Like a rose with thorns

"If you dare, don't fight a woman!" The man hisses when he locks up the movements of Michael's bodyguard.

Callista was shocked when she sees a man is helping her. It feels like she wants to refuse that help, but it's not possible. Finally, she lets the man help her fight her father's bodyguard.

"Thank you," said Callista to the man in front of her. But the man did not answer when Callista thanked him.

Olivia started to open her eyes, since earlier when Callista was fighting, she had kept her eyes closed because she didn't dare look at her best friend. When Olivia saw that the bodyguard Callista's father was gone, Olivia immediately ran to Callista. "Are you all right, Callista?" Olivia held Callista's shoulder, checking whether her best friend had been injured or not.

"I'm Alright," replied Callista.

"I'm sorry, miss, you have to compensate for this damage," said the manager who is now approaching Callista.

"D*mn it!" said Callista. If it weren't for her father's doing, there was no way she would have to compensate for this damage.

"Let me pay." The man who had helped Callista gave his black card to the manager to pay for all the damages.

Callista was shocked when the man immediately gave the black card to the club manager that night. "Sir? Why did you pay for it? I can pay for it."

The man did not answer. After the payment, he immediately walked away from Callista. Callista shouted for the man to stop, but the man did not respond to her.

Callista quickly ran after the man, and She holds him by the arm. "Wait, sir."

The man turned back. Then he stared fixedly at Callista's beaded blue eyes. "If you want to thank me, then there's no need to thank you," said the man in a cold voice.

"No, I don't just want to thank you. But I want to change your money, Sir. I don't want to owe you. Please give me your account number. I'll transfer the money to your bank account," replied Callista. She responded to the brown-eyed man's gaze in front of her.

The man stepped closer and smiled obliquely. "If one day we meet again, you can pay for it. But right now, I don't take money from you."

Callista's looking at him. She doesn't understand what the man's said. The man kept smiling at Callista. His strapping body, handsome face, and browned-colored eyes made her unable to distract him. Then the man turned his body around and walked away from her.

Olivia ran over to Callista, who was outside. She quickly tapped her friend's shoulder, who was daydreaming. "Callista, what's wrong with you?" Olivia said, which suddenly made Callista stop her reverie.

"Ah, I'm all right," Callista replied quickly.

"We'd better just go home now," Olivia said.

Callista nodded. Now Callista and Olivia walk out of the nightclub. Olivia was lucky; she and Callista were coming first so that her friend, who owned the club that night, did not see what happened.

"Mr," said Harry, bowing his head when he saw Daniel stepping into the house.

"You're here? Did my dad call you?" Daniel frowned, he stared fixedly at Harry. It was unusual for his assistant to come to his house at night.

Harry nodded. "Sir. Gio called me to discuss some work, Sir."

"Now, where's my dad?" asked Daniel coldly.

"Sir. Gio takes a rest, Sir," replied Harry.

Daniel nodded briefly. "Harry, I want to ask you."

"What do you want to ask, Sir?" asked Harry with a serious look at Daniel.

"What's your opinion about seeing a gorgeous woman, but she looks tough. She's like a rose outside, so beautiful. But when you touch that rose, your hand can get hurt with the thorns that surround the rose." said Daniel. He said so casually, but his gaze was serious.

"I don't think women are weak forever. Many women also don't want to be perceived as weak. Most women with traits that you mean have high self-esteem. And surely, the woman who you mean has a stubborn nature." explained Harry what he thinks about the woman who Daniel told him.

Daniel nodded his head. "I think what your thought about that woman has explained about the woman's character," replied Daniel, justifying his assistant's words. "Harry, have you been looking for the right woman for me? The woman had to accompany me at Adam's engagement and Mr. Jonathan. Did you found it?"

"I already sent you some photos of the daughter of a famous businessman here. But yesterday, you did not choose any of them," replied Harry cautiously.

Daniel exhales harshly. "The photo that you gave me is nothing one of them I liked. I like beautiful natural women. No exaggeration, whereas you're sending women who over with their makeup,"

"Sir, but most women from the upper class, I'm sorry I mean if they're was born from wealthy families, they're going to look the way like you meant." Harry's trying to explain.

"Then look from ordinary people. No need to overdo it," said Daniel coldly.

"You asking for a woman from the daughter of a famous businessman?" asked Harry to make sure because Daniel told him that he had to find a highly educated woman and also the daughter of a famous businessman to be able to accompany him later at the party.

Daniel grunts. "It's because of Adam, and he keeps urging me to find the businessman's daughter. But now you better find someone else. It doesn't matter that she's just a regular employee, nurse, or any job as long as the woman comes from a good woman."

Harry nodded obediently. "Alright, I'll find the woman what you want."

"One thing, maybe a blue-eyed woman. Looks pretty. The blue-eyed, brown-haired woman," continued Daniel with a grin on his face.

"Sir, there was a blue-eyed woman named Ms. Alana. But it's just different, Ms. Alana's blonde hair. Do you want Ms. Alana?" Harry was trying to offer one of his options.

"Alana Foland, I know that woman. No, I don't want a woman like Alana Foland. I don't like women being too arrogant. She always underestimates someone. That's not the kind of woman I want. Anyway, I want a brunette woman. It seems a lot more awesome with a beautiful blend of eyes." Daniel imagines a brown-haired, blue-eyed woman.

"Alright, I'll try to find the woman that you like," replied Harry. "Sir, I would like to remind you tomorrow is a shareholders meeting at Queen's Hospital."

Daniel nodded cryptically. "Yes, I remember it. I haven't seen the hospital in five years. I've only seen from reports that you've given me that the hospital is overgrowing. I plan to open a branch of queen hospital in Europe."

"Sir, at the moment, Queen Hospital is very advanced and overgrowing. I'm sure, if we expand the Queen Hospital branch, it will certainly make the Queen Hospital more have a good reputation," said Harry, confirming Daniel's words.

"Alright, I want to rest. Tomorrow after the shareholder meeting, I want to relax more and clear my schedule," said Daniel coldly.

"Yes, sir," said Harry.

Then, Daniel walks away from Harry to the room. But Daniel's move stopped when he saw Alin coming down the stairs. Seeing Alin approach Daniel, Harry quickly put his head down and retreated.

"Daniel, I want to talk to you!" said Alin firmly.

"What happen?" asked Daniel lazily. The last time Alin talked about matchmaking, the man didn't want to talk to his mother.

"Calm down. I'm not talking about matchmaking." Alice had already guessed her son. She knew that her son was lazy when it came to discussing matchmaking.

Daniel took a rough breath. "What's wrong, Mom? I want to rest."

"Your sister is officially a doctor at Queen's Hospital. I want you to keep looking after and watching your sister. I don't want her back living in Paris. I want both of you to stay here. You, as a brother, can't be off guard. You have to take good care of your sister," said Alin reminded.

"I know, now I want to rest," replied Daniel.

"Yes, take a rest." Alin stroked his son's jaw.

Daniel stepped into the room—heard the sound of the phone is ringing. He takes a cell phone in the suit pocket. Staring into the screen in Adam's name sends a message. Daniel swipes the screen to open a message from Adam. Then, he immediately read the incoming message from his best friend.

Dmn it! Where are you? Why did you leave the club without telling us? Dmn you, Daniel!

Daniel smiled thinly while reading a message from Adam. He put the phone back in the suit pocket. Then step back into the room.
