Victoria's Confrontation: Husband's Betrayal

Victoria returned home, the luxurious penthouse living room exuding an air of sadness and desolation. She needed to gather strength to confront Damien and confront him about his betrayals and the loss of the couple's money. Sitting on the couch, she reached for a bottle of gin and started drinking, seeking some courage.

The sound of the door opening indicated that Damien had arrived. He found Victoria with the nearly empty bottle, taking the last sip before getting up to face him. Her eyes were red with anger and disappointment.

"I found out everything, Damien. Everything about the money, the investments you lost. You managed to lose about three billion dollars in five years."

Damien tried to explain, but Victoria was not willing to listen to his excuses.

"Victoria, I know I lost money, but this last investment will..."

Victoria interrupted him, enraged.

"I don't want to hear your empty promises anymore, Damien. I will never trust you again. And it's not just about the lost money, it's about the mistress you were supporting in Calabasas!"

Damien tried to approach, but Victoria moved away from him, determined to move forward.

"I will file for divorce, and I will recover every cent you took from me. I want you out of this penthouse before the end of the weekend, Damien."

He tried to hold her, desperate to fix things.

"Victoria, please, give me a chance to explain. I promise that..."

Victoria interrupted him once again, her voice filled with disgust.

"There are no more explanations, Damien. I'm going to the house in the Hamptons, and I hope you leave here before the end of the weekend. Go live in that cubicle in Calabasas with your señora."

Desperate, Damien mentioned their upcoming wedding anniversary.

"And our wedding anniversary tomorrow? We invited our friends. We booked Per Se..."

Victoria cut off his words, her determination was unwavering. She looked at him, her gaze full of disdain.

"I wouldn't celebrate the fifth anniversary of our wedding with you if I were dead. This marriage is over."

In a heavy silence, Victoria walked toward the door, ready to put an end to a marriage that had become a pit of disappointment and betrayal. Damien watched helplessly as she left the room, leaving him behind with his choices and their consequences.

Victoria's staff quickly began loading her luggage into the car as she watched the commotion around her. Damien observed everything from above, from the height of his penthouse. Victoria and Damien's gazes briefly met before she looked away. With the help of the driver, Victoria got into the vehicle, and the driver closed the door.

"We're ready to depart, Mrs. Ashford. The staff has been informed about your sudden departure, and they should be arriving at the mansion soon."

"Thank you, but ask them to come tomorrow only. Today, I wish to be alone. And from now on, call me Sinclair."

As the car headed towards the Hamptons, Victoria looked back, trying to catch a glimpse of the window of her penthouse one last time. She knew she was leaving behind a life that no longer belonged to her. At the same time, as the vehicle traversed the streets, she observed the scenery, contemplating the changes that life had brought her.

Upon arriving at the mansion in the evening, Victoria entered and went straight to the living room. She took a bottle of wine, opened the cabinet, and among the stored items, she found the video of her wedding. With a mixture of curiosity and melancholy, she played the video on the TV screen. In the video, Damien appeared in love, making a declaration of love  to her:

"Victoria, my beloved, today is the most important day of our lives. It's the moment when we unite our hearts and seal our love in front of everyone around us. But I want you to know that this love I feel for you goes beyond words, beyond what I can express in a moment.

I promise to love, care for, and respect you in every moment of our journey. I will be by your side on sunny days and stormy nights. We will be partners, confidants, and best friends, facing together all the challenges that life presents us.

Today, here in front of everyone, I want you to know that you are my choice, my only true love. My life would be meaningless without you by my side. And every day, I will strive to deserve the love that you so generously offer me.

Victoria, I love you more than words can express. I am looking forward to building a life full of joy, love, and fulfillment with you. May this day be just the beginning of an extraordinary journey that we will embark on together until the end of our days.

You are the woman of my dreams, the person who completes my life. And I promise to make you the happiest woman in the world. My heart is yours, now and forever."

The words echoed through the room as tears streamed down Victoria's face. The contrast between those words and the present reality was overwhelming for Victoria.

Alone in the mansion, Victoria allowed herself to cry, letting her emotions flow freely. The pain of betrayal and disappointment consumed her, but in that momentary solitude, she found some solace. She knew she needed to compose herself, move on, and find a new direction for her life.

As the wedding video continued to play, Victoria allowed herself to feel the sadness.

Victoria climbed the stairs to the mansion's attic with the wine bottle in her hands. She walked among the dusty boxes, determined to find the one that held her precious dress from five years ago. Carefully, she began rummaging through the boxes one by one until she finally spotted the right one. Her eyes shimmered with emotion.

