The Ball Part

"Sure. Are we going to play it now?” She asked her parents and they nodded. She approached her brother and sister. They hold their little sister’s hand as they went to the stage and the servants set up the stage for them. The Master of Ceremony introduced them to everyone and Alex played the keys to start.

She played the cello while Alex played the piano and Victoria is playing the violin. It is one of their compositions that make the listeners amazed at their talents with applause. Lonely at first but become a little intense in the middle. It ended flawlessly and that made the people's hearts melt. Prince Edmond couldn’t take his eyes off her. What he knows is that she’s the one. Although she’s still young. For him, she’s the perfect Crown Princess of their Kingdom.

Edmond walked towards Gia. Gia stared at him waiting for him to say something. He was mesmerized by her, and he didn't know why.

"Princess Gia, I am Prince Edmond, I would like to give you my first dance." He said in a very royal tune.

"Ah! So, you are the crown Prince they say." She snapped. The Prince smiled. "But, I don't know how to dance." She said.

"It's okay, you can step on my shoes and I'll just lead you." He said and offered his hand. She took it and the prince kissed her knuckles. "You got soft hands." He said squeezing her small hands a little. He stared into her unmatched eyes and it is the most fascinating thing he ever saw like he wanted to dive right in.

He led her in the middle of the ball and the music started and he pulled her waist closer to him and let her step on his shoes. He led her hand on his shoulder and held the other one. They dance through Gia really didn’t know-how. He just led her and very softly and slowly she immediately got the steps and she is no longer stepping on his shoes.

"Wouldn't I get your shoes dirty?" She asked in a very adorable sound. It's very angelic for Prince Edmond.

"They look cute together," Viola said.

"She's just seven." Athena insisted and sighed, shaking her head.

"But they really look cute together," Ares said too. Athena snorted and glowered at her husband and Ares peek on her cheek.

"Does Prince Edmond already have a future queen?" Lawrence asked the King.

"Yes and no. Well, I got a reserved queen for him but I still want him to find love." He said.

"That is a good choice for you, your majesty," Athena said. "They might get miserable if you pushed them to marry someone they didn't love."

"You are right, milady. When the first time I saw my son's mother I already told myself that I will marry her and she will be my Queen." The King spoke so dreamily. But he knew well that his Queen won't be with them until Prince Edmond grow old and fell in love.

"That is called love at first sight," Lawrence told.

The crowded hall was all watching the prince and the little girl on the dance floor dancing the waltz. They looked wonderful together and they can't help themselves but admire them.

"I'm pretty tired." She told him softly.

"Okay then," he said and they stopped. "But I would like to show you my secret garden." He said.

"You got a maze garden?" Her eyes widen and feel excited about the secret garden. Gia loved secrets and mysteries a lot.

"Yes, my lady." He said.

"Where? Can we go now?"

The prince held her hand as they walked outside to the garden with two bodyguards.

Gia was amazed by the secret maze garden of the palace. She walked around admiring the fireflies that give light to the garden. He picked a red rose where he got a cut from the thorn but he sucked his finger and hid it at his back. He picked the knife from the tool case and removed the thorn. He faced Gia who is cross sitting on the grass while patting the dog that is guarding the garden.

Edmond extended the rose in front of Gia and she stared at it.

"For you." He said.

"Thank you." She took it.

"You like dogs?" He asked while sitting beside her.

"I love dogs. I got one and I wonder if he is fine."

"Sure, he is fine." He told her so, she wouldn't worry too much. Edmond watched her yawn which is quite adorable.

"I'm tired." He removed his cloak and wrapped it around her. He stopped when her cheek landed on his shoulder.

"Vitoria?" He called but she's already asleep. She also had a hard time waking up. He wrapped his arms around her and let her lean on him. He removed his mask and kissed her forehead. "Be my Queen." Edmond knew well that she's still young, but he is willing to wait.

He went to his father's library. After knocking he entered. His father always taught him to knock first. His father taught him to be gentlemen as always.

"Yes, son?" His father asked, glancing at him from the monitor of the computer while he's reading a few graphs and documents from the daily reports.

"I want to have your permission for letting me choose my future queen." Prince Edmond said in a very polite and formal way.

His father stopped and stared at him like he already guessed what he would ask.

"I wanted to court Princess Gia Vitoria, the Princess of James Family." He hid his sly smile and cleared his throat. He leaned on his chair and looks into his son's eyes.

"She's not from royal blood." The King said.

"But she had royal blood in her veins, father. I had researched their family tree background. Her mother's great grandfather is a Prime minister of France while his father's grandfather Masen James is a Duke in Britain. So, she got royal blood in her veins." He told his father, formally. The King smiled. "And I want to court her when she turns 18."

"Very well then, but you still have to look for other ladies there. If ever you change your mind." The King told.

"Yes, father." Edmond is over the moon. He bowed at his father and left. The King couldn't hide the smile anymore. He admired his son's determination.

Once that Edmond reached his room, he quickly changed his clothes into pajamas. Instead of sleeping, he researches about Gia Victoria. He wanted to know her. He wanted to know everything about her.

"My dear, Gia. I know that it's too soon. But I am willing to be the man that you'll ever love in your life. I will be the very best at this moment." He said as he looked at her photo.
