Chapter Seven

The scene in front of me was too epic. I just stood cemented at my place, not knowing how to deal with whatever was going on.

I didn't understand anything, so I stood there looking at the two lovers , which I wasn't sure of.

I didn't know whether they were lovers or whatever. I just couldn't process what was happening in front of me now.

That stupid guy just stormed into the church out of no where and planned on taking my wife away from me. When I saw him hug my wife so tightly in front of me, I felt my blood boiling above hundred degrees.

I clenched my fist tightly beside me trying very hard to suppress the anger burning within me.

That was my wife he was hugging, that too in front of me and not even giving a damn care about my presence.

Didn't he know who I am? Didn't he know how terrible his life would be after messing up with me?

This is the wedding of the CEO of the biggest and highest company ever here in Q city, and he dare try to ruin it? He's surely done with.

I was about to take action against this epic scene when I suddenly thought of something.

All this while my wife was just standing speechless at her place. Not bothering to protest against what the guy was doing.

'I hope she's not thinking of leaving with this idiot' I frowned at the thought of this and stared at the two of them angrily.

I couldn't see her face expression since her face was buried in the guy's chest.

Why should I even be bothered about what's happening? Besides, I'm not interested in getting married to this stranger. If she wants to stop this wedding and go away with this boyfriend of hers then why should I stop her?

But can I really do that? Can I watch silently and let this idiot leave with my wife as if it means nothing?

No! Never! If I allow this to happen then my image will be tarnished. People will talk bad rumours about me and I'll become the front page of every newspaper here in Q city.

I can't let this happen and have to do something to stop this stupid drama right now. If she wanted to be with that guy, then she shouldn't have agreed to marry me.

For a while, I began to think that maybe the two of them planned this together. Maybe she wanted her boyfriend to appear from no where in the middle of the wedding and ruin everything.

But I guess they didn't know who they were trying to mess with. They were just playing with the lion not realizing how easily I can tear their body into pieces.

My wife dared hug another man in front of me, and I felt like I was being insulted directly.

I was very angry, but I still maintained the calmness on my face and glared at my mom.

My mom is I almost like my shadow, so she understood me even when I didn't speak.

She quickly nodded to my glare and made a phone call. Now the real action is going to begin.

And I couldn't wait to see it!

I was at the church, hugging the woman I've loved for almost two years now.

I wasn't ready to let her go at all. Not now that I've finally been able to confess my feelings for her.

I fell in love with Emily the first day I saw her. But I couldn't tell her because she was already in a relationship with my cousin Samuel Green.

Samuel wasn't a good guy for her which I knew. But she would never believe or accept anything bad I said to her about him.

When Emily finally figured out the truth herself, I was very happy thinking that I can now be with her.

I wanted Emily to be my woman, my wife and my everything. I wouldn't be able to live if she's not with me, then how could I allow this marriage to take place.

Earlier in the morning when Emily left without saying a word to me, I didn't stop her because I thought she might be in a helpless state so I didn't want to bother her.

After she left, I saw my cousin descending the stairs while snorting "don't think you've won already Christian, you just don't know what tragedy is about to befall you.

He laughed hysterically and said while handing me a sheet of paper" the love of your life is getting married today idiot. She has broken up with me though, but it doesn't mean she's going to be yours. You can try and ruin this marriage if you love Emily that much. And this is the address of where the marriage is taking place "

After finishing his words, he headed to the kitchen and I was just cemented in my place.

What?! Emily getting married today? And she didn't even say a word about it to me?

I started shivering and I knew I had to do something as soon as possible.

With the address in my hand, I strode out of the house and headed straight to the church without even taking my car.

I ran and ran until I stood in front of the church panting vigorously. But that couldn't stop me from achieving my goal.

I stormed into the church screaming Emily's name here and there. I just wanted to attract everyone's attention to me to halt the ceremony.

I knew I was late but not too late. Emily was now about to put the ring on her groom's finger.

I just separated Emily and my cousin, how can I allow her to marry someone else when I love her immensely like this?

I took the ring from Emily's hand and hugged her tightly, then after that, I confessed my love for her.

But what she did next broke my heart completely. It shattered me and it made my entire body to shiver.

She pulled herself out of my embrace and said coldly while staring at her groom

"Am sorry Christian,please leave right now"

Emily and I have been friends for almost two years now, and I can say she has never been so cold with me like this before.

Maybe she was acting like this because of what my cousin did to her. But to watch her get married to another man, no !

I was about to convince her further when I felt a hand grab my wrist. I turned to see who it was and to my surprise, it was the cops.

Within a flash, my hands were already handcuffed.

I didn't even get time to utter a word but instead heard the voice of the groom coming from behind me

"Don't release him until I give the order"

What! Who the hell does he think he is?!
