to someone to say that he or she doesn't lie to a certain type of people.
"How do we live without principles?" The Nurse chortled, as she pulled out a seat from the table and sat few footsteps away from my bed.
"I don't live with principles" I retorted, knowing that I had a life full of principles until Aurora and that monster king made it a living hell hole.
"Hmm, why then are you here?" She inquired in a mild tone.
"Principles begat purpose and that's why you're here... You see Alpha Xavier knows you have a purpose of being locked up in here"
"To give him a son" I scoffed hating the fact that I even said the words, I hissed in disgust afterwards.
"Yes and his principles are built on class, charisma, beauty and attention which is why he chose your sister over you" The Nurse divulged, I listened to her words.
"I wasn't into him in the first place" I retorted, sometimes wondering what was the reason behind me being fated to a ruthless king who sleeps with my sister.
"Fate brought you two together and you should learn to accept him, he's going to be the father to all your unborn children" The Nurse advised wearing a slight smile on her face.
"I doubt that" I retorted, cursing the fate that ever joined me and a psychopath.
"One thing you should know is fate don't lie... Can we go to the purpose of why I'm here"The Nurse was a bit worried, I guess she hated to be asked what took her so long to run a checkup on me.
"I do like talking to you, it feels relieving. The Guard talks to me but more like he doesn't say his words fully" I stuttered,
"Yeah he's afraid of losing his life" The Nurse giggled as she knew he wasn't there.
"Everyone's afraid of death" She added,
"That's why it's the most disgusting factor of life,.but I want it so bad that it keeps getting away from me" I sighed, feeling like death is the only way I could get myself away from this hurt and torture.
"Yeah that's because death isn't a killer,.he knows the right time to set in and sometime it's so sudden that it leaves us a scar in our lives" I knew these words were heartfelt so I asked her,
"I guess you're speaking out of experience?"
"Yeah, I'm done with this... She had tears in her eyes, "You're fine just slight headaches and fatigue" she divulged as she pulled out a papers and prepared her report which she was going to submit to Alpha Xavier
"Yeah can you mention good food and good clothes as part of the requirements" I thought of this, knowing that this would serve as a reminder to Alpha Xavier about my demands.
"Why would I do that?,"
"Because it's a necessity. I need that to take care of my purpose," I uttered with a loud Voice.
"Fine I'll come up with something," She uttered as she picked up the paper and her box, she walked out of the cell.
"Thank you"
"Have a good night rest Luna" She uttered as she walked out of the dungeons,
Did she just call me Luna? Maybe I'm just hallucinating.... Of course she did call me Luna.
I didn't realize that she was stoped by Alpha Xavier, wondering what he wanted this time.
"I really thought you'd be done with this by now" Alpha Xavier yawned, I guess he was going to fuck me again before he goes to bed.
"Yes... Yes I'm done, it's just slight headaches and fatigue. She had those because she needs clothes and the fatigue due to the poison served to her as food" I wore a smile on my face, listening to the Nurse's words.
"You must be lucky I'm in a frenzy mood, I would have knocked you out with my hands for calling the food I eat poison" I was shocked at Alpha Xavier's words, realizing that Aurora was the one that made my meals she was the one trying to poison me with sick foods.
"Sorry to say this, Alpha, the food brought to the dungeons are organized by Your Luna and sincerely the food is garbage"
"Leave my sight you piece of shit" Alpha Xavier growled as he tore the papers into shreds and stormed out of the dungeons.
"Since you walked in here the meals have changed, I had no option than to adapt to it that's why you saw me eating your meal" The Guard uttered as he locked the my door and the door in front.
"Well that's definitely going to change for the better" I assured him, it felt like he was an uncle to me.
"Aurora, Aurora" Alpha Xavier screamed, I guess everyone must have heard his voice including Aurora.
I guess family doesn't always Stick together cause sometime they have to make the right choices by leaving others behind in order to release the weight and pressure.
I'm sick and tired or trying to put a smile over my parent's face, if they can't appreciate me I'm better off without them. It's hight time I realize the principles of my life, see my purpose and actually do something meaningful with my life.
"Definitely that would be when you're out of this dungeons because this is the only barrier in your life and once you break this you can do whatever you want" My wolf startled my thoughts.
"We would break through this and when we do we would do whatever we want."
