Chapter 4
"Report prepared by the ME indicate that the victim have been dead for 8 days. The frame time for her death was assume between 10-11 pm. The cause of death was due to multiple trauma to her head, one hit was on the back of her head and five hit on the left side.
Following the blood stain residue left on the scene, it was suspected after the murderer killed the victim, the murderer moved the body from the crime scene to an unknown place, well preserved the body and move back the body to the crime scene while positioned the body in the same position after she die.
The place where the murderer hid the body still can't be determine at present time but the murder weapon was found. One of the trophy in the clubhouse where she was found death was used, as after the lab examined it, the wound on the head matches the trophy as well as the blood residue on the trophy matches the victim DNA", Eden read the report presented to him.
The back of one head is one of the most vulnerable place where in danger people tend to protect it. There was no sign of a struggle or self-defence from the autopsy report. Whether the victim know who the murders was or the victim does not have much time to even react.
"If the murderer can enter the clubhouse, the victim definitely know who the murderer is. I have also check the CCTV and count every head that going to the clubhouse and going out from the clubhouse but there was no a single person there before or after the victim went to the clubhouse and vanish. This is so strange..." said his partner, Jack.
Eden frowned, in deep thought said, "At the end, it was always the CCTV to cut the conjuncture."
"Do you suspect that the CCTV was tampered?” Jack asked.
Eden nodes, “Somehow...Did the forensic say anything about the CCTV recording?".
Jack shake his head, "Nothing at the moment. They're also trying to recreate crime scene for the possible murder situation", Jack touch his chin, "You know, I have this craziest idea. What if, there is some kind of secret room inside that clubhouse. So, people can go in and out without being seen. That is why there was no CCTV install inside the clubhouse."
Eden laughed a little, "For once, what you say make some sense. For a second I though you going to say the murderer is some kind of magician that used trick to hid the body. You know that we are investigating a murder case, not solving an escape room game."
"Hey! My sense is not that bad okay!" Jack said.
Eden want to continue teasing Jack but his phone vibrate. When he check the phone, Doctor Sara the Medical Examiner sent him a massage asking him to come to the autopsy room.
Eden stand up and grab his coat," Let’s go, Doc Sara want to meet me at the autopsy room."
"Hey miss mighty, where’s your assistant?" asked Eden after seeing only Doctor Sara at the autopsy room.
"In the lab waiting for us", Doctor Sara said. "Come to the lab, there something we want to show you." Doctor Sara led Eden and Jack going out from the autopsy room and enter the room at the end of the floor.
“This is so unfair!” Doctor Sara's assistant who is busy in front of the computer starting whining upon hearing someone entering the lab. “Autopsy is not my field so as forensic for evidence to you Doc, but why can’t we have our own assistant. For one case have us not slept for two days! What if we got ten cases like this? Is this not killing us indirectly!”
“Enough of your whining, Eden is here. Show them what we got” said Doctor Sara.
Seeing extra people in the lab, Doctor Sara's assistant eat back her complain, “Owh, you’ll have arrive. Please look to the monitor.” She said with a smile.
“Based on the position of the body and blood residue pattern left, we deduce that when the victim receive the first trauma at the back of her head, she was likely walking out to the door. After that, the victim look back to the murderer and fall down backward. While the victim is at a sitting position, the murderer give the next five trauma to the left of her head” explain Doctor Sara's assistant while the recreate scene was shown in 3D on the monitor.
“The murderer most probably pull the victim up to a sitting position by pulling her left arm to give the five trauma that lead to her death.” Doctor Sara's assistant added. “We found suspicious blood residue that trail away from the body suspected to be cause when the victim body was moved from the scene. Look from this photos, the trail ends under a book shelves that I found weird. Like the body was moved under the book shelves which is impossible. So, the logical explanation is that, the book shelves might have been moved so that the victim body can be drag over”
Jack excitedly pointing his finger to the monitor and said, “Look what I say earlier! Secret room! There’s definitely a room back there!”
Doctor Sara's assistant only give Jack a glance and continue “I also broke down of each and every stain on the clothes of the victim. There were only mud and rust, no sweat or blood that indicate the clothes are not the one the victim wear the time she died.”
“Other than that, there were four item found on the victim. Each item have one latent prints that when matches to the victim shows the prints doesn’t match and it also doesn’t match with each other. The print come from four different person.” Doctor Sara's assistant said.
Eden frown when hearing the last part. He and Jack look at each other. There too much of coincidence that it have to be ‘four’ person. Is the ‘four’ person is the people they think it is?
“I also have some doubt about the CCTV recording. Can you help check if there is the possibility it was tampered?” Eden asked.
Doctor Sara's assistant only nodded.
Eden tap Jack shoulder “Now, let’s us go and found out more about that secret room of yours.”
