Chapter EIGHT

She cried for a long time before she slept off.

When she woke up later in the afternoon, she suddenly had the urge to go outside and walk around, maybe get to see the town a little to familiarize herself before school begins tomorrow. She grabbed her purse and stuffed cash in her back pocket, the positive side was that her parents were loaded from all the adventures they had, so all the money went to her. She unplugged her phone from the socket before shoving it in her jacket. She grabbed her keys and gave her aunt a quick goodbye, she hoped she would hear it wherever she was, she has been holed up in her room since her episode on the doorstep.

She stepped through the door and she felt the fresh gush of wind across her face and a smile cam on her face. This was her chance at a fresh chance, to live her life the way she wanted and however she wanted. She walked through the lonely path before heading up to the town itself. She turned on her map to direct her where ever she wanted to go. Whoever said California was not beautiful was straight up lying. It was busy with people who went about their business. On the map was a little coffee shop suggested for her but she wanted to see the bakery close to the high school but her mind kept telling her to go to the coffee shop. She didn’t know whatever or whoever was guiding her but it sure wanted to drink coffee. She flagged a taxi to the coffee shop, it took her fifteen minutes to get there because of the traffic. It seems everyone was going to the coffee shop the same time she was.

It took her time before the taxi dropped her in front of the coffee shop, it looked pretty full but she really wanted that coffee now. She opened the door and the air seemed to slow down. All eyes were on her but one in particular warmed her every being. It followed her to the counter where she told the barista what she wanted, she turned and her eyes locked with the most beautiful guy she has ever seen. She felt a force of attraction stronger than any emotion she has felt before consume her and she couldn’t stop staring at him. He has the most piercing hazel eyes he has ever come across and it seared right into her soul and touched everything inside her. The voice in her head kept telling her to go to him and she almost took a step forward but caught herself in time for the guy in question to snap at his friend for whistling at her. She found it sweet that he didn’t want guys leering at her and she suddenly wanted to know more about this guy. He looked so sexy and she wanted him to take her there and then.

She kept staring and only stopped when the barista rang her order, seeing as there was nowhere to sit, she left to drink her coffee elsewhere. She didn’t notice anybody else in there but that one guy. She sincerely hoped she gets to see more of him in school so she could get close to him. She imagined his lips would taste like sin and his hair was as soft to the touch as it looked on his head. She could only wonder how it would feel to run her hands all over his body and press her body so close to his. He looked so big and strong, capable of killing a full grown man, she liked how dangerously sexy he looked. The voice in her head was filling her head with sinful images of how she could be shacked up with her new guy in different positions that she was sure she couldn’t pull off. If only it was that easy then she would march right up in there and kiss him.

She needed to get out of here before she gives in to her inner demands, she called for a taxi and decided to explore the new city she was going to live in. she was riding in the backseat when her phone rang and it was her aunt.

“Avilla, where are you?” her aunt sounded scared

“I went into town to look around, I told you I was going out”

“Sorry, I didn’t hear that. Please don’t wander too far and come back on time”

“Yes aunt”

She dropped the call and it dawned her that her aunt might think she has been kidnapped, she should have dropped a note. She considered that leaving the house without making sure her aunt knew about it was an asshole move. The poor woman was beside herself in fear. She really should apologize once she gets home.

She went to so many shops and a bakery, she got to see her new school, and it looked okay from the outside. I guess I would see it more clearly tomorrow. She found herself in a boutique picking out new clothes for the new school or maybe it was about the new guy in her life. She wanted to dress the part if she was going to attract the most handsome guy she has seen in her life and make him notice her enough to want her in his life.

She needed a wardrobe change and she told the shopping assistant just that, there were so many styles to choose from, like.

The queen bee collection

The trendy girl collection

The sophisticated cheerleader

Hmmm, I wanted a little bit of all of them, I could match them or switch it up a bit. I had to make my hair look good too, maybe bangs or change the color. No maybe dyeing my hair a different color was way too far for a change but she could straighten her hair to make it look shinier. She got all those things and headed back to her aunt’s house.
