CHAPTER 4 The Arrogant\'s Guilt

C reed was walking back and forth between the middle of the hallway. Right in front of the guest room where he let the lady stay. His breath getting heavy and he doesn’t know what is happening to him.

Inexplicably, he feels something odd with that woman, or maybe it was just his conscience. He did something bad to that woman and it causes her to faint. It was all his fault and maybe that was the real reason why he feels strange, it was just his conscience. There is no reason to assume. Even if he feels it real, he still doesn’t want to conclude with what’s impossible. Maybe he was just imagining things. He's not wanting to have false hope.

He startled when the door opened and Auntie Mary, came out. She was in her late 60’s but she was still strong and hardworking. Auntie Mary was surprised when he immediately walks in her direction.

“How is she, Auntie?” he asked instantly. Auntie Mary is about to speak when the lady came out of the guest room. Creed, suddenly stood up straight and was stunned.

Damn her sexy body that makes him gulp his mouth dry. The lady was wearing a baby pink dress that was over her knee. He was stunned by just looking at her. And crap! Is that dress was too small for her, or it is just her bumps were too big?

Fuck it! He shouldn’t mInd.

Creed straightened up as the lady walked closer. But to his surprise, he was ignored. The woman didn’t even bother glancing at him, and it made him ask himself, why?

“Thank you, Auntie Mary.”

The woman just smiled at his old servant and yet ignored him, even though he was almost in front of her. She just keeps walking as if he weren’t there and he didn’t even exist. And him, being that not so nice person, his eyebrows immediately met with annoyance. Only now has a woman who turned her back and ignored him at his own house.

“What is wrong with that woman, Auntie Mary?”

Auntie Mary looked at him intently before she speaks. “That young lady is an orphan. She was roaming the whole village to sell vegetables. I was sorry for that young lady. Her grandmother was in the hospital and what did you do to her, Creed?”

After hearing what Auntie Mary said, Creed Galvez instantly feels guilt. He shouldn’t do what he did especially to the people of this village. His conscience is now eating him up. He runs after her to say sorry but he stopped at the staircase.

Creed’s eyes focused on its release as if in a hurry. He couldn’t understand himself as he watched it go down the high and huge stairs of their house. She was pulling down the clothes she is wearing, and it looks like it will be ripping any moment. And damn, she looks sexy doing that.

“Fuck!” He feels something unusual. His face getting thick and he is sweating.

“That fucking arrogant rude! What was he thinking... he owns the road and could do whatever he wants?” Eloisa was annoyed when she passed the man who causes her to lose consciousness. This is also probably the reason why she is now inside this luxurious mansion that she always looked at from its entrance, on the side of the road.

“Shit! What kind of dress is this? It was so fucking tight and small,” Eloisa shouted as she went down the stairs. She also pulls on the dress because it was too short and her legs were exposed.

Eloisa marched out of the mansion after saying thank you to the old woman who took care of her. She knows Auntie Mary. The old woman often buys her goods sometimes when she needs kitchen stuff. She didn’t bother to pay attention to the arrogant man because she was annoyed. Why would she be grateful if he was the reason?

When Eloisa got out of the mansion, she walked straight to the wide entrance of the garden. He even met some workers before she reached the huge gate of the mansion. The workers kindly smile at her and she waved back.

“Shit!” Eloisa slightly slapped her forehead when she remembered that she had to earn some money for her grandmother who was in the hospital right now. The problem is, where does she start? She wants to cry in despair that she can still find loan shark. Who is she owing here in their village? The people here are also poor. And if someone borrows, she will definitely need collateral, proof that she will be able to repay what she is lent.

Eloisa hopelessly walked back to the hospital. It was far away but she forced herself to walk because she can’t afford the fare and she don’t have any cent in her pocket. Fortunately, she was feed in the mansion, maybe a consolation with that man’s arrogance. She remembered his handsome face, again. The chocolate colour of his eyes that she avoided looking at before. The firmed muscles of his arms was tempting.

“Oh my, did you really have time to think about that, when you have a lot of problem?”

It was late at night when Eloisa arrived at the hospital. She immediately peeked at her grandmother. It looks tired and based on that, it really needs to be transferred to the private hospital in town as the doctor suggested. The big question is how? How is she going to do that? When she doesn’t even know if she will be able to find something to eat for tomorrow

“It is ok, Eloisa! You can do this! Fighting!”. Giving the confidence to her own words. She wiped away the impending tears of self-pity. She knew she can do it. She will make a way for her grandmother.
