CHAPTER Five: Wolf Kingdom Part Two

Kiara, at age nine

Kiara POV:

I felt someone shake my arm gently; slowly opening my eyes, I see auntie Meg smiling at me. I gave her a small smile back with my eyes still half-closed. I was really sleepy. Car rides always made me sleepy, and I could have sworn we had been in this metal box that Jacob adores so much for no apparent reason for at least half of the day.

"Let's go, princess. We're here." Auntie Meg said.

I grumbled! I wanted to sleep some more!

"Auntie Meg, five more minutes, please," I said, snuggling back into her lap.

I heard her chuckle from above me as she stroked my hair.

"Princess, don't you want to see the alpha king's castle. You couldn't stop talking about it the whole way before you fell asleep." Said Auntie Meg.

The moment she said castle, my eyes shot open, and I shot up. We were here! I could finally show her that the alpha king's castle wasn't more giant than Cinderella's or prettier than Elsa's. Fixing my hair to make sure my hair wasn't messy and looking down at my clothes weren't crumpled since I could be meeting a king and queen and I had to look my best, I jumped off her lap and the car, with a thud and turned to Auntie Meg.

"Auntie Meg! Why didn't you tell me earlier! Don't you know you are never supposed to keep the king and queen waiting? All the people in the Disney movies know this! What if they don't let us explore their castle because of this." I gasped, covering my mouth with my hand.

If that happened, how would I make sure I have a proof for everyone to know that Cinderella's castle was bigger and better than the alpha king and Luna queen's castle.

"Stop being a baby, kiki. They won't do that. Max said the king and queen are very nice." I heard JJ say, coming behind me while putting on his car's backpack around his back.

Humph!

"Your, the baby, not me! I'm a big girl." I said

JJ opened his mouth to say something when I heard multiple chuckles above us, making us both look up. My brothers and his surrounded us.

"Cut it out, you both. Come, we have to go; the king and queen are at the front waiting to receive all the guests." Said Phoenix as he shuffled my hair.

Ugh! My french twists! I had to meet the king and queen!

"Phoenix! My hair! Stop." I whined out.

To which I just got another chuckle, and he left with my other brothers and Jacob's brothers in tow. I huffed and turned to Auntie Meg.

"Auntie is my hair okay," I asked.

Auntie Meg crouched down to my level and patted down my hair.

"You look, beautiful princess. Now come, let's go!" Auntie Meg said, holding mine and Jacob's hand in either of her hands, following behind our parents and brothers.

As we walked from the huge ground where there were so many cars, Jacob's mouth was hung open and drooling, I chuckled. When he looked at me, I gestured towards the corner of his lip; he raised his hand and touched the place I pointed at where there was a blob of spit; he cleaned it off and blushed. I laughed out.

He huffed and pulled his tongue out at me, and I did the same. All the while, I knew auntie Meg was shaking her head at our silliness. My best friend was dumb, but I loved him a lot; maybe I would consider going on a tour to look at all the bikes and cars he was yapping about the way here but only if he promised to explore the castle with me and watch the new tangled movie with me. I grinned at the idea.

When we had finally left the maze of the cars, we walked over a moat-type bridge, and my eyes popped out. The castle in front of me was so big, so big that I fell on my bum when I kept tilting my head up to see where the towers ended. Not only was it tall but big in size as well; there were so many towers, windows so giant that Cinderella's castle's windows looked like ants, and on top of all of that, the castle was painted so bright, the entire castle had a whiteish beige colour, with grey and tint of blue roofs. Lawns surround the entire castle, with different colourful flowers, small streams, bush statues and even stone statues were everywhere. I wouldn't close my mouth in awe. Auntie Meg was right; this castle was way better than Cinderella's and Elsa's. The twinkle in my eyes cleared up when I heard JJ laugh.

"Look who has drool now. I bet your Cinderella and Elsa don't have castles like these." Said JJ.

He was right! They didn't!

"Child get up. Are you okay?" Asked Auntie Meg, helping me up. I didn't even realize I didn't get up after I fell checking out the castle.

I whipped my head at JJ, scowled at him, and ran after him as he ran ahead of me, making fun of me.

"JJ, come back here! Or I'm going to tell Max where your stash is." I yelled.

"I'll tell the alpha and Luna where yours is then." He yelled back, laughing as he kept on running as I chased him.

Haw! She wouldn't dare!

I could hear auntie Meg yelling as she ran after us, telling us to stop running, but we didn't stop. JJ had to promise me he wouldn't say a word about my stash, or I wouldn't talk to him and even throw paint on his new bike!

But, before I could catch up to JJ, he went and hid behind his parents, grinning at me. I stomped my feet in frustration, and suddenly, I was lifted off the ground.

"Everything okay, princess." I heard daddy ask.

I pouted, crossed my arms over my chest, and sent a scowl toward JJ. Seeing what I was doing, my dad and JJ's parents chuckled, probably catching that we were arguing again. I felt daddy kiss my cheek and let me down.

"Come, princess, let's go meet the king and queen." Daddy said.

The moment he said that, I forgot and looked at daddy with excitement! Goddess! I was going to meet an actual king and queen, albeit they weren't from Disney but still a king and queen. I nodded excitedly and grabbed his hand; mom and my brothers came and stood alongside daddy and me as well as we walked towards the front of the castle, where I could see guards everywhere. And when I looked straight, my eyes twinkled; I saw the king and queen. It was just like the movies; the king was dressed in a long red robe that fell to the ground with a big golden crown on his head while the Luna queen stood beside him in a lilac dress that fell a little above her ankles, her hair was made in a bun, and she had a diamond crown of her head.

Oh, goddess! She was pretty! I'm sure they would be as pretty as her if she had princesses, but she only had princes! So sad! Next to the king and queen stood another boy, he was young, but it seemed he was a little older than me and JJ. Without thinking, I went up to him.

"Hi! I'm Kiara, but my friends call me kiki; what's your name?" I asked.

I don't know, but I felt he and I would be good friends. He looked at my outstretched hand and then smiled and took it.

"Hi, Kiki. I'm Rex." He said.

I gasped and bowed.

"You're the prince," I said.

Uh-oh! I was supposed to bow first and then introduce myself; I messed up.
