Chapter 15

Following the sound, I saw Kenneth's car. He hadn't turned on the headlights and was sitting quietly in the back seat, looking somewhat gloomy. As soon as I saw him, he lifted his eyes and saw me too. I felt a mix of emotions and hurriedly ran over.

"Waiting for me?" I opened the car door and got in.

He didn't say anything, and even moved slightly to the other side, his face turned towards the window. The driver slowly made his way home in the car. No matter what I said along the way, he ignored me.

"Why did you come home early? Are you done with work?"

He ignored me.

"Are you tired? Shall I give you a shoulder massage when we get home?"

He ignored me.

"By the way, you called and said you wanted to talk to me. What did you want to talk about?"

He still ignored me.

"Kenneth, I'm cold," I pouted.

He didn't turn around, he just rolled up his window a bit.

"Kenneth, I want your jacket," I gently pulled on his sleeve.

"Forget it," he finally spat out two words.

"I'll catch a cold," I said sadly.

He finally ran out of patience and ordered the driver, "Increase the temperature of the heat."

Ugh, heartless. It was like this the whole way, and I lost patience trying to appease him. When we got home, he went to his room as if it was second nature. Just as I was about to go in, he turned around and told me, "Get out."

"We're married," I protested.

"When you were cuddling with your ‘lover’ just now, did you remember that we were married?" he retorted.

"You're such an intelligent person, can't you see that was a misunderstanding?" I sighed.

Kenneth isn't that foolish, right?

"A misunderstanding?" He threw his jacket on the ground. "He said he loves you and wants you to divorce me and reconcile with him. I'm not deaf."

"He was hugging you, and you didn't push him away. Are you telling me that's a misunderstanding?"

He completely lost it, forcing me against the wall, raising my hands above my head, and leaning down to kiss me. It was too intense, and I felt suffocated. He was going insane. I desperately pushed him away, but I couldn't budge him. In the end, I bit him. Maybe because it hurt, he finally let go.

"What about you and Katie?" I asked him with a smile.

"If she asked you to divorce me, what would you do?"

He hesitated for a moment and then said despondently, "She's different."

"Oh? How is she different?"

"I never talked to her!"

"Did you not have a chance to talk, or did you not want to talk?"

He didn't answer, just staring deeply at me. After a while, he let go of me.

"Can you stop being so unreasonable? You wanted to get married, and you wanted to be in love."

Now he's playing the victim? Go away, playboy.

"I don't want to make love now,"

I threw these words and turned back to my own room.
