Grocery shopping
"I feel like you are trying to instigate me into drilling you right here," Robert muttered a few steps away from where Ruth was standing. She had her left leg on the bed with her ass pushed backwards. She held her leg but was deep in thought, she didn't know how long she had been standing there in the same position holding her leg."Something is wrong, what is wrong with you?" Robert asked."Nothing is," she replied with a smile that left the moment it graced her lips."You can't tell me anything, something is disturbing you for sure." Robert looked at her for a while."I'm fine," she muttered. She hurriedly applied her body lotion and wore the dress Robert had picked for her."What are we having for lunch?" She asked, changing the topic."I'll order something simple for us but you'll be making dinner tonight." He informed her and she hummed. She left the room giving him space to do his business, she had no idea that he was staring at her. Although she said she was okay, he knew something was wrong, was it because they were here? Was she running away from something? These questions ran through his mind.He pushed his thoughts to the back of his head and focused on getting ready. He placed an order for their meal which came faster than they expected."Want to go grocery shopping?" Robert asked, they sat facing each other on the mini dining table found not too far from the kitchen door in the little apartment."You'll go grocery shopping?" She asked just to be sure that she heard him right the last time."Why not? I don't want you carrying a lot of bags, that's tiring and I don't want to see you tired unless you are under me screaming my name." He smirked.Ruth gulped down her saliva, she felt her heart skip a beat and flutter. In order to distract herself she took a spoon full of what she thought was tomato sauce into her mouth not knowing it was Mexican pepper which was served with beef and pork."Oh my gosh!" She screamed and ran to the kitchen, her eyes were moist with unshed tears.Robert followed her into the kitchen, "Calm down, I'll get you some honey. Don't sweat, it's going to increase the burn on your tongue." He advised. He opened the cupboards in search of something to cool down the pain.He opened the empty fridge and fortunately found a lemon in it, he cut it into two halves and squeezed it directly into her mouth. It took time for the burn on her tongue to quench down but it did eventually."What were you thinking? You know you can't stand spicy food so why did you put a spoon full of Mexican pepper into your mouth?" Robert asked."I wasn't thinking, I thought it was the sauce." She muttered, she still had traces of tears on her cheeks, and a sheen of sweat had formed on her foreheadRobert cleaned her cheeks, he held the hem of his shirt to her forehead and cleaned the sweat."Look before you eat next time, what's the difference between you and a child if you can't differentiate between pepper and sauce?" He asked."I'll be careful next time," she muttered, she felt embarrassed and a little under his hard gaze."Just be careful next time." He said he held her hand and guided her to the dining table. He helped her to her seat and served her some portion of the food."Let me know if you need more, don't touch anything, we don't want another mishap." He said. Ruth couldn't help but smile, although he made them feel like a child, it looked cute."Is this how you treat everyone or is it just me?" She suddenly asked."Treat everyone? I don't understand." He asked."Caring and attentive. Is this how friends with benefits work?" She asked."There is no rule about caring about your bed friend, if I don't take care of you then who should I take care of?" He asked, "And you are my friend so it's only right for me to care and pay attention to you and your little needs." He smiled.Ruth smiled but deep down she wasn't happy like he said, bed friends which mean he doesn't see her more than a bed friend.Okay," she muttered and focused her attention on her food."Hurry up with your lunch, we still have to go grocery shopping, but because I said you should hurry up it doesn't warrant you to choke yourself." He said in a warning tone, he stood up and left for the room."Treating me like a child," Ruth muttered with a pout, her lips twitched in anger but she did nothing. After the memorable lunch they had, Robert took her to a supermarket to buy groceries and other supplies for the house."What do you want for dinner?" Ruth asked, she pushed the cart with Robert following her from behind with his hands held behind him like a supervisor."I'm craving some seafood," he muttered. Ruth wheeled the cart to the seafood section, she picked out some craps, fish, and shrimp. She added other foodstuffs and fruits."We should get some toiletries," Robert suggested. The cart was slowly getting heavy for Ruth, Robert noticed this but acted like he didn't. He wanted her to ask for his help.Ruth pushed the slightly heavy cart, she waited for him to help but the help didn't come. In order to make things difficult for her, Robert added more items to the cart.Ruth had had enough of it so she decided to speak up, "What's wrong with you? Can't you offer me a helping hand?" She asked with a frown. Her face was covered with her baby hair."It's heavy?" Robert asked with a fake gasp, he smiled when he saw the look on her face, it was priceless."I only wanted you to ask for my help, you acted like you could do it on your own." He said and gave out a short laugh. He took the cart with one hand while the other hand held her waist. Ruth looked at his face and then at his hand on her waist. She couldn't stay angry at him for long, and her anger took a big turn. What else do we need? I think we've gotten everything." Robert muttered."That would be all for now I guess, we can come back anytime to get the things we've forgotten." She replied.
