Chapter 18

I tried pushing him away. Ignoring the gardener, Wang, who walked past us, he simply leaned his body slightly to block my face.

"Back already!" Wang greeted him.

"Yeah, Wang, are you watering the plants?" He greeted naturally.

"Then, you go ahead with your business."

"Yeah."

Seeing the look Wang gave me, I felt extremely embarrassed, but Kenneth shamelessly held onto me.

"What are you afraid of? Don't you always want over-the-top public displays of affection?" He laughed at me.

"I'm not afraid of anything." I refused to admit defeat. "Unlike someone, who spends the whole night questioning whether it's bad for their body."

He froze in place, his ears turning red.

"Grace, that's something I've never..." He sounded slightly annoyed. "How long are you going to mock me?"

I quickly pushed him away and created some distance.

"I'm not mocking you, I'm just stating the facts."

After saying that, I slipped back into the room, but to my surprise, he followed me in. I sat on the sofa playing with my phone while he casually picked up a book to read. We didn't bother each other. This was his childhood room. Since I came to his grandfather's house, I had been staying in his room. But I didn't have a habit of prying into other people's privacy, and I didn't like reading books. I never touched his things.

"Can't you go outside to read?"

I was a bit speechless.

He was here, yet I couldn't even play on my phone peacefully. He didn't even lift his head and lightly said, "This is my room."

"It's your room, but don't you think it's easy to be misunderstood if we stay in the room all day long during broad daylight?"

"Misunderstood about what?" He switched to another book and continued reading, looking extremely relaxed in his home clothes.

"What do you mean misunderstood?"

I was speechless. Outside the door, occasionally, I could hear the voices of his grandfather and other people. I held my breath and didn't dare to make a sound, afraid of being misunderstood by others. But he, on the other hand, seemed to be afraid of not being misunderstood. Finally, he put down the book, looked up at me, and stared at me for a solid half minute. Still, he didn't say a word.

Forget it, I didn't want to waste my time talking to him. I decided to go out by myself, holding my phone. But when I walked beside him, my feet stumbled, and I fell onto him. His face turned serious, and he frowned in pain,

"Are you trying to confirm this misunderstanding?"

I immediately pushed myself away from him.

"I misspoke!" I explained.

"Did you slip, or do you have the intention but not the courage?" He shook his head, picked up the book, and continued reading. "I just came back and I'm tired, I'll be late."

I was going crazy. Did he really see me as some kind of pervert? Am I that kind of person?

I thought about how to turn the situation around.

"In porn movies, the male lead goes for three days and three nights...you should really watch that."

After saying that, I looked up, turned around, and walked away. However, my hand was grabbed. The next second, I found myself sitting on his lap. I was about to say something when he said,

"Don't try to provoke me, I'm not falling for it."

He stared at me with his beautiful eyes. Looking at his lips so close to me, there were only two words in my mind, "Bite it." Then I tilted my head back and kissed him on the lips.

"What about this?" I smiled at him.

He froze for a moment, and a mist gradually formed in his eyes.

"What are you trying to do?"

He turned his head away, avoiding me. So cold? Forget it.

"What do you think I can do? It's broad daylight." I stood up and prepared to leave.

He looked up at me, "Grace, do you think I don't have the strength...don't worry, I have more than enough to handle you."

"I believe you, I really do." I couldn't be bothered to argue with him.

"You really..." He threw the book away.

The next second, darkness covered my vision. I was being kissed. My brain froze.

After a few seconds, he let go of me and smiled at me,

"Now, do you still want to continue?"

My heart was pounding chaotically, driving me crazy.

"No...no more." I hurriedly tried to escape.

Now things were getting out of hand.

"You say one thing, but mean another." He kissed me again. Just when my mind was in a confused mess, I heard a sound. The door was pushed open.

"Auntie, where's the Ultraman toy you bought for me?"

A little kid ran in, ready to jump into my arms. Seeing me and Kenneth kissing, he stared at us with round eyes, looking thoughtful. It was Kenneth's cousin's son, little Dolly. In an instant, I and Kenneth jumped apart.

"Um, Dolly, why don't you go downstairs and watch TV on the sofa?

"Look, it should be over there." I regulated my breathing and tried to maintain a smile.

"Oh." Dolly looked at Kenneth and said, "Uncle, are you guys fighting? Don't bully Aunt."

"No." Kenneth was somewhat speechless and laughed. "You...go outside."

"Oh." Dolly hung her head and walked out with a puzzled expression.
