BAB 3
Holding back the fear of being found out by Melisa, Jiah hastened her steps to find Livi.
"Livi…" she called softly.
'I should have accompanied her so she wouldn't disappear.'*
Jiah walked to a park, hearing someone singing Jiah immediately stopped her steps.
Focusing her gaze on a woman singing while being surrounded by thousands of fireflies.
Jiah wants to go to her.
"I thought who was singing, it turned out to be Velie's daughter from the Southern Kingdom," Jiah said quietly.
Jiah stopped her steps, backed away slowly, and hid behind a big pillar.
Velie immediately backed away in shock when she saw Prince Agri.
"Hello prince," she greeted.
He nodded. "Singing in the middle of the night like this, who are you teasing?"
Princess Velie's face turned red with both anger and embarrassment.
"I'm sorry Prince Agri."
Hearing Velie's words, Jiah knew that the dark red-haired prince was Prince Agri.
"Don't lower your eyes when you're talking."
'So this is the arrogant prince that everyone is gossiping about, no wonder his words are evil.'*
Jiah has to remember Agri's face so that she doesn't get into trouble with him as much as possible.
Velie looked confidently into Agri's eyes.
'Gosh, what is this? Do Prince Agri like Princess Velie?'
Jiah covered her mouth, calming her mind which was thinking strange thoughts.
Agri approached Velie which made Velie step back subconsciously.
"Are you afraid of me?"
Velie was silent for a moment. "No."
Agri smiled crookedly mocking Velie. "Are you sure?"
He was getting closer to Velie which made Velie stuck unable to retreat because right behind her was a large tree.
'Oh dear Prince Agri, that's not the way to approach a woman.'
Jiah smiled to herself when she saw the scene in front of her which was exactly like the novel she had read.
Agri continued walking to narrow the distance between them. Velie who felt Agri getting closer made her not dare to breathe.
'Gosh they're about to kiss'
Jiah closed her eyes, but a second later she peeked through her fingers.
Velie closed her eyes, after a few seconds she opened her eyes, and she saw Agri waving a butterfly necklace in front of his face.
"What are you thinking?"
Velie suddenly grabbed her neck and looked for her necklace and it turned out that the necklace was gone.
She immediately took it but Agri immediately lifted the necklace.
"Return!" she cried, holding back her embarrassment.
Agri turned and sat on the edge of the fountain. "Not that easy."
'Ah… too bad they didn't kiss.'
"What do you want?" Agri held the necklace and saw the small bead on the pendant.
"Who knows."
Shot…
An arrow almost pierced Prince Agri making Jiah's heart stop for a moment.
A man comes and takes the necklace from Agri's hand.
Give it to Velie. "Thanks seven."
"Yes miss."
Agri stood up. "I guess who? It turned out to be the dog of Princess Velie."
Jiah looked at the man who had just arrived. 'A man as handsome as that is said to be a dog, indeed Prince Agri does not have an eye.'
"Please watch your words, prince, he is not a dog!" she exclaimed.
"Don't scream at me, Princess!" Agri stared at her in annoyance making Velie silent.
"Sorry for my impudence prince," said Seven.
"It's a good thing you know where you are," he sneered.
Velie manages her anger, while Seven is still a cold man who doesn't understand emotions. "Princess Velie and I request the prince's permission to go first."
"Go."
Seven led Velie away.
After the two of them left Jiah waited for Agri to also leave from there, when she saw no one else he slowly got up and left, and Jiah turned around.
"Ah…"
Jiah fell in shock when Agri was already in front of her.
"Damn it, you should be talking, don't suddenly be in front of me!" Jiah stroked her chest which was still beating fast with fear.
"How dare a maid like you scold me!" Jiah's heart was beating even more, she saw Agri's face which made her pale white.
deg...
Jiah's eyes turned white as she had a vision of the future prince, she saw Prince Agri going to be the King in the future. After that, her eyes changed back to their original color.
"I beg your pardon, Prince," Jiah said.
Agri glanced at her.
"Please spare heh ..." mocked Agri.
'Die me, what if Prince Agri mutilates my body.'
"Go," he said.
Agri was in a bad mood after Princess Velie's servant was rude to him.
