Gustav

He sat across the woman, her hair a mess and she still out cold. When Meredith Gomez was brought in, his men wore silly grins on their faces. Gustav knew what they had in mind that’s why he had it arranged to take the unconscious woman into his office. Rather than the basement of his brownstone residence.

In his study, she is safe from traveling hands. Unlike him, his comrades have no control over women. Especially, sleeping and young and fresh ones. Meredith Gomez fits every description and if he agreed to keep her below, all his plans would go down the drain.

“Sir, you sure you don’t want to have a little taste? She’s a tasty bitch, I can tell.” One of his men leaned forward to whisper to his ear. The eagerness in his voice matches the bulge that he was trying to calm down since Meredith arrived. “You can go first and we can have the spoils.”

Gustav moved his pointer finger from his lips to his temples. There were a total of five men inside his study, usually, it’s just him and Gregor. Gregor is the man he asked to retrieve Meredith because years of experience taught him that people like her tend to run away and do exactly what they told them not to do.

Humans are crazy. That’s for sure.

In his sixty years of existence, it was suffice to say that he had seen it all. All the crazies, all the madness, and all the success. He is filthy rich, but he is kept in the shadows. He wanted more. And that is where Meredith and his brother comes in.

“No, leave her alone.” He firmly says. “Go get yourselves women, here’s some cash.”

He hands them wads of money. And the men whistled in bliss. All his men have generic wants in life, booze, women, and money. However, the one man that did not seem to be happy about what was going on is the same man who talked to Gustav first. Gustav knew Aleck, he had a knack for virgins.

For Aleck, virgins are like a potent sort of drug. A fucking high-end commodity, priceless and unparalleled. That is why his expression remained the same, he was watching Meredith. In his mind, he is already fucking her. Gustav did not like how Aleck was behaving. He had to drive him away or else his bait would be a piece of rag if Aleck gets his way on her.

“Thanks, boss!” Two men pipped in unison.

“Aleck, you too.” Gustav reminded him to leave along with his comrades. “Gregor and I will be fine here. Thank you.”

Aleck grinned sinisterly. “Hmm, I know what you two are up to. You want her by yourselves, innit? Tell you what, I can take the spoils. Please?”

Meredith was stirring up. She heard what the men were openly discussing so she ran to the corner of the study and grabbed the iron ornamental vase as her weapon of choice. “Who are you? Where am I? What did you do with me?”

Gregor stood at a ready, same with Aleck whose eyes brightened up when he saw her awake. “Sir, what do you say we knock her off before we play with her?”

She moved father to the corner, eyes searching for a way out. Gustav can see that she’s passably pretty. She needs a little work but she’ll get the job done once the situation is explained to her.

"Gregor, drag Aleck outside if you must."

"What? This isn't fair, boss!" Aleck complained as soon as Gregor approaches him with a menacing look on his face. "I swear, I won't even take the spoils. you can have her just let me have a look at her while you rip her apart."

She whimpered. Gustav nodded at Gregor and like a quarterback in a game, Gregor shoved Aleck outside. Meredith had inched her way to the window. It was locked and secured but Gustav know what she had in mind.

He took a seat to make her feel that she was not getting jumped at. "I am very sorry for Aleck. He can be very spontaneous and out of control Meredith."

"How did you...?" She finally realizes who he was. "You... you took Dixon!" Her bewildered attitude was replaced with seething rage.

Gustav likes what he sees. She's feisty. She could use that attitude for the job he had in mind for her, sure, she needed a little work on finesse and class but first, Meredith had to calm down. He had to lay down his cards on the table for her to see that there was no other way around the situation. In this game, he holds the upperhand.

"Yes. Dixon is fine. he might need a little stitches here and there but he's well and alive."

"S-stitches? What? Why? He's a fucking boy! That is against the law!" She yelled at him. "Where is he? We don't have any money to give you. This is a mistake, sir. Let us go, we will not tell anyone."

Gustav smiled. He had never seen someone who could turn her emotions like a light switch. One moment she's a bitch demanding to see her brother, the next moment she's pleading to set them free. she's perfect for Gustav! he's finally found the right ammunition!

"Sit."

"No." She firmly replied.

"Sit."

"I said no. I'd rather stay here by the windo---"

A smile curved his thick lip. "You think you can jump? That window is sealed shut. And if in case, you manage to jump, you'll fall right into my hounds. Have you seen hounds? They are perfect security dogs. They tear away flesh, piece by piece. You can look to see for yourself."

Meredith seemed to have calmed down. She swallowed hard and stood her ground. "I insist on standing up, what do you want from us?"

"I have an offer for you, Meredith. An offer that you can't refuse."

To Gustav's surprise, Meredith took several steps forward, took the seat adjacent to his and held her chin up high. " Go on. I am listening."
