CHAPTER SIX

As the closes behind Sebastian it felt as if the world came crashing down on me, the fear of everything that shrouded in secrecy before me, my mind raced and my heartbeat increased, the fear of what I didn't know griped me, leaving me scared and making me feel a certain tinge of curiosity to find out everything that was happening.

Lying down on the hospital bed was something I wasn't expecting, everything felt so off and all I wanted was to shake off the fear that clouded my mind. I know thinking about everything will only make me feel restless and curious. I want to get away from it, I closed my eyes looking forward to a certain comfort in a world devoid of my painful reality.

Where am I? What is this place? I thought as I ventured deeper into the dense forest with the canopy of the tall trees overshadowing me, it was dark and foggy, and everything felt strange, as if I was being trapped in a realm where nothing exists. I struggled to understand the concept behind the setting of the whole place as nothing seemed to happen the more I ventured deeper into the forest, the more it felt as if I wasn't in the same spot, the cool air felt different, the atmosphere felt nice but, I questioned why I felt like I was stuck in a place.

I sat down on a boulder that seemed to be the only one in the whole forest, a piece of log adorned with different pieces of artwork, from what I felt happened in the ancient times, past history of the werewolves, but only one of those pieces attracted me. I was drawn to it as if it was borne out of my existence. The more I studied it the more I felt drawn to it. The carvings had a rich tapestry of ancient carvings and a special artistry effect depicting the emotional struggles of a female werewolf, physically and mentally. It made me feel a special connection due to my past experiences. I looked deeper as I traced my hands on the figure trying to feel its essence.

Suddenly, a haunting howl echoed throughout the forest, capturing my attention, what was this sound? It sounds more like werewolves. I thought, as the sound kept on getting louder, clearer and closer. Fear gnawed at me and my heart raced in my chest, "where exactly am I?" I said in what sounded more like a whisper. "What is this sound?" I said in a whisper questioning my initial belief that it was definitely a howl.

I turned around as I picked up the pace in fear of the unknown, "why am I running? Nothing was scary enough to have made me run, but I couldn't stop running as my heartbeat continued to rise and my body started feeling weak.

As I ran through the forest,my feet betrayed me as I stumbled on the forest uneven floor snagged by the root of a tree. At that point, I felt as if the world was against me the fear of being caught by the howl of the unknown gnawed at me as I tried to regain my footing but, it seemed as if my feet had a mind of its own refusing to cooperate, I struggled to get myself up as I surrendered to my fate, with curiosity and fear of the unknown clouding my mind.

My heartbeat now seemed to beat faster than before and now I could hear it as it sounded in my ears like it was a music beat playing. The sound of the howl got pretty close but I could not figure out where exactly it was coming from, the whole environment looked the same, and the sound of the howl echoed throughout the forest leaving me scared and curious of what I didn't know, I tried to close my eyes but, my eyes also betrayed me, I couldn't blink or close the eyes as I decided to resign to fate and left myself free.

I sat there looking out for any signs of the figure that made the howl sign. But, after several minutes nothing came, I began to question myself, was it my ears? Or was everything really my own thinking? Am I being delusional? I thought.

A figure appeared out of the blue, it had shining blue eyes and ethereal silver fur. It was really a werewolf, fear gripped me as the figure continued to approach me. I made one last try to get up from where I fell, but it proved abortive. The she-wolf looked me in the eyes and transformed into a human.

She looked exactly like me after her transformation. Several questions threatened to engulf my soul. Questions like, what are you? Why are you here? Where is this place? Why do you look exactly like me? Why can't I move? Is it your presence or is it something you've done? How do I get out of here? … My body trembled as the figure looked deep into my eyes, while stretching his arms forward.

My hand moved on its own as I subconsciously placed my hands on his leaving me shocked as to what was going on, was she really controlling me? Or was it my will to take her hands. The figure pulled me up,I wanted to ask the questions that clouded my mind but, as soon as I got to my feet the whole environment disappeared leaving me in a dark gloomy filled place.

"Fiona! Fiona!! Fiona!!!" Someone was calling me? Who's this? I thought the voice sounded far away. I was still trapped in the dark gloomy place and all I could hear was the voice.

"Who are you?" I replied, my voice tinged with uncertainty and fear. But nobody answered. The fear that engulfed me in the dark gloomy space got heavier as I kept on hearing my name being called and the voice continued getting louder and louder but I didn't know who exactly it was.

Who was calling me? I thought as I turned around but there was no one around me and everywhere looked so dark.
