It was getting dark as he carried her out of the woods. Night came crawling on the skies and the back of his house came in view behind the tall trees. It was beautiful.

She didn't have the chance to look back before but now that she was seeing it in front of her eyes, she just couldn't help but think of how captivating it was. She couldn't even take her eyes off it.

To think that she first thought of it as a place of danger was quite ironic. Perhaps she should stop judging things based on appearance.

"How did you find me?" she asked, finally disturbing the silence between them. She heard his rapid breathing and she looked up at him, frowning.

"My senses are extremely great," he answered. "I can smell you and I can sense when you're gone."

"You can smell me?" she asked in disbelief. "Do I stink?"

He grinned and it took her breath away. He looked so much like an angel when he smiled like that.

"No, you smell like chocolate." And to punctuate his statement, he kissed her on the cheek and licked it.

She drew back, reddening and wiping her cheek with her shoulder's fabric. "Ew."

He only smirked and carried her towards the house. When he licked her face, she felt suddenly cautious of him. She became aware of his closeness and she was practically pressed against his chest, clinging to him, feeling every indent of his muscles.

Her heart began beating frantically, feeling herself getting hot against his skin and suddenly burning. He was hot. Literally. Did he not own any shirt?

As soon as they entered through the back door, she said, "I can walk now."

He shook his head and continued to walk upstairs. He was treating her like she couldn't walk on her own. Nothing was worse than feeling like a child. Considering his size, she was a kitten and he was a large dog.

"Where are you taking me?" she questioned.

"To my room."

She started to panic as they neared a large mahogany double door. They entered a large dimly lit room and she saw a king-sized bed. The curtains were closed so it was dark. He strided towards the corner of the room and entered a door which led to the bathroom.

He stepped into the shower and placed her down on her feet. Looking at him, she gasped and covered her eyes quickly.

He was naked! Completely naked! Why was he naked?!

"Take a bath and come out after you're done," he told her. When she opened her eyes, she saw his muscular back turned to her as he walked away, his butt in display.

Even his butt was muscular.

She quickly shook the thought off her head just as he closed the bathroom door. With a deep breath, she looked around the room. It was just as luxurious as the whole mansion. Everything seemed to be in style and extravagant.

This guy sure was rich.

She quickly took a bath as she thought about what happened. She couldn't believe there was a wild wolf roaming around the mansion. But even now, she could only think about one thing — how to get home.

She quickly washed off the dirt from her body and used a shampoo that smelled like men's hair wash. As soon as she finished, she came out wrapping a clean towel tightly around her. There she saw him all dressed and reading a book.

Once he felt her presence, he looked at her and for a moment, he seemed familiar somehow. She just couldn't put a finger to it. He stood up and walked towards what looked like a walk-in closet. He took a shirt and a boxer and gave it to her. "Wear this."

He turned around then and gave her some space to get dressed. She felt quite uncomfortable but then after that, he dragged her back to his room. He hurried to fix the bed and she just stood there in front of him, staring.

She didn't know what he was trying to do and she had no idea who he was. Why was she still here in the first place?

He patted the fluffy pillows and looked at her. "Come here," he ordered.

When she still didn't move, he said, "Don't make me come and get you."

WIth a sigh, she walked reluctantly to the side of the bed and climbed over the edge. She looked at him warily and his face didn't take no for an answer.

"Who are you?" she asked, so full of questions.

"I'll explain everything tomorrow. For now, you should rest."

He walked away without another word and she saw a couch on the other side of the room. Confused, she watched as he laid down on the couch and leaned his head back on a pillow, closing his eyes.

She couldn't believe it was night time already and she woke up in the middle of the day. But still, she felt so tired from running to the forest. It almost felt like she ran for an hour. She really thought she got so far that no one would catch her.

With a sigh, she laid down on the bed and pulled the covers up her chin. She turned to her side, away from him, thinking over all the things that happened today.

A strange man tried to kill her. Then this guy came to save her. Now she was here in his mansion and on his bed, feeling so sleepy. Who was this guy? What was he planning to do with her?

It wasn't like she needed his protection. He wasn't even her boyfriend.

She thought about how handsome he looked so he sure as hell had so many chances with a lot of sexy prettier girls, so why was he trying to protect her up to this point?

He was already rich too so she didn't think he wanted her money. There was nothing special about her either.

Still stuck with her own thoughts, she didn't notice that a time had passed and she was still awake. She had a feeling that he was already fast asleep. So she stood up on the floor and took a look at him.

He seemed to be dreaming already.

Tiptoeing quietly to the door, she gently turned the knob and it silently clicked open. She gulped down the lump in her throat as she looked at the empty hallway.

Just as she was about to leave, the door slammed back close with a heavy force. She jumped in fear as she saw him standing there in front of her, his hand pressed against the door. His eyes had turned dark and cold.

"Get back," he growled.

"No," she countered, looking at him with a glare.

He closed his eyes as if trying to contain his patience. "Just rest first. And we'll talk tomorrow."

She exhaled a breath and walked back towards bed, exhausted. She was too tired to speak and argue. She pulled herself under the covers and he closed the lights.

The darkness welcomed her with a warm hug. Perhaps tomorrow, she'd find another way. Sleep slowly took her in and it blurred her vision. She fell asleep in silence, thinking about his handsome face over and over again.