"I found it!" Victoria exclaimed with a smile.

She carefully took the box, holding it close to her chest, and hurriedly descended the stairs to her room. There, she placed the box on the bed and delicately removed the wedding dress from the inside. Unfolding the white, lacy fabric, a nostalgic feeling washed over her.

"So many memories... So many promises..." Victoria whispered.

She held the dress with trembling hands and looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes filled with longing as she saw her reflection. For a moment, she allowed herself to go back in time and remember that special day. Victoria then decided to put it on once again, seeking that feeling from five years ago. The dress fit like a glove, justifying the hours of workouts for the billionaire.

However, her moment of contemplation was abruptly interrupted when, in the mirror's reflection, Victoria noticed the presence of a hooded man standing at the door of her room. Her heart raced, and a chill ran down her spine as she saw the glimmering knife in his hands.

"Who... who are you?" Victoria asked, breathless.

The hooded man remained silent, motionless like a statue. His eyes gleamed with a menacing

intensity, yet strangely familiar. Victoria felt a mixture of fear and courage welling up inside her.

"What do you want? Get out of here!" Victoria ordered, her voice trembling.

The hooded man took a step forward, slowly moving toward Victoria. His unsettling silence echoed through the room, intensifying the tension in the air.

"I... I'll call the police! Get out right now!" Victoria warned, controlling her fear.

The hooded man rushed toward her, and Victoria's heart raced with fear and adrenaline as she tried to escape him in the room, knocking objects over in the hope of slowing him down. She ran downstairs, but the hooded man managed to catch up to her and violently pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground.

"Ahhh!" Victoria screamed in pain.

With her breath ragged, Victoria turned on the floor, feeling the throbbing pain in her body. Before she could react, the hooded man held her firmly, restraining her movements.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" Victoria asked, struggling against the man.

She used all her strength to break free, punching and kicking the unknown man. The fight escalated, with the two rolling on the floor and exchanging frenzied blows.

"Let me go!" Victoria shouted.

In a moment of agility, Victoria pulled the hood covering the man's face, revealing a shocking identity.

"Damien?!" Victoria exclaimed, surprised.

Victoria's eyes met those of her husband, who now stood before her. She was momentarily perplexed, unable to believe what she was seeing.

"Why...?" Victoria asked.

Then she felt pressure in her abdomen. And then another... And another... until she allowed herself to look down and saw her once-white dress being invaded by vivid red.

She looked back at her husband. Damien's expression showed no remorse or even regret as he continued to stab her with the knife. She was torn between disbelief and the need to understand what had just happened.

"Why did you do this?" Victoria asked, confused.

Damien remained silent for a moment, looking at the woman he had sworn to love. And then he stabbed her again. Victoria tried to fight back, but every time she defended herself, it seemed he struck her even more. Damien continued relentlessly attacking his wife until she stopped moving.

Then footsteps from the entrance caught Damien's attention. He stood up and took a few steps, leaving Victoria writhing in pain on the floor.

"Is it done?" a woman with stiletto heels asked, at least that's what Victoria could identify with her blurred vision.

"It's done," Damien replied. "She's still breathing, but it won't last long."

The woman took a few steps and then knelt beside Victoria, who finally managed to put a face to the woman with the stiletto heels: it was Amelia, her best friend.

"Oh, Vick, why didn't you stick to the plan? Why didn't you continue being the naive blonde we all loved?" Amelia asked, her hand itching to touch her friend's hair but being restrained by Damien.

"No traces, Amelia. Come on, we need to get out of here," Damien warned.

"Alright. You're going to Calabasas, or...?" Amelia asked, touching Damien's chest.

"First, I need to pretend I wasn't here. Then I'll go there."

"Okay, finish the job. I'll see you there," Amelia said before kissing Damien in front of Victoria.

Victoria, keep your eyes open...

Victoria...

Victoria, keep your eyes open...

Victoria struggled to open her eyes, finding Ethan kneeling by her side, concerned and with a heavy heart. He gently held her hand and called out to her, asking her to keep

her eyes open. With a firm voice, he spoke on the phone with emergency services, explaining the situation and providing the exact address of the mansion.

While waiting for help to arrive, Ethan looked at Victoria with affection and determination. He spoke softly:

"Hey, Victoria, you need to stay with me. The ambulance is on its way; they'll take care of you. You're strong, you'll get through this. Just stay with me..."

And then everything went dark.