"What?" Jiah immediately stood up and looked at Agri, she didn't believe Agri's words at all.
"No way."
Jiah rubbed her ear to make sure she heard.
"What did the prince say?" Seeing Jiah in disbelief made him very angry.
"Daras you are deaf, I told you to go, go!" Jiah smiled stupidly.
'So this feels like a person who has been scolded by a prince.'
"Don't smile, you crazy maid!" Jiah immediately showed a straight face.
"Thanks, prince," said Jiah.
Agri didn't respond, he immediately left Jiah who breathed a sigh of relief.
When Jiah remembers Livi she gets very upset. 'Just watch out until I found you
Jiah immediately stood up looking for her friend. After looking for a long time, Jiah was getting sleepy until she decided to go back to the room.
Seeing Livi who had fallen asleep in the room made her speechless, holding back her anger she immediately fell asleep.
In the morning Melisa and the other maids got up and got ready to look after the prince. Livi tries to wake up Jiah.
"Five more minutes," Jiah said.
"Until when are you going to sleep!" hearing Melisa's voice, Jiah immediately woke up with half-closed eyes.
"Jiah, remember your job is to prepare the prince's food!" Jiah yawned because she was still sleepy.
"I understand, but isn't it still too early?" Livi approached Jiah and whispered.
"What?" Look at the clock which shows half past eight, while lunch starts at eight o'clock.
"Why didn't anyone wake me up?" asked Jiah.
"Your fault for wandering around in the middle of the night."
Jiah was silent, she didn't expect that Melisa would find out.
"I was just going to the bathroom," she lied.
Melissa got up and walked outside. "No one's been to the bathroom for over three hours."
Close the door hard.
"This is your fault, Livi."
"I?" Jiah stared in disbelief.
"Where were you last night?"
"I'm just going to the bathroom," Livi replied.
"Is it true?" Livi nodded.
"Yes, you better hurry up, because Prince Shen has to eat his favorite food."
Jiah nodded and left, she quickly got ready.
After taking a shower and changing clothes, she headed straight to the kitchen. Lots of maids and servants passing by because the party will start tonight.
Jiah was walking in the crowd busy with their respective duties.
When entering the kitchen, which even looks twice as busy as other places. Jiah stopped the maid beside her.
"Where can I find the royal chef?" The woman looked at Jiah who was wearing a different maid uniform than the one she was wearing.
"I am the servant of Prince Shen."
After hearing Prince Shen's words the lady nodded in understanding. "The royal cook who wears white clothes with black stripes on the sleeves, he was there."
The woman pointed to a man slicing fish
"Okay, thanks."
Jiah immediately walked towards the royal chef.
"Excuse me, Master Chef, I am the servant of Prince Shen."
Hearing Jiah's words Mr. Chef who was slicing fish meat turned around to see him.
"Does Prince Shen have any special requests for the meal?" Jiah nodded.
"Prince Shen is allergic to shellfish, so he doesn't like seafood. Prince Shen doesn't like meat because he is a vegetarian, so please don't serve meat for him."
The royal chef nodded and remembered.
"Prince Shen likes fruits especially orange juice that is picked straight from the garden. And Prince Shen likes bread."
"Is that all?" Jiah nodded.
Kryuk…
Jiah scratched her head that didn't itch with embarrassment.
"You seem hungry?" Jiah smiled shyly.
"A little."
"Get some bread in the second baking room, if anyone asks just say it's my order."
"Is it true?" The royal chef continued his work of slicing the fish meat
"Yes."
"Thank you, royal chef."
The royal chef nodded, Jiah immediately turned around and headed toward the second roasting room.
'Wow… this bun is so cute.'
There were thousands of buns decorated very beautifully, from the smallest to the biggest, luckily there were only a few people there, and they looked busy with their tasks so they didn't pay too much attention to Jiah.
Seeing the cute pastries, Jiah brought her face closer to smell them.
Jiah tried to eat that one bun.
"Very delicious," she said.
"Is it that good?" Hearing someone talking beside her Jiah turned around and saw the earring that the man was wearing.
The man left leaving Jiah who was still silent in her place.
"He here," she muttered.
