Sheina Heard The Wolf Roar
POV SHEINA CHARLOTTE
"I'm ready to work, sir!" I speak true to my promise. But the atmosphere in the house was chaotic. The situation there was not the same as before. Several people looked panicked, especially the two guards who were the most alert in the house. I was surprised to see the big boss who usually stood proudly, being supported by Niko and Oscar. There was blood splattered on the floor letting me know the big boss was injured
"Sir, are you all right?" I know that question is so ridiculous. But those words just came out of my mouth when I was worried. Niko and Oscar didn't let me to touch him. The bodyguard with a cold glare led the man into the room.
"I'll bring some water to clean the wound."
"No need!" Oscar stopped me.
“But, the blood on his body must be cleaned. What if I call the doctor? Does this house have a family doctor?” I said stupidly.
“Mr Kenneth doesn't need a doctor. You must not approach this area and stop asking questions or I will kill you.” Oscar's voice sounded very sharp. I frowned. But I couldn't refute the bodyguard's words. I'm sure he's more than threatening.
When I wanted to step away, I heard the moaning of wild animals. Soon the wolf's howling was very loud in the house. I was very surprised. I want to check on the new boss. But Oscar closed the door quickly before I managed to take a peek at what was happening inside the room.
"What happened?" I whispered softly, I couldn't hide the confused expression inside of me. "Could it be that they're turning the television on really loud?" I whispered softly a little chuckle. How could they prefer watching television to treating their injured boss?
I sat in the television room waiting for the new thing he would order for me. I have no other activities at the moment. Several times I tried to approach the room but the escort there always made me unable to do much in the end.
In the end, all I could do was scan the entire room studying the house plans and a few paintings. There isn't much of interest other than a few animal skulls on aesthetic display. I tried to open the refrigerator. I found a lot of meat in it. The big boss must really like meat.
My steps then stopped at a painting on the stairs. The painting is very large and wide. Painting of a wolf with a touch of silver fur. The wolf in the painting is huge. As if made to the original size. It was seen tilting its head back, puffing out it chest quite high, very confident.
I immediately walked away from the painting. Even in the form of a picture, the wolf looks very scary. The owner of this apartment, must be someone with a strong interest in wolves. Rich people always have many ways to show their identity. In other countries, I heard that rich people raise tigers instead of cats to show their status in society.
"What are you doing?" Niko, another bodyguard asked me.
"I'm looking into this apartment. I mean, I have nothing to do. I'm not used to sitting around doing nothing." I tried to explain as best I could so as not to get tantrums from anyone in the house. I looked at the guard doubtfully. "Would you like me to cook for dinner sir? Maybe I can help with that."
"No need! I'll take care of Mr. Kenneth." The man looked at me with a strange look. "Is boss Kenneth okay? I'm asking out of concern."
"Yes, he's fine. His wounds will heal soon. He's not that weak, he can't die that easily."
"I'm relieved to hear that." I gave my smile but the guard just stared at me with a flat expression. I stopped my smile immediately. Everyone in the house was very stiff and closed.
POV KENNETH IMMANUEL
I regained my stamina after changing my form. It's not easy to kill me, as long as the silver bullet doesn't hit my heart. I have a good body defense system. Besides, I'm an Alpha. I am blessed with strength that surpasses that of an ordinary wolf.
"Alpha, how about you start looking for Luna? I think you need someone to help with your leadership. In addition, you should also have baby Alpha to maintain the group." Oscar asked me
I chuckled and glared at Oscar. "You know what happened to me, Oscar. You shouldn't be discussing Luna with me."
"But that matter is quite important at the moment, sir. No need for your mate. You can look for the lonewolf the mate left behind." Oscar tried to explain as best he could hope I could understand.
"No. I don't want to have a companion. She will give me trouble." I turned down another Oscar offer.
Oscar then left me. I returned to continue my leisure time while thinking about that damn bastard. one of us has to leave the area. One thing for sure it's not me. I have inhabited this place longer long before those bloodsucking creatures who often move from place to place to lose track of their bastards.
"Sir!" Sheina came closer to me. "Are you cured?" Sheena looked down timidly.
"Yes, I'm better now." I almost forgot that the woman was in my house.
Sheina looked back at me. “I want to ask what should I do? I am here to repay my debt.”
"I haven't come up with any ideas yet." I waved my hand, telling her to get away from me.
"Sir, I'm tired of sitting around for a few hours." Sheina looked at me with pleading eyes. This woman really annoys me right now. "How about I cook you dinner?"
"Up to you." I waved my hand than I had to argue long with Sheina. “I'm having Oscar buy groceries. Maybe you need to wait a few more minutes.”
“But I saw a lot of meat in your fridge. I think I can cook it.”
My head perked up at Sheina's words. "When did you open my refrigerator?"
“When you are injured and I don't know what to do. I surveyed your entire apartment to get a sense of this place.” Sheina was almost a mumble but I could hear her voice clearly.
"God damn it!" I immediately snapped at her uncontrollably. “How dare you be so impudent in my apartment!”
"Sir, I didn't mean it like that. I just …"
"Shut up!" I didn't let Sheina finish her sentence. I approached Sheina gripping the cheeks very hard. “This is my final warning. Don't you ever repeat this kind of attitude again or I'll tear your body apart!”
Sheina nodded her head quickly. Her eyes shook with fear but I felt no pity for her. She must know her limits. "Now get out of my sight!" Sheina didn't wait for orders twice. She quickly quickened her pace away from me.
