Chapter 9: Hill Hawk

“Blasé, Alpha Tobias is here with his mate, son, and daughter.” My dad linked. “They also brought about a dozen of their warriors. I’m having Gordon and Marcy show them to the guest housing, your mom thinks it would be a good idea to have Tobias and his family stay here in the pack house.” “That’s fine dad. We will be down in few minutes.” He told his dad. “Blasé, who’s coming to dinner?” Storm asked. “Hopefully some people you will remember from your past.” She frowned at me. “As for as I know I have no family. Well, I have family but M…Nancy told me that after my real dad died his family threw us out and didn’t want anything to do with us.” “So, she never told you that you’re a werewolf.” She scrunched her nose. “No, I had no idea they…we existed. And that’s something I would’ve remember.” She squinted one eye and chuckled. “The only reason I found out was because Fred shifted in front of me.” She stuck her tongue out and gagged, that is an image she wants to forget. “Nancy may have lied to you about your family. The Alpha and his family that are coming to dinner, we think he is your…uncle. Alpha Tobias seems to think that you are his long-lost niece. He’s been looking for you since you disappeared.” A small smile appeared. “My uncle? But Nancy said…” She shook her head. “All she’s ever told me were probably, no they were all lies.” She sighed. “She took me away from my family, from my dad and his memories.” She fought back a sob. “Well, let’s go find out.” Blasé held out his hand and she held it tight as they walked out of their room. “But why can’t she remember anything?”

“Ryder! Rebel! Come back here!” They heard Marco yell as they saw two little wet black fur balls run by them followed by Marco. “Not to worry, I already called for backup.” He called back as he ran down the stairs. Both Storm and Blasé sighed deeply and hurried after them. Everyone was outside chasing the boys; River was in Grace’s arms giggling. She was his good little princess. “I good girl dada.” She smiled wide at him with a toothless grin. “Yes, you are princess.” “Rebel! Ryder!” Blasé bellowed bring them to a stop. “Come here right now!” They both trotted over to them like nothing happened, nipping at each other. “You are supposed to be little boys not little pups.” He scolded. “We are having very important visitors for dinner, and you can’t be puppies sitting at the dinner table. You two back upstairs right now, get cleaned up and come back down as little boys.” Storm pointed to the house. The boys tucked their tails between their legs, lowered their heads and practically crawled back to the house. They looked back at their parents but the look on their faces said for them to get moving. They made their way up the stairs followed by Marco and Silas.

Before Blasé and Storm walked back inside a brown SUV pulled up. “Dammit, I was hoping to have more time before they arrived.” He mumbled as Storm chuckled. “You ready sweetie?” Grace asked her. “Not really.” She sighed. “But if they are my family then I can finally get answers.” Blasé and Storm stood side by side waiting for their guests to exit the vehicle. “Stormie!!” A girl about the same age as Storm bolted out the passenger side, engulfing her in a hug. “OH, MY GODDESS!” She sobbed. “You are alive!” She held Storm out in front of her. “I missed you so much.” Storm just hugged the female and letting the girl softly sob on her shoulder, she looked like she was thinking, trying to remember who the female in front of her was. Two males and another female got out of the vehicle and stood next to Storm and the sobbing girl. “Karla, let her breath.” Alpha Tobias told the girl gently tugging the girl from Storm’s arms. Storm stared at the two males and two females. “I know you.” She whispered. “I would hope you would.” The older female smiled as she cupped Storm’s face. “You look so much like your father.” She said as tears fell from the corner of her eyes. “Aunt Althea.” She whispered, looking at the two males, “Uncle Tobi, Karla, Doltyn?” Her wolf started howling with joy. She recognized their family scent. “We never stopped looking for you.” Her uncle told her pulling her deep into his arms hugging her tight.

“Mama!” Her three little pups ran to her. Rebel forced his way in between his mom and the strangers. He stood in front of Storm in a protective stance. They all chuckled at his little scowl. “Well, who is this little brave warrior?” Her uncle questioned narrowing his eyes at Rebel. Blasé scooped River in his arms as Storm gently put her hand on Rebel’s shoulder and pulled Ryder from behind her legs. “Kids, this is your Uncle Tobi, Aunt Althea, and cousin’s, Doltyn and Karla.” She introduced them. “Awe, they are so cute.” Althea cooed. River smiled wide and batted her eyelashes. “Thanchew.” She told them leaning her head on her daddy’s shoulder batting her eyelashes and making everyone chuckle. “Are they yours?” Tobias asked. “Yes and no.” Storm crinkled her nose. “They are my siblings but I’m the one they’ve always called mom since they were six months. I’m the one who took care of them. Nancy gave birth and for the first six months she was a great mom but then after that she moved them into my room and never looked back.”

