CHAPTER 3 Creed The Arrogant Brute
“E loisa!” loud calls from outside their yard disturbed her peaceful rest. She immediately rushed out to see who was the one that interfere at her resting time.
“What is that? If you need a vegetable, I'm sorry but it’s all done! I don’t have-”
“Your Grandmother, Eloisa!” shouts of their neighbour.
“Why? What happened to my Grandmother?” Eloisa gets worried instantly.
“Your Grandmother! She fainted at the capitol plaza,” her neighbour shouted as she pointed a finger at the direction.
Eloisa acted quickly; she was extremely worried about her grandmother. They only have each other. So, if something bad happens to her grandma she will be alone and totally orphan.
Eloisa went straight to the hospital when someone told her that her grandmother was brought there. She immediately looked for it when she got there. The woman at the information desk said that her grandmother was in the ICU, because there was a crack in her grandmother’s head. There was possible internal haemorrhage and it needs an operation immediately. Eloisa felt very sorry when she saw her grandmother lying on the bed with oxygen and other devices attached.
“Please God, she is the only person I have in life. Don’t take her away from me,” she pleaded while looking at the mirror outside the Intensive Care Unit, facility.
Moments later the Doctor who was assigned for her grandmother came out.
They talked about the situation and she was more depressed when the doctor said that her grandmother had to be transferred to a private hospital in town because there was lack of public hospital facilities in their village.
She closes her eyes tightly as the doctor leaves in front of her. What now? What is she going to do now? Where will she get the money for her grandmother’s operation?
She only earns money by selling vegetables. That was not even enough for their needs. And that was the reason why she did not continue her study, because of their lack financially. Eloisa had to work early because her grandmother was old and her conscience did not allow her grandma to stretch her bones for her study. She gave up her study even though it was against her will. Her grandmother doesn’t want her to stop, she did it better than letting her grandmother work harder for her.
Out of herself and in deep thought, Eloisa walked home. She needs to earn more money to move her grandmother to town hospital. She did not know how long she’d been walking. She did not even seem to feel hungry and tired. Rocks and dust are in her path. The heat of the sun was striking and it make her feel dizzy. When suddenly a car sped off. And again, for the second time, she eats dust again as lunch.
“You fucking son of a bitch! You should have crashed! You fucking brute! You have no conscience!” She sobbed as she wiped away her tears. Eloisa feels very self-pity. Her eyes were dimming until she fell and it was completely dark.
Creed was driving his matte black Audi, as if he was the owner of the road. Yes, he owns this part of the road, because it is covered by the land near the Hacienda Galvez. He passed a woman on the side of the road. He smiled bitterly when he suddenly remembered Clarisse, the woman who dumped him. A cunning woman.
Creed screwed his engine in annoyance. The sound of his car tire rumbles, when he does the drift. His evil smile shows up when he saw the road was almost smoky with dust, and he smile even more when she saw the woman almost coughing at what he did.
Creed was enjoying the view on his car’s side mirror, while the woman literally eating dust. He was smiling to his evil deed.
“Fuck!” Creed shouted and step on his brakes. He was shocked to see the woman he passed on the road fall. Yes, he hates woman now, but he is not that included to leave her lying on the road, when it was all his fault. He immediately turned back and stop right in front of it and quickly got out of his car.
“Hey Miss!?” He shakes it, hoping it will wake up. He also felt a little nervous when she did not move. Creed removed the hair that covered her face. And he was stunned for a moment when he saw her face.
He tried to compose himself. He just felt something inside of him that he didn’t feel long time ago. Maybe he forgot that feeling so he could not name it anymore.
“Shit!” he murmured when he lifts the lady inside his car. Creed hurriedly put her in the backseat and hurriedly get himself away. He did not like the feeling that he felt when he touched the unconscious lady. He hurriedly turned on the car’s engine and started it. He looks at it from the rear-view mirror.
“Fuck! Doesn’t she have any nice dress to wear?” Creed stared at the lady from the mirror. The dress that this lady was wearing is similar to Auntie Mary’s dress. It’s just shorter than what the old woman is wearing. The lady’s tan and round thighs are slightly exposed. Creed glanced at it from the foot, well maintained long legs without any traces of scar, flawless indeed.
Creed’s chocolate brown eyes automatically travelled to the upper part of her body. It was lying on the backseat. Her long black hair covers her own face on the side.
The only thing that exposed was her neck and her neckline, up to the bulge of her breast that he could see because of the woman worn-out dress.
“Damn it!” he sighed with a series of swallows. His breathing tightened at what is his mind thinking. He needs to stop it before he relies on nothing. He’s tired of hoping and doesn’t want to fail anymore.
Creed drives the car even faster. He did not want to feel her presence any longer near him. It was disturbing his whole being. He carried the lady into the mansion. Auntie Mary immediately attended to him. He could see the astonishment in the old woman’s eyes but she remained silent and did not ask any questions. Creed ordered, Auntie Mary to clean the lady and treat her is she had a wound, and feed her if she woke up.
He breathed a sigh of relief when he left the room. He felt warm when he lifts it back inside. And he did not know why he felt that way. The heat coming from that woman’s body was scorching hot.
