Back To The Man
POV SHEINA CHARLOTTE
Early in the morning I was woken up by the sound of knocking on the door and loud shouting.
"Open the door! Open the door! "
"Yes, just a moment!" I came out of the room while curling my hair. At the same time, Helena also came out of her room. We looked at each other for a few seconds before finally Hellena opened the door for the guest.
I saw a man as my father's age with a strong body standing at the door of our house. "Is this really the residence of Mr. Roberth?" he asked.
"Yes, sir," Helena answered.
"Are you his children?" He looked at me and Hellena in turn, we nodded slowly even though we were still asking ourselves what the man's purpose was for coming here.
As if hearing what was going on in our heads, the man said, "We're here to tell you that your father, Mr. Robert, owes fifteen thousand dollars. Here are the proof of the notes." He gave a document to Helena. I approached Hellena to participate in reading the contents of the document. Sure enough, my dad owed that guy fifteen thousand dollars from last year.
"Because Mr. Robert has died, you are the ones who have to pay these debts. I understand you are grieving, I will not ask for it today. I will give you three months. If you are unable to pay until maturity, this case has to be I'll take it to court." After saying that, that man immediately left our residence.
I looked at Helena with a look of despair. "Fifteen thousand dollars, sis. How are we going to get that kind of money in three months," I sighed.
"Do you know why father can borrow this much from that person?"
I shook my head.
"Look at this date!" Hellena showed me the date on the document. "This date is the date you are currently in intensive care at the hospital. That means dad owes this much because of you!"
I was shocked to hear my sister's statement. Oh, God! Hellena is not wrong. What Helena said must be true.
"You've made me lose my mother! You've made me lose my father! You also have to make me bear this much debt! Why did you have to be born into this world? Arrggghhhh…!" Hellena went berserk by sweeping the used wine bottles on the table.
Prang... Prang..
Like those bottles that break when they hit the tiles, that's how I feel. I sank on the couch, while Hellena left the house, I don't know where she went. Hellena was right, it was all my fault. Mother died when giving birth to me. My father died when trying to buy medicine for me. And now, we both have to bear this much debt, also because of me. I rubbed my forehead. Oh, God! Why did you destined me to be born into this world if it's only going to be a burden to everyone?
No. I can't complain and despair like this. I have to find a job. I am more responsible for that debt than Hellena. But, how can I have a job? First, I never had formal education. Second, I suffer from Cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes, a cold-air allergic disease that makes it impossible for me to move freely outside the house. Instead of looking for a way to repay the debt, I will definitely only add to the debt.
While my thoughts were in a jumble, I remembered the man I met last night at the bar. He lives in a fancy apartment, he has a bodyguard, he can definitely get me a job. One more important thing, he has a warm body, I can work next to him without having to fear my disease recurrence.
But, that man is a pervert! He sucks! Ah! I don't need to think about it first, what is clear now is that I have to try asking him for a job. Hope he is willing to help me.
I came back to the magnificent apartment wearing a long suit, complete with jacket, socks and gloves. I pressed the bell which was opened by one of the bodyguards I saw last night.
"I-I want to meet your Master," I stammered a little because I was nervous.
"Please come in!" He opened the door for me.
I was invited to sit on a sofa that was so soft, while the bodyguard seemed to have entered another room, perhaps to meet his Master.
POV KENNETH IMMANUEL
I stared at the monitor screen, watching the development of my shares in several big companies. Most of them experienced an increase, only a few dropped. Suddenly I found an advertisement about a new company engaged in technology that is growing rapidly. Maybe it would be a good opportunity too if I put shares in that company. But my eyes widened when I read a line of names; George Geraldo, CEO of GG Company. My jaw tightens. How dare he still survive on this earth!
Case! Case!
I turned when I heard a knock on the door. Nico gasped as he saw the fangs and the bushy hair that grew from my arms to the tips of my fingernails. Yes, when I'm emotional, I will shapeshift into my original form, a wolf.
"Sir, there is a girl who came back here last night. She wants to meet you," said Niko.
The girl last night? Why did he come here again?
"Tell him to wait a minute!" My order to Niko.
"Yes sir."
Niko left me in the room, that's when I tried to suppress my own emotions so I could return to human form. A few minutes later, I met the girl who was waiting for me in the living room.
"What did you come here for?" I asked in a cold tone.
She looked surprised when she saw me coming, even more so when she heard my voice. "I-I need a job. D-do you have a job for me? Please give me a job," she said.
The girl's request made me frown in cash. "How dare you ask me for a job after slapping me last night?"
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I know you're a good person. You would forgive me, you would definitely give me a job."
I laughed sarcastically at her words. Did she think I would melt to hear such compliments from her? Oh, it's not that easy to take my heart.
"I can do anything, sir. I can clean the house, I can cook, I can also drive."
"I already have two reliable bodyguards to do it all. I don't need you," I said.
Unexpectedly, the girl actually knelt at my feet. "Please Help me sir! Please Give me a job! I'm in need of money! My father just passed away and he left a huge debt. I don't know how to pay it. I can't find another job sir. You are my only hope right now ,”
I'm not at all sorry to hear that. But her statement was enough to answer my curiosity as to why she could come to the bar last night, even got drunk and entered the wrong room.
I wanted to shoo him away, but when my eyeballs met those clear ones, I immediately changed my mind.
