Chapter 1 (part two)

Sultaan opened his eyes and looked to his right. It was a sleeping soha she looked really exhausted. He still wanted her but he pitied her just by the way she kept crying last night. He had a  warm shower and performed wudhu.

"Soha" he gently shook her shoulder. She opened her tired red eyes. "Its past prayer time, get up and take a shower" he spoke smiling. She nodded smiling with her eyes closed. He scooped her up and took her to the bathroom when she couldn't walk.

He came back to the bed room and changed the bedsheets. After 20 minutes she came out all cleaned up. She walked slowly to her closet feeling slight pain beneath her . She wore a simple abaya and her hijab and then joined her husband in prayer before going back to sleep.

They woke up around 12pm and had their bath. Soha dressed up in a yellow skirt and blouse Ankara with pink patterns on it. She made up her face and went down the stairs to the dining. Sultaan was dressed up in a light blue kaftaan which made him look handsome and breath taken.

His eyes met with hers and she quietly sat on the chair. "You look beautiful wife" he complimented smiling. "Thank you." She blushed. "Let's eat." She stood up and opened the food warmer to see crispy deep fried nut crusted chicken fillet which was cooked by sultaan's mother. She opened the other food warmer and saw masa in it.

"What would you like to eat?" She asked trying to avoid his gaze because of what happened between them last night. "Masa will be ok" he replied. She went into her well arranged large kitchen and came out with plates and spoons.

She served him and kept it in front of him. She was about to serve herself when he stopped her. "Let's eat together." She didn't attempt to argue. When she was done feeding him he did the same to her.

She cleared the table while he moved to the living room to watch tv. When she was done she joined him in the living room. She sat on one of the sofas far away from him. "Sohana" he called out. "Yes" she answered her head low. "Come sit here" he said more like an order patting a space next to him. She quietly stood up and walked to where he was.

She sat down beside him. "On my laps" he sighed. She looked up at him before lowering her gaze. "C'mon sit." She sighed and sat on his laps. He placed his hand on her waist and kissed her neck. "I love you" he muttered. She blushed covering her face with her palms.

"Why are you suddenly shy? Where's the bad ass soha I know?" He asked laughing. He moved his hand up to her chest. She pushed his hand "stoooppp!" She whined. "Why?" He questioned and kissed her neck again.

He loves the way she smelled of bakhoor. "I have to go upstairs and do something" she said pushing him away. "Like?" He queried looking at her. "Uhmm something" she smirked. "You...." the door bell interrupted. "Seriously, visitors already?" He groaned.

He went to check while she sashayed upstairs to get her veil. "Yaya!!!" The two girls squealed and hugged him. "Personal space" he pushed them away. "Sorry" they apologized and greeted him. "Mama sent us to bring lunch for you guys" The little girl said all happy.

"Where's aunty soha?" Halima asked as they went into the living room. A nice, warm smell welcoming their nostrils. "Hey guys" sohana said smiling. "Ina wuni (good afternoon)" Nana and halima greeted except for Maryam. "Lfy lau, ya mama da abba (fine, how is mama and Abba?)" she asked.

"Suna lfy (they're fine)" they answered. "Keh! Baki iya gasuwa bane (can't you greet?)" he asked in a harsh tone to Maryam. "Good afternoon" she said dryly. Sohana only smiled. "Lemme get something for you guys." She said standing up. "No aunty soha don't worry, the driver is waiting for us" halima said standing up and fixing her veil.

"My regards to mama and Abba. Please thank her for me." One thing sultaan loves about Soha is she's always smiling, no matter how sad, angry or hurt she is. You'll always see her smiling. She accompanied them outside and came back.

"What have I ever done to your sister" she said sadly sitting on his laps. "Don't worry about that fish brain she doesn't know what she's doing. On the bright side halima and nana loves you and that's good. My parents love you, that's good too" he finished talking planting a kiss on her forehead. "Yeah that's good" she shrugged.

"And most importantly, I Love You." She smiled by the way he said it. She hugged him tight "I love being in your arms my love."
