The Debt
POV KENNETH IMMANUEL
I lifted the girl's petite body into my car. Maybe she was so tired that she didn't wake up even when I was lifting her body like this.
Niko, one of my bodyguards who also doubles as a driver asked, “Where are we going, sir?"
"My apartment," I answered.
Niko and Oscar looked at each other. My two bodyguards must have been surprised to hear that I was bringing a girl into the apartment, because so far I have never let a single girl enter my private area.
"Fast!" I ordered. Somehow this woman's body which is getting colder and paler makes me worried. I'm afraid she's not just sleeping, but passed out.
Niko drove the car. About twenty minutes later, we arrived at my apartment. I laid the girl's body on the bed. I also turn on the heating because earlier the girl had said she was cold.
Oscar asked "What are you going to do with that girl?". Niko immediately patted Oscar on the shoulder as if to say that Oscar had no right to say that to his master.
"I don't know," I answered. "Anyway, why did you let this girl into my room?"
Niko and Oscar looked at each other again. "Isn't she the woman that your ordered, Sir?" Nico asked with a doubtful tone.
"No. I only ordered one lady tonight," I replied.
"Oh, excuse us sir, we thought-"
I waved my hand. "Never mind, it's okay. Maybe it's my fault that I didn't tell you clearly," I said.
"Oh yeah, please prepare some food. This girl will be hungry when she wakes up."
Oscar immediately rushed to get fresh meat from the cupboard.
"Hey, what are you carrying? How could that girl eat raw meat like that!" I snapped. Even though Oscar's body is bigger than Niko's, when it comes to brain capacity, Oscar is very poor.
"Oh, sorry sir! I thought she was our countryman. Besides, there's no other menu in the fridge," Oscar said, sounding innocent.
"You look for it outside. Remember, the food that is commonly eaten by humans!" I insisted.
Oscar and Niko rushed outside to carry out my orders. Meanwhile I went back to see the girl who was still lying on the bed. I looked back at her face, she is so beautiful and innocent, like there was no sin on that face. Maybe she was a nice girl who was walking into a bar for the first time. She must be in trouble.
Seeing that the girl didn't wake up, I became even more worried. Moreover, she slept in a still position, not moving at all. So I put my forefinger up to her nostrils, to make sure she was still breathing. There was still a breath, but very faint. Silly ideas started popping up in my head. I pinched the girl's tiny nose so that both nostrils closed. She immediately stuttered, her mouth gaping for oxygen. Thank goodness the girl didn't die! I rushed my hand from her tiny nose.
"Oh, what are you doing! What are you doing? Are you trying to kill me?" the girl scorned while trying to sit up and glared at me. Oh, how strange! Earlier, she was begging for my hug, why now she's cursing like this?
"I thought you were dead. You haven't moved at all since an hours ago," I replied.
The girl seemed silent. She got off the bed.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
“I want to go home," she replied.
"It's already 02.00 AM. Just go home tomorrow, let my driver take you."
"Huh? Do you think I'd like to stay here with you? I won't!" she added. She looked around to find the exit, but looked back at me when he realized one thing. "Oh, this isn't the bar. What is this place? Where am I now?" she asked.
"You were in my apartment. I brought you here-"
"Bastard!"
Plaaak!
The girl's palm slapped my cheek. How insolent! I want to take out my fangs and claws to rip that body apart. Luckily I still held back. She came out of the apartment just as Niko and Oscar were about to enter.
"Miss! Miss where are you going?" Oscar seemed to try to prevent it.
"Don't chase! Turns out I wasted my time bringing the girl here," I snorted.
"Then how about this food, sir?" Nico asked.
"Just throw it away or just give it to the security below."
"Just for me! Human food is delicious too, though it doesn't fill your stomach." Oscar grabbed the food in Niko's hand.
I turned around, leaving the two bodyguards who were still fighting over the food. Back to my room. I touched my cheek, the girl's slap was still there. Unlucky! How dare she slap me! If I had known I was like this, I definitely would not have given my hug to her earlier.
You ungrateful girl!
POV SHEINA CHARLOTTE
Luckily I still have dollars left in my wallet for fare, so I can still go home by using a taxi. My body is already warmer, but if I linger in contact with the night wind, maybe I will shiver again.
I got home at 03.00 AM. Helena, my sister wasn't sleeping. She still sat contemplating, staring at the photo of our father. Two empty wine bottles lay on the table.
Helena glared at me. "Why are you come back here? I thought you'd been to hell to following dad," she sneered sharply.
"My father is not in hell. My father is in heaven," I replied. The debate this afternoon at the cemetery still makes an impression on my chest and memory. Continuing the debate with my sister, will make my heart hurt. I went into the room.
"You must pay for father's death! You must die too!"
I heard Hellena screaming in the room. I cover my ears tightly. If I did what Hellena said, I might as well want to kill myself. But one thing I think about, throughout his life, my father always tried so that I could live long. If I choose to die, then that means I'm betraying my father's cause. No. I don't want to disappoint my dad.
My mind was diverted to the man I met earlier. Her gaze was cold but her body was so warm. His hug managed to heal my pain that was recurring. Maybe if I were next to him, I could move more freely.
Oh, what was I thinking of this? No! I don't want to be near him. I still remember what he did with a woman in the VIP bar. He must be a badboy. Maybe even, he also intends to do the same thing to me when he brought me to his apartment earlier. Couldn't he have done it already?
My eyes widen. I rushed to check my own clothes. My clothes are still intact, socks and gloves are still on, nothing seems odd yet. Sigh! I breathed a sigh of relief. I immediately lay down on my bed. Today feels so heavy.
