Chapter Three

Emily Brown

I dragged my already heavy feet upstairs and straight away to Samuel's room. I didn't knock and I think I should have after what I saw when I got inside.

Two people, to be precise a girl and a boy were busily engaged in love making.

They were completely naked and the boy was on top of the girl. The girl curled her legs around the guy's waist tightly and moaned slightly.

The guy's face was buried in the girl's neck. He gradually move away from her neck and and whispered seductively while thrusting a bit harder " you are the most sweetest thing ever on earth Charlotte, I swear it feels more satisfying this morning than last night "

The girl smiled at his words and moaned loudly this time "oh...yeah Samuel, I love this so much.... Mmm"

I couldn't hold my tears anymore and they started falling uncontrollably. Why would Samuel do this to me? I loved him so much, with all my heart. Then why would he cheat on me so mercilessly like this?

I was about to let them notice my presence but abruptly stopped when I heard what the girl asked " Samuel, when are you going to let Emily know about us. We can't keep this a secret for thousands years, can we?"

The guy got off the girl and laid beside her on the bed, supporting his head with his left arm and said

"I will tell her everything Charlotte, am just waiting for the right time. I just heard yesterday that the only son of the Grey family is about to get married to her"

So Samuel knew about this? That too yesterday and didn't even border to give me a call? To tell me something to comfort me? Why?!

For some seconds I thought that maybe Samuel was depressed about the news he heard yesterday and that's why he's in bed with this girl.

But no, who was I kidding, Samuel wasn't done with his words yet and continued " but I can't let this marriage take place "

"Why Samuel? You are not thinking of marrying her, are you?" The girl asked with a frown face.

"Of course not. But if I allow this marriage to take place, then how will I achieve my goal. I can't get what am looking for without her help. And to get her help too I need to keep her by my side as my girlfriend, for about three more months at least"

He said this and a smirking smile appeared on his lips.The girl also subconsciously smiled and rested her head on the guy's chest.

This scene was a sharp dagger in my heart. It was piercing and tearing my heart into pieces. My tears were still falling bitterly on my cheeks.

I started hating Samuel Green in my heart instantly. I've loved this guy for the past two years and in just a few minutes, this same love have quickly turned into a deep hatred.

"Pa....Pa....Pa.."

I clapped my hand one by one as I moved a little closer to them. The girl quickly lifted her head off the guys chest and stared at me with wide open eyes.

Samuel Green, on the other hand, just quietly got out of the bed and put on a short which was lying on the floor quickly.

He then moved in my direction and halted just a foot away from me, then he started uttering his insincere apologies and whatsoever he had already thought of saying " listen Emily, is not what you think. Am very sorry for making you see me in this state, but I really didn't mean it ok. I love you and......"

"Pa!" I gave him the tightest slap ever. I was so angry with him and with myself for loving and trusting him. If I had seen him with any other girl then that would've been a bit ok. But no, he was with Charlotte.

This wasn't the first time I had seen him and Charlotte together, but I always trusted his words and never thought something could ever go on between them.

Three months after Samuel and I started dating, he introduced Charlotte to me as his cousin. He told me Charlotte was his Aunty's daughter. And how could I ever think of something like that about them when Charlotte was not even staying in the same house with them.

He said Charlotte rarely paid them visit as she's staying a bit far from this city.

Everything was a lie. A very big one. And I fell for it, I was stupid and naive to think that I was the only woman in Samuel Green's eyes.

Christian had warned me thousand times about the two of them but I chose to believe Samuel all the time and kept a blind eye on what Christian said.

I wish I had believed Christian earlier, then I wouldn't have felt so heart broken now.

Looks like Samuel wasn't expecting the sudden slap that came from me. He held his slapped cheek with his left hand and frowned deeply.

I knew he was about to say" how dare you slap me Emily? "

But I didn't give him the chance and angrily roared " Samuel Green, I thought you were the best guy anyone could ever have, but I never knew you would turn out to be the most despicable thing I'll ever encounter in my life"

I swayed my eyes over to the girl who was sitting uneasily on the bed and chose to say nothing. I just threw them with disgust looks and stormed out of the room not bothering to even shut the door behind me.

I went back downstairs and saw Christian still waiting for me. He quickly run up to me and hugged me tightly while patting my back. I was still crying bitterly and the hug from Christian gave me a little comfort.

He continued to pat on my back and said " its ok Emily, calm down. I always knew that Samuel was a jerk and didn't deserve you. But don't worry, am here for you and I'll never leave your side, I promise. "

I slowly came out of his embrace and wiped the tears off my cheeks. I knew that I had nothing more left and no hope. I'll have to go back home and go ahead with this unwilling marriage of mine.

I didn't say anything to Christian and strode out of the Greens mansion.

When I got back to our mansion, I didn't even bother to use the secret back door and went through the main door.

I saw my dad coming out of the house with some desperation in his eyes. He looked very angry and this made him look a bit ugly.

The moment his eyes caught sight with me, he gazed at me angrily. He was standing a bit far from me, but the anger he was radiating from his body could be felt from from the distance.

He strode towards me while clenching his jaw and I knew this was surely not going to be easy.

When he finally stood in front of me, I started shivering a bit.

He didn't say anything and just grabbed my wrist and dragged me into the house with him.

He was holding my wrist so tightly that, it was even hurting. I couldn't bear the pains anymore and held his arm to plead with him" dad please let go of me. You are hurting me. Please! "

Tears started falling again and I pleaded even more. He didn't say anything and just dragged me upstairs, probably to my room.

Then he suddenly said out of blue " shut up woman, do you think I am ready to risk giving you another chance to run out of this house"

He threw me into my room and said finally standing at the door "wash up right now, the Grey family have sent some people over to take care of your dress and make up. Better waste no more time."

He shut the door behind him and left.

So am really going to marry this stranger. Oh God!
