Chapter 6
When Matthew came close to me I froze and started to shake. Ethan quickly grabbed my bag from me and gave it to Matthew before he could get any closer.
“S-S-Sorry Matthew. I don’t like men.” I whispered while playing with a string on my sweatshirt.
“Sorry kid but I hate to say there are a lot of guys at the house.” I looked wide-eyed at him and turned to Ethan. He looked mad.
“When I agreed to go with you guys, you all said that there would be little to no people in the house.” Ethan was fuming. I could tell the guys were uncomfortable and the tension was very thick.
“It’s okay Ethan.” He looked at me and his eyes softened.
“I’m sorry Ethan but he does have 5 sons and all of his bodyguards. But there are way fewer people than there usually are.” Cameron spoke up, coming out of his daze. I felt all the blood rush out of my face. I can’t do this.
“I-I-I need to sit down.” Before I could move Matthew and Ian were at my side holding me up.
“I’m sorry but we need to go, Miss. Mr.Black is waiting.” Ian said while starting to walk me out of the house. I started to shake and try to get out of their hold.
“Let go,” I said barely above a whisper. They were tightening their grip. I could feel the bruises start to form. Ethan came over and tugged me out of their arms.
“Sorry but we need to get going-” Ethan cut them off.
“We need to set some rules. Tell all of your guys too. One, no touching her, two, no unnecessary touching, and three, no unnecessary talking to her. Got it?” They just nodded and went to the front door. I turned and wrapped my hands around Ethan. He embraced me and rubbed my hair on my head. “It’s going to be okay Bri. Okay?” I just nodded and released him. He led me to the door and shut and locked it behind him. The guys already brought our bags to the car and were waiting. Ethan got in the middle of the back seat so I don’t have to sit next to one of the guys.
“Guys, it’s going to be a long ride so get comfy,” Ian said from the front seat. I sighed and leaned my head and Ethan’s shoulder. I closed my eyes and tried to calm my nerves down. He kissed my hair and leaned his head on top of mine. I slowly fell into unconsciousness.
I peeled my eyes open to see that the car had stopped. I looked around and saw that I was in the car all by myself. I sat up quickly and started to panic. I looked outside and saw that I was at a very big mansion. I quickly tried to get out of the car but the doors were locked, the child locks were on. I started to freak out. My breathing became very uneven and tears started to build up in my eyes. Before I could freak out even more I heard yelling then the door was ripped open.
“I’m sorry Love, I didn’t know they put the child locks on.” I looked at this strange man that was in front of me. He was very tall and covered in tattoos. He had brown hair and piercing blue eyes that looked like the ocean. He was wearing a black t-shirt that looked a little too tight because his muscles were so big. He had a kind look on his face and his eyes were soft. It almost looked like he was speaking to a child. I brought my hand up and wiped my tears. I nodded slowly and just looked at him. He smiled softly at me and offered me a hand. I slowly took it and he helped me get out of the car. When I was out I immediately looked for Ethan. I turned around and started to worry. The man must have noticed because he spoke up. “Ethan is inside setting your stuff up.”
“T-T-Thank you.” I stuttered and became very uncomfortable. Suddenly the man started to speak again.
“My name is Mr. Black but you can call me James.” I nodded and slowly responded.
“H-H-Hello, I’m B-B-Bri.” He smiled again and then pulled an arm around me.
“I’m glad to meet you again.” I scrunched up my face in confusion and was about to ask him what he meant but he cut me off. Matt, vieni qui!” I don’t know what language that was but Matt understood and came running over.
“What’s up boss?” James mumbled something and they both looked at me.
“Assicurati che nessuno le dica.” Matt knew what he was talking about and just nodded. Matt smiled at me and went to go talk with some other people. James then turned to me again. He raised his hand and I immediately covered my head. When I didn’t feel anything for a minute, I peeked out and saw he had a mad look on his face. I gave him a weird look and his face softened again. He then raised his arm again and put it on my back.
“Come, I’ll bring you to Ethan.” I gave him a small little smile and followed him into the house. Not like I had a choice because his hand was on the small of my back the entire time. Once we were inside, two men closed the door and stood there like statues. I felt my mouth get dry and my hands started to tremble again. James took notice of this right away and tried to help me.
“I will skip the tour and get you to Ethan, okay?” I just nodded and waited for him to move again. He led me up a bunch of stairs and down a bunch of hallways. My head hurt from trying to remember what way we came from and how to get back downstairs. Finally, he stopped in front of a huge wooden door. Who am I kidding? Everything was huge in this house compared to me. He knocked on the door but didn’t wait for an answer.
“What the he-” Ethan cut himself off. “Oh, hi James, what’s up?” I’m guessing Ethan hasn't seen me yet. James stepped to the side and revealed that I was standing there. Once I saw Ethan I sped walked up to him and hugged him.
“Why didn’t you wait for me?” I whispered to him while still hugging him.
“They told me to go to my, uh, I mean this room and wait. I can’t disobey what he says, you know that.” I nodded my head, understanding what he was saying, and pulled away. I felt like someone was staring at us. I slowly turned around and saw that James hadn't left yet. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I wanted to ask him so bad why we were here but I didn’t have the guts to do it. He just stood there though, almost as if he knew that I wanted to say something but I didn’t. Finally, I got enough courage to speak up and ask him.
