Chapter 6

I looked towards the sound and in the darkness, there was a person sitting on the sofa, staring at me intently. Kenneth? My heart skipped a beat. I told myself not to panic, but my hands couldn't help shaking when removing my shoes. Because of my unstable balance, I fell onto his leg when I tried to walk over to apologize. It can be said that the image I carefully crafted as a virtuous, elegant, and noble lady was completely destroyed tonight. He looked down at me with disgust and said,

"Grace, when you married into this family, your father said you were gentle, generous, and virtuous." He glanced at the watch on his wrist, "Is a virtuous person supposed to go clubbing at a bar until five in the morning?"

I told him to stop talking. "What right do you have to judge me?" I suddenly burst into tears, "You also went out with that seductive woman and only just came back now."

I didn't expect to cry, and he was about to scold me a few words, but suddenly stopped talking. Since I was acting, I simply climbed onto him and started crying loudly.

"Get off me," he reprimanded me in a low voice.

But I refused, and even grabbed his neck.

"Do you know how miserable I am watching you like her every day?"

"Do you know how scared I am sleeping alone in such a big house every night?"

He was completely overwhelmed by what I was saying, afraid that I would do something crazier, so he stretched his neck away to avoid my mouth.

"I think, you are scarier now." He reached out to block me, and then freed up one hand to hold down my restless hand.

"Am I scary? Don't you like me?" "You really don't like me..."

I acted too realistically, even my snot came out, and I simply wiped it all on him. He had a cleanliness obsession, and his face turned terrifyingly dark. Just then, my phone suddenly rang.

The ringtone was too abrupt, and he impatiently picked it up.

"Hello, did you make it home? You didn't reply to my message, I was a little worried."

The man's voice echoed in the silent living room. Kenneth's expression was already at its worst.

It was the man who had just escorted me back. Damn!

I completely panicked. Seeing Kenneth starting to get angry and about to reprimand us. I lost my mind and kissed him directly. He probably hadn't expected it, and didn't even have time to push me away. I fiercely bit him, and in the end, he even gave up resisting.

"Ouch!," he rubbed the back of his head and pushed me away.

There was a faint salty taste in his mouth - it seemed like I bit him hard enough to draw blood.

"Go take a shower."

He stood up and carried me to the bathroom.

"If you try to go out and get drunk like this again, I will..."

Before he could finish his sentence, I vomited into his arms. It was obvious that he was devastated, because later on, he had the aunt throw away all of his clothes. He stood at the doorway, stared at me for a moment, and closed the door. I stood alone in the bathroom, my heart beating so fast that I could hear my own rapid heartbeat.