Silas walked out of the house, lifted his nose, and said “MATE.” Karla stiffened and looked to Silas. “No way! Karla found her mate.” Doltyn laughed. “My dumbass brother is her mate.” Blasé chuckled. “I’m so sorry.” He snorted. Storm poked him in the stomach. “Owie. What? Awe, c’mon, it’s Silas.” He snickered. “Are you really not concerned about your cousin being mated to your not so smart brother-in-law?” Blasé asked with a stupid grin. Silas walked up to Karla and pulled her into his embrace and buried his face in her hair inhaling her scent. He looked her in the eye and accepted her ”…MINE.” Karla felt goosebumps all over her body, “YOURS,” she breathed out. “Don’t listen to them.” He motioned to his brother. “He has no idea what he’s talking about. I will be an amazing mate. You are my reason for being.” He told her kissing her neck. Storm smiled. “I agree with Silas. He just needed a reason to be better and it looks like Karla is that reason.” She said as Silas continued to nuzzle Karla they were lost in each other.

Storm turned to her family, “Uncle Tobi, Aunt Althea, Doltyn this is Silas SilverMoon, Beta to the SilverMoon pack, Blasé’s brother and my future brother-in-law.” “Ehem…” Storm cleared her throat. Silas paid them no attention, when he didn’t respond, she tapped the back of his head, nothing. Blasé took matters into his own hands. SMACK! “Hey! What the fu…fffuuuudge!” Silas yelled quickly corrected himself. “Silas, meet my Uncle Tobias, Aunt Althea, and my cousin’s, Doltyn and the one in your arms is Karla.” “She’s your cousin? He asked wide eyed. “Yep,” Storm said popping the P. Silas shook his head, pulling his head from Karla’s hair. “My apologies,” he told them, “I’m Silas Cooper SilverMoon, pack Beta.” “Yes, Storm has told us. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Althea greeted back as Tobias and Doltyn sized up Silas. Althea rolled her eyes and Karla grumbled. “He’s my fated mate, quit eye balling him.” Karla snorted at her dad and brother. “Silas,” Tobias nodded. “Don’t mind him.” Doltyn chuckled. “She’s his princess. I understand.” Silas responded. “I will treat her with the respect she deserves, and I will love her with every fiber of my being. She will be my Queen.” He gazed affectionately at Karla, making her blush. “Uh, hey! Hello!” Summer called out. “Mom’s ready for us to eat.” She said eyeing Silas and the female in his arms. Silas, will you let that poor girl go! You’re going to get your nasty cooties all over her. She scolded him. “That’s disgusting.” She scrunched her nose at him. “Now let her go.” She told him putting her hands on her hip.

“Hell no!” He growled at her. He looked at Karla. “Karla this is my pain in the ass twin sister, Summer Rea.” “Summer this Karla Hawk, Storm’s cousin, and MY mate.” He grinned widely. “Karla, I’m so sorry the Goddess paired you with my dumbass twin.” She laughed and Karla lightly laughed. “See, even his own twin sister agrees that he is a dumbass.” Blasé chimed in. Storm’s family laughed. “They sound like the two of you.” Althea chuckled. As Silas and Summer were in a stare off. “I’m not gonna flinch, you may as well give up. You know you never win.” She narrowed her eyes at her brother. Blasé huffed, “okay, you two that’s enough or do you want me to tell mom?” “Fine,” they both snickered. Summer hugged Silas. “I’m happy for you dumbass. Karla, you, me, Storm, Marcy, and Megan will need to have a girl’s night tomorrow. I can tell you all of my dumbass twin’s secrets,” she whispered as she guided Karla to the pack house. “Excuse me but you need to go tend to your mate and give me mine back.” Silas told his sister as he pulled Karla back into his arms. Summer crossed her arms over her chest. “No! I’m still mad at him.” She huffs, this family huffs a lot. “You should really give him a chance.” Alex suggested. “He’s been working hard to prove himself to you.” “I don’t want to talk about this!” She growled, huffing and growling are favorite things of this family. “Tonight, is about Storm and her family, not me and my jackass mate. What did I do now?” Zack sighed. “I don’t know, you tell me, guilty conscience?” Summer snapped. “I have no idea what I did but I’m sorry.” He told her with a sad smile. Summer was being so hard on him; he’s made some mistakes, but he really does love her.

