'Thank you 'Liya said to him .

Liya sat at the back seat with Jude , Jude is busy doing stuff on his laptop , Liya wished Jude would look at her and compliment on her look .

'This is going to be a good journey,I can't wait ,have you been to Tokyo? 'Liya asked Jude who didn't answer but continued typing on his laptop.

'You are busy right? ,uh ,my bad ,I forgot you are going for business purposes' She apologize,Jude completely ignore her.

'But why are you putting on suit?,isn't it too , aren't you hot in it?' Liya asked and as expected Jude remained focused on his laptop.

Liya felt embarrassed, she did a f--k you sign to him.

In thirty minutes, they are in the airport, with passports in hand and hearts filled with excitement, the couple boarded a long-haul flight, prepared to engage themselves in the rich culture and quirky charm of Japan's capital city.

Liya sat in a different seat, she thought she would sit with Jude but she was given another seat number.

She hope Jude would talk to get to her, the flight was boring, liya slept through out the flight. As their plane touched down at Narita Airport, The couples clutched their suitcases and stepped onto the bustling tarmac.

Their first stop was the famous Shibuya Crossing, an iconic junction known for its sea of pedestrians crossing in all directions. Jude and Liya stood on thea street corner, their eyes widening with sheer amazement as the light turned green and the masses surged forward.

Jude made a call and in twenty minutes time, a Bentley drove to them.

A man in black suit came out of the Bentley, bowed to Jude 'Welcome sir , please get in 'He said ushering Jude and Liya to the vehicle.

Jude patted the man back and entered the car,Liya follow suit.

The drive was a long drive, Liya enjoyed it as she going through the beautiful cities in Japan. They eventually stopped at a hotel.

'Natuyro ,one of the five star hotels in Tokyo ' Jude grinned as he come down from the vehicle.

'I guess we are staying here ?'Liya asked Jude but as expected he ignored her .

'Your room is already booked Sir ,VIP room 0001 ' a receptionist said immediately Jude walked into the hotel.

Liya got down from the car ,she is so pissed off with Jude attitude. 'who do he think he is ,huh '.

'I want a separate room 'Jude told the receptionist.

'Why sir ? 'Ahn ,the receptionist asked .

'I said I want a separate room, you dare ask me for a reason? 'Jude flared at him.

'It seems you want to lose your job ' Jude PA, Jean asked.

'I'm sorry sir, I will get you another room immediately 'Ahn went on his knees begging, he is a new employee who just resumed a week ago, he has no idea who Jude is and he doesn't want to lose the job he tried so hard to get.

Ahn immediately ran to the desk, prepared another VIP room for Jude. 'Okay, room 0002 to 3 is taken?, I will go for 0005 then, thanks 'He said hanging up on the telephone.

'We have only room 0005 available Sir '

'Let's head there, pack my stuff from the vehicle to room 0005 ' Jude said to his PA.

'What about your wife? 'Jean asked.

Jude turned to Liya direction 'She is using room 0001 '

'Hello, mr. man, we are married, aren't we suppose to stay in the same room? 'Liya asked.

Jude went to the elevator ignoring Liya as usual, Liya ran to the elevator, she had have enough, why would he disregard her like she doesn't exist.

'I get you married me against your will, you don't love me but please treat me as your wife, you can't ignore me like I'm a nobody! 'Liya yelled at him.

Jude rolled his eyes at Liya and hissed 'Yes, you are a nobody and you are not my wife! Get that straight. You better know your place young lady, even if my mother got us married, you will never have a place in my heart.

'isn't that too much?, do you hate me that much? ' Liya asked with tears.

'Get your luggage and go to 0001, your room, dinner will be at 7pm.' Jude spoke, the elevator beeped and open, Jude left unbothered.

Liya sighed. This will be more difficult than it seems.

Liya traced her room, the room is a big vip room, it has it's own sitting room, kitchen, restroom, dinning room and even a spa room.

'wow! 'Liya exclaimed as she check out her room, there are light balls dangling across the room with different colors, blue, green, white, red, purple, flower vases on the center table in the sitting room.

Liya danced round her room, what's more amazing is her room has a small balcony that link to the rooftop.

Liya threw herself on the bed, feeling frustrated and disappointed. She had taken a quick shower and watched TV, contemplating how to capture Jude's attention and seduce him. But it seemed that Jude was uninterested and continuously avoided being alone in the same room with her, making her efforts even more challenging.

As time ticked by, Liya's thoughts became more clouded with uncertainty. Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door. Surprised, she called out, "Who is it?"

Opening the door, Liya found a staff member from the hotel standing before her. Feeling uneasy, she asked, "How may I help you?"

The hotel staff member smiled politely and said, "Hello ma'am, your husband sent me to inform you that dinner is served downstairs. He has been waiting for the past 10 minutes."

Liya's heart sank with disappointment as she realized that Jude hadn't personally invited her. However, she put on a smile and responded, "Oh, my apologies. Just give me a minute, please."

Rushing to grab her phone from the sofa, Liya realized that she needed to adjust her expectations and find a way to enjoy the evening despite Jude's indifference.

Accompanied by the hotel staff member, Liya made her way downstairs to the VIP garden dining room. As she entered, Liya couldn't help but appreciate the beauty of the surroundings—a serene, exclusive space that was perfect for an intimate dinner.

Finding Jude waiting at a table, Liya could sense his lack of enthusiasm. Trying to remain positive, she approached him and said, "Jude, it's nice to see you here. Thank you for arranging dinner."

Jude acknowledged her with a curt nod and motioned for her to take a seat. Liya took a deep breath, determined to make the best of the situation and enjoy herself despite his disinterest.

Throughout the dinner, Liya made an effort to engage in conversation, hoping to spark a connection or capture Jude's attention. She shared stories, asked him questions, and tried to connect on a deeper level. However, Jude remained distant, giving short and dismissive answers.

Feeling disheartened, Liya decided to shift her focus. She engaged with the surroundings, appreciating the gardens, and struck up conversations with other guests. She realized that her happiness didn't solely rely on a man .

Jude felt a pang of jealousy as he observed Liya interacting with other guests, especially the men. Determined to address his concerns, he mustered a smile and initiated a conversation with her.

"This meal tastes a bit salty to me," Jude said, forcing a smile.

Liya rolled her eyes, appearing disinterested. It seemed she didn't care about his opinion on the food. Feeling disappointed by her reaction, Jude pressed on.

"I'll be leaving early tomorrow for a business meeting. Will you be staying here and enjoying yourself?" he asked.

"Mmm," was all Liya replied, leaving Jude feeling dismissed.

"Mmm?" Jude was taken aback by her dismissive response. He had hoped for more engagement from her, hoping she would express interest in joining him.

Liya spoke, avoiding his gaze, "No, I'd rather stay here, eat, watch TV, and get some sleep than follow you to those boring meetings."

"Ahem," Jude cleared his throat, realizing that his attempts at conversation weren't going as smoothly as he had hoped. He decided to inquire about the man he had noticed Liya talking to.

"What was that man telling you?" Jude asked, gesturing towards the man in the blue tie.

Liya chuckled. "You mean Tommy? He's just a friend from China. I find him funny, that's all," she laughed, seemingly forgetting Jude's presence.

Jude's ego was bruised by Liya's words. The fact that she found another man funny and referred to him as a friend stung him deeply. His mind began to race with thoughts of insecurity, wondering if there was more to their friendship .

A friend? ,what a joke ?
