What the Hell

Eli was watching her, still in his wolf form, wondering how to cover her up out here. He ran back to the shed and grabbed an old beach towel and brought it back to her. It took him two minutes but it felt like an hour to him, knowing she was out in the woods naked where anyone could see her. Once he got close enough she could see him, he slowed, not wanting to frighten her more and trigger another phase.

Violet heard his breathing long before she could see the wolf coming toward her. She scooted back trying to cover herself as much as possible. “Don’t look damn it! stay back!” She said with a snarl. The last thing she wanted was for him to see her like this. This was her body no one gets to see what she doesn’t want them to see. She looked over and saw a towel hanging from the wolf's mouth. His eyes were closed. This brought a smile to her face. That’s right, don't look. “Can you toss it to me please!” She said with urgency.

Eli kept his eyes closed even though Elis was shouting at him to look. Keep it down Elis she doesn’t need us lusting over her right now! This pissed Elis off but he stopped with a small whimper. It was wolf nature trying to take over; it wasn't really his fault. You see once you find your mate you want them with every fiber of your being. You would do anything for them and to them. Eli still couldn’t believe she was his mate. A newbie princess, who has no idea what she was in for. He heard her ask for the towel and tossed his head in her direction.

Violet watched the wolf stand there now that she was calm she took the time to admire how beautiful he was. He was about the size of a small bear but for some reason seemed vulnerable to her. His gold fur looked so full and shiny she wanted to lay her face in it. He is ours isn’t he amazing! Lettie said with a hint of passion behind her voice.

You're still here? Why do you keep saying he is ours? Violet was getting annoyed by this new voice inside her head, yet seemed to feel like she has known it all her life.

You can’t get rid of me. I am a part of you. I don’t know what I mean by he is ours I just know that he is ours. He is something I want more than anything ever. Lettie said with an air of confidence that Violet envied.

“You can open your eyes now.” Violet said shyly. Why do I feel embarrassed all of a sudden? Violet thought to herself.

Eli opened his eyes but still avoided looking at her in just a towel. The thought shot need through him. He shook his head “get a grip you stupid wolf” Eli said to himself. Eli decided phasing back was probably the best thing to do. He went over to one of his many hiding spots where he kept spare clothing for himself and hid. He phased back, put on the black basketball shorts and walked out. “You okay?” He said cautiously.

Violet looked up, and was surprised by his shirtless body coming out from behind a tree. She took a deep breath of air trying to figure out how to speak again. “What the hell happened and who are you?” is what came out.

“Violet, I think it is best I take you back to the cabin to explain.” Eli said softly not wanting to upset her again. It has already been a rough day. He better not make it worse. He kept his space with his hands out.

“Not until you tell me who you are. Otherwise I am not going anywhere with you!”

Damn she is strong willed Eli thought, "that’s sexy in a mate" Elis panted. "I am Eli. I thought we went over this already back at the cabin.” Eli replayed faining annoyance.

“No, who are you?!? Or better yet what are you?” Violet spat back. She did not have the patience for his games. She looked down and saw she was trembling again. Eli noticed this and put his hands up in surrender.

“I am Eli Bennet. Descendant of Beta Christoph Bennet of Pack Blue Lake and I think you need to take a deep breath so you are completely in control.” He stood a little taller; he has always been proud of his father and his service to the deceased Alpha Hazel may she rest in peace.

“What.” Violet said so softly she thought he probably wouldn’t hear her. But he looked her straight in the eyes and smiled. She took a deep breath and tried to mask the panic she felt inside.

“Can we go now so you can get dressed?” He said with a smirk on his face. Violet blushed and grabbed ahold of the towel tighter just to make sure. She glared at him and started walking. “You’re going the wrong way.” He laughed. Violet turned around haughtily with her nose up, and walked past him. “Maybe I should lead.” Eli jogged a head giving her the space she obviously needed.

What is happening? He is Eli, descendent of Beta Christoph of the Blue Lake Pack. What does that even mean? Violet was so lost in her head that she didn’t see the log in front of her. She ran right into it and fell forward. Eli turned around just in time to grab her arm and save her from face planting. Tingles went up and down her arm like little sparks igniting from their touch. Why does that keep happening? She thought as she quickly stood up and murmured thanks. Finally they were back behind Eli’s house.

“Would you like a shirt to put on before you go to the cabin?” he asked innocently.

“That would be very nice, thank you.” She said looking down suddenly very aware of the fact she was still only in a towel. Eli opened the back door of the house and yelled Alex close your eyes.

“Why bro you forget your clothes again?” Alex yelled as he turned the corner and saw Violet coming into the house in a towel. He turned around at the quiet growl coming from his brother. “Sorry” he whispered.

Eli found a large shirt, gave it to Violet and left her alone so she could change. Once he shut the door Violet felt overwhelmed by everything that had happened today. First she is back at the Cabin alone. She had a panic attack and passed out, found that all her Aunt and Uncle's belongings had been purged and then turned into a wolf. She didn’t realize she had started crying until she felt the drops on her hands. Great, now I am crying, she thought. Taking a deep breath she gathered herself and put on the shirt, exited the room and walked out the door without another word.