Grace cleared her throat getting Summer’s attention. “This is not the way we behave in front of guests.” Grace calmly reminded her daughter. “My apologies.” Summer sighed. “Can we just focus on Storm and her family?” She asked. With that they all took their seats. River bounced to Marco and sat in his lap. Storm helped Ryder to his booster seat. “Uuhhh, where is Rebel?” Storm asked looking around. “Rebel! Get back over here!” They heard Megan yell out. “He’s in his pup form again.” She called out. Storm chuckled shaking her head, “Silas can you get him some shorts and a shirt, please?” Silas nodded and went upstairs. Next thing a ball of black fur darted around the table, nipping his grandpa’s feet. “Rebel, we have guests.” Alex started to reach down to pick him up by the scruff. Rebel playfully growled and darted out of reach. He didn’t realize that his Uncle Tobias was behind him and scooped him up. Rebel let a small growl. “Hey young man!” Storm raised her eyebrow at him. “You don’t growl at your uncle or any of us.” She scolded him. “Rebel, where are you?” Megan called out. “He’s in here with us.” Marco called back. Doltyn raised his nose and sniffed the air. “She’s here,” he whispered and smiled. “Who’s here son?” Althea asked. “My mate.” He looked around the room making eye contact with the females around the room. “Where is she.” He mumbled to himself looking around the room.

“Rebel don’t y…” Megan started to say but stopped as she lifted her nose. “Mate,” she whispered as she scanned the room. Doltyn and Megan made eye contact. “Well, this is interesting.” Blasé chuckled. Doltyn wasted no time in wrapping Megan in his arms. “MINE,” they both said smiling at each other. “Doltyn, this Megan Skye SilverMoon. Megan, this is my cousin and future Alpha Doltyn Raz Hawk. Megan is one of the guards for the triplets.” Storm introduced. The smile on Megan’s face dropped. “Megan don’t worry. This is a happy time.” Marco told her. “I’m sorry.” She looked at Doltyn. “I can’t leave them.” She whispered. “They need me, they are still very young. I can’t be with you.” She turned to leave but Marco stopped her. “Megan, they will be fine. We will be fine. We will miss you, but we want you to be happy.” Marco assured his sister. “You can even pick who will care for them. We can talk about it tomorrow. We have a lot to celebrate tonight.” Alex cheered. “Everyone, let us welcome Luna Storm’s family, Alpha Tobias, Luna Althea, their son, and future Alpha Doltyn who is mated to our very own Megan and daughter, Karla who is mated to our pack Beta, Silas SilverMoon.” The pack cheered and howled to welcome their new family members and allies. “Take your seats and let’s eat.” Alex bellowed.

They celebrated until the wee hours of the morning, by the time they went to bed it was time to get up. They did get up a little late but were still going on a few hours of sleep. “Mama,” Storm heard her sweet little princess. “Mama,” River poked her cheek, “Webel is puppy again.” Storm groaned. “I’ll go get him.” Blasé snickered as he got out of bed. “Rebel, get your furry little butt over here.” Storm heard Blasé call out then a little howl followed by growls and the tippy tap of little nails scurrying across the floor. Ryder came running into his parent’s room and jumped on his mom. Ryder and River started a tickle war with Storm. She could hear Blasé, Marco, Silas and a few others still chasing down Rebel. Now that he could shift, she knew he was going to spend the majority of his time in his wolf form.

“Stormie, you awake. Yeah, c’mon in.” She replied. “Good morning.” Althea greeted followed by Karla and Summer. They were laughing at the rucks Rebel was causing. “He certainly is a handful.” Aunt Althea commented. “You have no idea.” Summer continued to laugh. “What am I supposed to do with him?” Storm sighed as she watched River and Ryder rolling around on the floor. “You may need to allow Blasé to up his training in human and wolf form.” Althea suggested. “He looks to be a very strong future Alpha. I really think that Brandon is their father.” She told Storm. “Their traits are Alpha traits, especially Rebel. I have no doubt about that,” Blasé said walking in carrying Rebel upside down in human form, by his little feet. “Dada, stop twicwling my feet.” Rebel laughed as Blasé nipped his feet. “Mama hewp.” Blasé tossed him on the bed next to Storm who continued to tickle him. “You’re driving everyone crazy with all your shifting,” she told him. “But I wike my wolfie.” “I know but you’re also a little boy,” Summer said ruffling his hair. “And you also need to be a little boy.” “Tell ya what…” Blasé started kneeling down in front of Rebel ”…we will have time every day for the three of you to shift into your wolf so you can train and play.” Rebel shuffled side to side next to his mom. “Otway, you pwromis?” “Yes, I promise.” Blasé lightly tickled him. “C’mon, let’s get you ready for breakfast.” Summer motioned to them. “Go on.” Storm told them. “We will be down also and please behave yourselves.” “Yes, Mama,” they kissed her cheek and followed Summer to their room.

