I\'m Envy With You

Michael got out of the car, slammed the car door roughly, and walked into the house with a face filled with anger. He just got information from David—his assistant that failed to bring his youngest daughter home. Michael growled. This time, there was no more patience for his daughter.

Alice was shocked to see that her husband had arrived home. Because she knows the schedule for her husband's return home is Tomorrow. But now Michael was in front of her.

"You home?" Alice steps closer, then helps Michael take off his tie and suit.

"This time, I will no longer be patient. Tomorrow I'm going to pull your youngest daughter. I've lost my patience when I deal with her!" said Michael coldly.

Alice grunts, she stares sharply at Michael. "So now Callista is just my daughter? Michael Hutomo, Who got me pregnant? Can I get pregnant on my own?"

Michael exhales harshly. This time he couldn't argue with his wife. "It's not what I mean, honey, but Callista has made me lose my patience. That girl never obeyed," explained Michael. "When I asked Callista to study business, she took the Medical Sciences Department. Now she also doesn't want to lead the company. I can't possibly leave everything to Jessica. Soon Jessica will get married. She must be busy taking care of her wedding."

Alice stepped closer and stroked Michael's chest. "I'm sure Callista will understand. One day, she will help you run the company. Let her be a Doctor for a while. You know your youngest daughter has the same traits as you. You both are stubborn. You know, also, right? Being a doctor is Callista's dream."

"But Callista never obeys! She always beat my people. This time Callista has crossed her limit." Exclaimed Michael. He tried to control his anger.

Alice sighed softly. "Believe me. She wouldn't be quiet if one day you are worried about the company matters. Let Callista achieve her dreams. Since a long time ago, being a doctor has been Callista's dream."

"Why did she choose to become a doctor? I've even told her many times, being a doctor won't make her rich!" exclaimed Michael.

Alice took her breath and exhaled slowly. Then she replied, "You know your youngest daughter doesn't care about money. You should be proud of Callista, who has a smart brain to be able to become a surgeon specialist at such a young age."

"Don't defend her. You know, I never approved of Callista's dream of becoming a Doctor," Michael said coldly.

"We better go inside, you just came home must be very tired. Callista can take good care of herself." Alice tries to calm Michael down. She understood very well who her daughter was. Especially Callista's stubbornness descended on Michael.

Michael was silent for a moment. He had no other choice but to obey his wife. Michael took a deep breath and walked into the room.

Callista and Olivia took off their high heels and threw their bags carelessly. When they saw the bed, Callista and Olivia immediately lay down on the bed. It was late at night. Olivia decided to stay at Callista's apartment. Luckily, they have the same size. Olivia often borrows Callista's clothes when she's staying overnight.

"Callista, didn't you ask the name of the man who helped you? For God's sake, he's not only handsome, but he's hot too. Don't you see it? His body was printed so perfectly with a broad chest. One more thing, his arms are so seductive. He is truly a perfect man," said Olivia, still imagining the strange man helping Callista.

Callista sighed softly. "I even said thanks, but he ignored my words."

Olivia chuckled. "If I were you, I would've immediately asked his name. So, no need for pleasantries! "Olivia sneered.

"Don't talk nonsense, Olivia! I'm still so tired," exclaimed an irritated Callista.

Olivia grunts. "That is your fault, Callista Hutomo. You ran away from home. You're also the one looking for trouble with your father. You know your father very well. But you even fight it. If I were you, I better obey."

Callista turned around as if she doesn't care about Olivia's words. "You noisy, Olivia! Better shut up, or I'll kick you out of my apartment. My head hurts, hearing your voice!"

Olivia pursed her lips. Stared at her friend annoyance, "If you dare to throw me out, believe me, in your life, you will never marry! Because I'm the only one who reminds you to have a boyfriend."

Callista took a pillow and threw it roughly in Olivia's face. Her best friend's mouth gave her a headache.

Olivia caught the pillow Callista had thrown. She immediately threw it at her. "D*mn you, Callista!"

The cellphone's ringing was heard, making Callista and Olivia turn to the cellphone that kept ringing. Callista grabs her phone on top of the table. She looks at the screen with Jessica's name on her. Callista shifts the green button on the phone screen to receive calls not long after putting her phone close to her ear.

"What's wrong? Why contact me at nights like this? "Callista answered irritably when the call was connected.

"How dare you answer my phone, unkindly!" Jessica's voice exclaimed from across the line.

Callista sighed. She massaged her temples lightly. Today was indeed an unlucky day. "What's wrong? I'm going to sleep. I'm tired."

"Why did you fight our dad's bodyguard? Did you know many of our bodyguards had to be hospitalized because of you? Are you trying to get your dad to have a heart attack?" exclaimed Jessica.

"Don't worry about daddy. I've checked his healthy. Dad's heart was very healthy. I’m sure dad won't have a heart attack," said Callista confidently.

"You make me dizzy! You are such a stubborn woman! You must immediately contact daddy and apologize to him. Don't make trouble, Callista. I'll be married soon, and I also busy with my marriage preparation."

"II want to take a rest. Yes, later, I'll apologize to dad. I couldn't meet him right now. You know the reason, Jessica," replied Callista.

"But-"

"Tomorrow, I have a schedule in the morning. I'll end up this call," said Callista quickly. She immediately disconnected her phone. Put his phone back on the table.

Callista lay on the bed. Olivia looked at Calista, who seemed very tired. Olivia understood Callista's feelings. Once upon a time, Callista dreamed of becoming a doctor, not running her family company.

"Callista, did Jessica call you?" asked Olivia carefully. She saw Callista, who looked so tired.

"Yes, as you know. They will continue to force me to be what they want you to be," Callista replied with a heavy sigh. "Sometimes I envy with you, Olivia. You can choose what you like. Both of your parents are very supportive of you being a doctor. As for me? There is no one in between my family who supports my dream."

Olivia stares at Callista's, Olivia's hand gently rubbing Callista's arm. "You know what? My parents always said every parent always wanted the best for their child. And I believe your parents did the same."

"But they never heard what I wanted. My dad wanted me, like my sister. I can't live in the camera spotlight, especially the media, will ask our personal questions. I don't like living like that," explained Callista, who told her best friend why she was to obey her dad's wishes.

Olivia shook her head lightly and smiled. "You're the weirdest woman I've ever met. Everyone wants to live a life like yours. But you don't even want it."

"I want to rest. You don't be noisy." Callista pulls the pillow. She turns her body around Olivia. Now, all Callista needs is to rest. She's lazy when it comes to talking about her family.
