First Night in His Flat

"Why, who is your aunt?" Jasmine haughtily asked.

"The owner of this studio is Miss Tricia Hansen. This is her business card. I'm her niece and those gowns you bought are my collections!" Michelle proudly said which made Jasmine's mouth form an 'O' shape.

Glen couldn't care less he took a pen on the information desk and wrote their birthdays smilingly.

Michelle knew exactly what's on his mind so she asked Jasmine for confirmation. "Miss Lowe, are these your birthdays?"

When Jasmine looked at what Glen had written, she chuckled. "No! His birth date is wrong. I will write it for you!" she glanced at Glen who was at that time staring at Michelle.

His stern face made Joan completely mortified. But Michelle was grinning. She even stuck her tongue out on the corner of her lips implying that he couldn't mess with her.

At that moment he already figured out Michelle's intentions on getting his personal information. He slammed the desk which made the three ladies startled. "What is the matter?" Jasmine asked in concern.

"Nothing! There's just a pestering bug here!" he said with fury.

He was a brilliant man but how come he always became idi*t when he was with Michelle.

.

When they left Tricia's studio, it was already dinner. He took Jasmine to a seafood restaurant near the lake. The ambiance of the place was breathtakingly stunning. The light posts surrounding the restaurant formed a vibrant color from the water. Due to its reflection, in the evening time, the restaurant was like on top of a cruise ship but during the morning, it was like floating on the lake. There was an orchestra inside playing solemn and harmonious music. The foods were all fresh and of different seafood recipes.

He reserved a seat near the open window. The scenery outside was majestically outstanding. Jasmine, though, had been here with her family many times, this was her first time eating with Glen. She felt very romantic and spirited. She was just staring at him.

“Am I that good-looking?” Glen jokingly asked while cutting a piece of baked king crab on her plate.

He cut it into small pieces and gave a cube to Jasmine. He fed her which made her more feel head over heels in love.

“Try this one. It’s my favorite!” he said while stuffing a baked king crab in her mouth.

Jasmine joyfully accepted. Her eyes were twinkling with delight. She elegantly chewed every piece of it and said with satisfaction and delight, “It’s delicious! I want more!”

Glen was about to stuff more food in her mouth when his phone suddenly rang. It was Nick, his assistant. “Speak!” he said loudly.

“President, there’s a slight problem in front of your unit,” Nick anxiously reported. “Miss Hansen’s car is in the parking lot.”

Glen just smirked. “Let the bug wait! You can rest!”

“Yes sir!” Nick answered.

He felt glad. This was the first time he was going to bed early since he became his assistant.

When he hung up, Jasmine was looking at him, confused. “Let the bug wait?” her brows furrowed.

“That’s nothing. There’s just a pestering bug roaming around,” he said casually while continued eating.

This time he forgot about Jasmine who was still waiting for him to feed her.

Glen arrived at his flat around ten in the evening. He was tired and stressed out with the whole day shopping with Jasmine.

His flat was a three-bedroom floor with a wide living room and dining room. There was also a terrace in the living room and master’s bedroom. All of the bedrooms had their toilet. His flat was well-maintained. He had a lady cleaner coming to his flat six times a week. Glen was a neat freak. He impacted, the most cautious one among his family when it comes to cleanliness.

His flat was designed according to his race tradition. There was a big shoe closet beside the wide main door. All of his leather shoes from Italian to some limited editions were arranged in rows and columns. He also had two pairs of house slippers and a pair of flip-flops. His flat was simple yet exquisite. All of the things in there were touches of richness and elegance. He didn’t want to stay in a big villa just like the other presidents or company CEOs because it’s too showy and ornate.

When he entered his pin code on the glass door on the first floor, he had no idea that someone from the parking lot was taking a video of him and that person recorded his code.

After taking a shower, he was about to sleep when he heard a rattling sound in the living room. He became attentive in an instant. He positioned himself just in case someone would attack him in a trice. He was about to grab the person whose shadow was illuminating on the curtain when the intruder spoke.

“Mister Young, I know you already arrived. I have been waiting for you for hours outside of your building. I’m so cold!” Michelle’s shivering voice rang in her ears.

He turned on the light and there he saw the pestering bug in his life. He was dumbfounded when he saw right beside her a big piece of luggage.

“What are you doing here?” his angry voice resonated in the whole flat. His brown eyes were sharp and his face was dark with anger.

“Mister Young I badly need to stay in your place for a while. Please allow me. Just at dinner time, I received this box in front of my flat. She stretched her hand and showed her a small box.

Glen’s eyebrows crinkled even more. He took the box from her and when he opened it, a paper with a red stain appeared in his eyes. The paper had a note stating, “WATCH OUT!”

He smelled the stain and it was not blood. It was just paint.

“This is just a paint!” Glen stated.

“Aw! I thought it’s blood!” Michelle sighed in relief. “Sorry to bother you then. I think I don’t have to worry about it. Maybe somebody just wants to prank me. I have to go back to my flat now. Good night, Mister Young!” her looks were very persuasive. She was about to turn around when Glen stopped her.

“Wait!” he said in a very authoritative voice. It made Michelle quiver.

“What is it Mister Young?” she asked innocently. Her eyes were like the eyes of a helpless kitten.

“It’s past ten. You can sleep here. I’ll prepare the guest room!” he said after turning around.

Michelle remained on her spot. “There’s no need Mister Young. I think I am safe,” she was still feigning.

Glen was already annoyed. He strode towards her and took her luggage. “If you want you can leave but your luggage will stay!” he raised his brow.

When Glen took her luggage, she had no choice but to follow him into the guestroom.

“Thanks then. Good night!” she said smiling sweetly and feeling grateful.

Glen just looked at her and left. He slammed his door when he entered his room.

Michelle, on the other hand, was all smiling. “You are genius, Michelle! You are genius!” she was murmuring while praising herself.

She stretched her hands and dropped herself on the bed. She was looking at the ceiling.

In Glen’s room, he was still decoding the note that she received in her flat. His forehead was already forming a lot of thin lines. He wanted to call Nick but he remembered he told him to rest early. He turned sideward with his hands clasped together on his chest and his fists resting on his chin. It couldn’t be he thought.

Little did Glen know this was all just an act created by Michelle. She just wanted to be close to him. The moment she met him in his room at the hotel, she already had an infatuation with him. Michelle was smiling while sleeping but Glen was frowning.