Storm and Blasé made their way to the dining hall laughing at Rebel’s antics. “You know, he’s going to be in pup form all the time.” Storm sighed. “We will need to train him to control his wolf.” Blasé started, “he’s very young, it’s very rare for a pup his age to shift. I’m not sure how to go about it with someone his age.” “Blasé, if it’s okay, after breakfast we can take the three of them to the training grounds and help you start training them.” Tobias offered. “Between all of us, we should, hopefully, be able to help all of them. Plus, it will give us a chance to spend more time with them and Storm.” Althea said smiling at Storm. “Mama, I hungwie.” Ryder pouted. Blasé leaned down and picked him up. “Well, let’s get this little wolf some food before he passes out from hunger.” He said rubbing Ryder’s tummy. Marco walked in with River on his shoulders followed by Megan and Doltyn dragging Rebel by his feet laughing. Karla and Silas walked in behind them. “Rebel reminds me of Doltyn at the same age.” Althea chuckled. “He was and still is a rough and tough male.” She said watching Doltyn with his little cousin. “I think Doltyn is the perfect one to help teach him to control himself and his wolf.” Tobias suggested.

“Uncle Tobi, we wouldn’t want to keep him from his duties.” Storm said watching her oldest pup. “Not to worry, I can spare him for a few months. Besides, it’ll do him good to learn from another Alpha as well.” Doltyn walked over to the table with Rebel hanging over his shoulder’s. “Yeah, gives us a chance to catch up and maybe also try and track down that Walters as…poopy head.” He quickly corrected himself in front of Rebel. “He has a lot to answer for. Plus, it’ll give me and Megan time to get to know each other.” He kissed her temple and Rebel crawled over to Megan wrapping himself around her and playfully growled at Doltyn. “MINE.” Rebel grumbled sticking his tongue out at Doltyn. Doltyn smirked at Rebel, “she’s mine little man.” He tickled Rebel. “Nuh uh, she mine.” He said burying his face in Megan’s neck. “Hey, it’s okay buddy.” Doltyn rubbed Rebel’s back. “Tell ya what, we can share her.” “Otway,” Rebel sighed and nodded. “Every she-wolf’s dream, being fought over by two handsome wolves.” She fanned herself with her free hand and batted her eyelashes at Rebel making him laugh.

After breakfast, Blasé took his little family to the private training area he had prepared for their training. “Okay, let’s get started.” Tobias smiled. “What we gonna do, Uncwl?” Ryder asked. “Well, we are going to teach you, your brother, sister and mom how to control your wolf.” “Hmmffppp…” Storm’s wolf, Lylah, snorted, “I don’t think Lylah is very happy about that.” Storm giggled. “Why not?” Blasé asked with a frown. Storm’s eyes changed color from her normal hazel to glowing gold. “I do not need to be controlled.” Lylah huffed. “Storm will always have control unless there is danger to her or our pups. I will only surface when necessary. I have better control than you, my mate.” Lylah smirked at Blasé. “Oh really?” Blasé raised his eyebrow at her. “Is that a challenge?” He asked with a sexy smirk. “You will find out later.” Lylah narrowed her eyes with a grin. “Okay, you two. We have three little ones waiting.” Alex interrupted. Blasé looked at his babies, the boys were rolling around with Silas, Doltyn and Marco, while River was playing with Karla and Megan. “Yes, come here pups.” Lylah called. “Mama?” Rebel asked titling his head with a small frown. “I am your mama’s wolf.” She smiled at him. “Mama wolf?” River looked up at Lylah. Lylah’s eyes softened. “Yes, my princess.” She said picking up River in her arms and nuzzled her hair. “Boys,” Lylah called them over, “you pups will no longer allow your wolf to control when you shift.” She told them in a firm but gently voice. “You are in charge, you are the boss of your wolf, your wolf is not in charge of you.” She explained. “But wolf want to play.” Rebel whispered. Lylah knelt down and caressed Rebel’s cheek. “I know but you need to let him know that you are in charge, that you are the one who decides when it’s okay for him to come out and play. You tell him when he can come out.” “But he no listen to me.” Rebel told her. “I tell him no, but he still come out.” He looked down at his feet as he toed the dirt. “Well, you need to be strong and tell him no. If you need to say it out loud, then say it out loud. You can call me, dad, Nana, Poppy or anyone for help and we can help you control him. You can do this.” Lylah assured him. “We will help you son.” Asher surfaced and told his little male. “We will help the three of you. We are always here for you. We are all here to help you.” Alex said as their family nodded in agreement.

