Chapter 1
Maddison
And there I was, walking to the place that would change my life. How did I end up here?
The story before this moment is simple; I wanted a job.
I'm a twenty-two-year-old college student who doesn't like to depend on men, that includes my father. I needed a job, and I got it.
In an unusual way, of course.
But the worst came later. Knowing that my boss and the owner of my sexual fantasies was friends with my dad was... shocking.
I kept thinking, "How will my father react?" or "What will people say?"
Being with Massimo was incredible, however, I knew it was wrong and could be dangerous for me.
I was in constant contradiction, but at the end of the day my desires decided for me, and they always wanted to be with him.
Would there be consequences for this dangerous love?
*Probably yes.
"I need to find a job; I don't want to live in dormitories anymore.
My father listens intently over the phone. "I can help you with that," he says.
My father knows I don't want his help, but he keeps remembering it.
"I know, Dad, but let me figure out my life, okay?"
"I'm just saying." He laughs.
"Thank you. I must go, I have classes. See you tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow I'll have dinner with an old friend, will you come?"
"Sure, I'm not going to waste the only day I can see you because of that. "I answer. "It's a special occasion.
I understand what he means; I must be dressed elegantly.
"Okay. I love you" I say as I hang up.
Thanks to college I'm busy almost all week, I only have time to see him once in those seven days.
Sigh.
If I get a job, I probably won't even be able to see it.
Everything is for independence.
A knock on the door takes me out of my thoughts.
"Hurry up Maddi, we're late!" They shout on the other side of the door.
My friend Hanna is impatient and hates being late for class.
I grab my things and run out of the room.
"Calm down, we have time. "
She snorts and takes me by the hand.
We walk fast to the classroom and in less than ten minutes my day as a business administration student begins.
The time passes between classes and in the blink of an eye part of the day is over.
I barely have time to eat, because at the end of my meal, I go out in search of a job. Student loans are running out and I need to resolve my situation.
I heard of some companies looking for an apprentice and my idea is to opt for one of those jobs.
I have a small list in my hands. I cross out the name of every company I go to and get rejected.
Why is it so difficult to find an apprenticeship?
Frustrated, I arrive at the last company I have on the list and am surprised to see five more women.
"Hello," I say as I approach.
They all look me up and down in a contemptuous way. I don't understand why I reject her until I see her clothes.
They all have sexy and tight clothes while I... I only wear a jean that fits me big and a Cardigan.
Damn.
"Are you here for work?"
A tall woman with black hair and incredibly blue eyes approaches me.
Intimidated by so much beauty, I just move my head up and down.
I'm starting to wonder what the hell I'm doing here.
"Do they all come for work?" I ask really scared.
From the face of each of them, I confirm that indeed they all come for the apprenticeship.
I back away with the intention of leaving the place, but when I take three steps a large and muscular man collides with me.
"Take a good look where you're walking," I say.
The man is on his back and when I turn, I am speechless.
Is... He's handsome.
The stranger looks me up and down analyzing every inch of my body.
"For being young you are very disrespectful," He says, running his tongue over his lips.
His blue eyes attract me and just seeing his beard tickles me areas never explored before.
He's older, but in good shape. He has a very marked jaw, and his black suit makes him look sexier.
"You were the one who collided with me," I respond defiantly.
The man stares at my lips for a few seconds. Then, he slightly shakes his head with a smile.
"Then I offer you an apology. "
He holds out his hand to me and without thinking I take it.
His grip is strong, and he refuses to let go.
Some electricity passes through my body as we look at each other for about a minute. Only the voice of a young woman my age interrupts us.
"Sir, your meeting," she says.
The man makes a gesture of annoyance but separates himself from me.
"Good afternoon," he says before leaving.
I watch him go. My gaze travels to his ass until the man disappears.
Who was that Greek God?
I'm so surprised that I didn't see where he went.
"Good morning to all, at this time the interview for the apprenticeship work will begin. Please stop inside and wait your turn. "
A woman in her thirties welcomes us to the company and passes us to the lobby where each one writes down our name and waits our turn.
I look at the place. It is imposing, large, professional. The name glitters outside the building. It is impossible not to see the name of Art Works. Inc. just outside the place.
After five minutes the same woman from a few moments ago calls each applicant.
I wait patiently for my turn as I think of that strange man. His elegance captivated me, his smell lingered in my hand and his voice still echoes in my mind.
"Maddison Becker," says the lady.
I get up quickly, dry my hands in my pants and try to fix my hair.
I need this to go well.
I go into the office and the first thing I notice are the personal recognitions hanging on the wall. That's too many awards and recognition.
"What a surprise," I hear he say.
No way.
That voice.
"What are you doing here?" "I ask in surprise.
It's the same man who bumped into me at the entrance.
The same man who made me fantasize.
The only one, in fact.
He gets up from his seat and walks straight towards me.
"I'm the boss," he says.
I have no choice but to take a few steps back until I hit the wall.
The boss?
That is, if I get the job, do I have to be around it every day?
"Oh, I... I'm so sorry, I didn't want to treat him badly. I didn't know... "
"I'll just ask you one question; Do you want the job? "
He stares at my lips.
"Yes," I reply.
He smiles and touches my cheek with his hand.
"You're hired. From now on, you will be at my disposal every day.