“So, let’s start with you shifting to your wolf and then shifting back to being little boys and girl.” Lylah told them. Even though Lylah was the one speaking, Storm was at the surface, watching and listening. It was weird for her, but she let Lylah take the lead. When the pups shifted, Lylah gave Storm control. Rebel, Ryder, and River shifted into their wolf pups. They played for a few minutes, running around, nipping their family on their shoes and the boys learned how to dig holes. What joy, they were going to have to keep an eye on that, they couldn’t let them dig to many holes around the area, someone might hurt themselves if the hole is deep enough. “Silas! You need to stop teaching them this stuff.” Summer whisper yelled. “What? They need to lean this stuff and who better than their dear ole Uncle Silas to teach them.” He grinned widely. Storm rolled her eyes at him. “Okay, c’mon, it’s time to shift back.” Storm called them. “Remember, you are in charge. You tell them what to do.” She reminded them. Ryder and River had no problem shifting but Rebel’s wolf was still running around. “Rebel come here.” Blasé said using his Alpha tone. Rebel’s wolf slowly walked over to his parents. “Rebel take control and tell your wolf to shift.” They watched as Rebel struggled to control his wolf. He finally shifted after about twenty minutes. “You listen to me.” He growled. “I tell you when you play.” He growled as he sat on the ground panting. River and Ryder sat down next to him; River nuzzled into his neck. “You otway?” Ryder asked. Rebel nodded yes. “I tink he listen now.” He looked up at Storm and Blasé. “That’s good son.” Blasé praised him. “Is he mad at you?” He chuckled. “Yesh,” he said, “but I tell him we play more tomorrow.” He smiled up at his dad. “Very good.” Storm hugged him. When she releases him the rest of the family congratulates him on gaining control of his wolf. “We are so proud of you.” Grace hugs her three grandpups. “Are you hungry?” She asked. Ryder’s little face lit up. “Yesh, Nana. I hungwie.” He rubbed his tummy. “Then come along, let’s get you some lunch.” She led them to the pack house. “He loves to eat.” Blasé snickered. “He’s a growing boy.” Althea smiled.

After lunch they spent the rest of the day relaxing and connecting with Storm’s family. Megan and Doltyn spent their time talking. Megan was still reluctant about becoming Doltyn’s Luna. Karla was already settling in as the soon to be Beta female. Silas was rolling around the floor with boys and River was perched on Marco’s lap while he read her a book. “She’s his mate?” Althea asked with a smile. “Yes.” Storm looked over at her little princess, who was now cuddling into Marco’s arms and was falling asleep in his arms. “Could I leave her with you?” Marco asked as he watched as the boys ran outside followed by Silas. “Here, I’ll take her.” Althea offer holding her arms out. He cautiously looked at his mother-in-law to be, who nodded okay. He placed his little mate in her aunt’s arms. He whispered in her ear. “I will be right outside. I’m going to check on your brother’s.” She sleepily smiled at him, kissed his cheek said “otway” and snuggled against her aunt…sister, well in Cra’s arms, Marco smiled and kissed the top of her head. He looked a little worried. “Marco she will be fine.” Storm assured him. He bowed and went outside. “He’s so protective of her. That is so sweet.” Karla cooed. Storm smiled. “He has such concern for her.” “She has to consent to him leaving her side, otherwise she pouts and is restless.” Storm chuckled. “It took us a little while to realize that’s what was going on. He would be up and at training before she would wake up and wake up in terror, so he would have to wait for her to wake up and even then, she would demand to go with him.” Storm explained. “Once we figured out, he needed to tell her where he would be and how long he would be gone, her temperament changed and was calmer when he was away from her.” She said gently caressing River’s cheek. “So young and she’s already drawn to him.” Althea cooed as she nuzzled River. “We still need to tell her that he needs to be gone for several months for Gamma training.” Storm sighed. “She’s going to be one pissed off little she-wolf.” Summer lightly snorted.

Storm and her family enjoyed their quiet day that continued into dinner time. At least until it was bedtime for the pups.
