Chapter 8: IN LOVE

"Yes, our honeymoon." Fred repeated, snaking his arms around Jayda's waist possessively.

"Wow, that just sounds nice." Samantha beamed.

"No, mom. We're definitely not going to some stupid honeymoon." Jayda was making a big deal out of this.

"Stop it. How dare you say something like that?" Samantha scolded.

"You should know that that hurt my feelings a lot." Fred released her waist from his embrace.

"I didn't mean it that way…" she trailed off with a roll of her eyes. She sighed, "I'm sorry."

"Great. We're going to Dubai on Saturday for the first phase of our honeymoon. I promise you'll love it."

"I hope so." She shivered shortly. "Uh...first phase?" She only heard him.

"Yes. We'll go to Dubai then we'll think of somewhere else to go after that, then another, then another. We're going to spend about a month or more for our honeymoon." He said confidently.

"A month?" A line appeared between her eyebrows. "Don't you have work to attend to?"

"That's not a problem. Things will be sorted out, mostly when you have someone like Jeremy as a best friend." He shoved his hands into his pocket with a smirk.

"Thanks a lot, my boy. I was actually thinking about the honeymoon recently but I didn't want to make it seem like I'm poking my nose into your business too much." Samantha confessed.

"I should be expecting a grandchild in less than ten months then." Samantha teased.

"Mom?" Jayda groaned.

"Grumpy drama queen." Fred hissed when they walked into their bedroom, putting on a frown.

Jayda only giggled. She could tell that she had frustrated him pretty well even if it wasn't her intention.

"I already said I'm sorry. What else do you need?" She groaned. Heaven knew how much she hated it when Fred was angry. She liked it when he was trying to gain her attention.

The couple had gone shopping for their honeymoon but she received a call from Dave Wicks, her other best friend other than Freya. Dave had called to let her know that he'd be coming to see her the next week when he arrived, from London.

Jayda missed her 'brother from a different mother' like hell, but because of their honeymoon, she wasn't going to see him and he was going to leave before they arrived.

With that, Jayda kept on venting her frustration at Fred and what they were buying which eventually got him angry.

Fred changed his clothes into a clean red t-shirt and a black short. He applied his hair care products and brushed his strong brown hair.

"Where are you going?" Jayda asked, walking into the room completely.

"I guess that should be none of your business as well," he gave her a gruff response.

"Okay, I'll see you later." She stood on her tip toe then gave him a soft kiss on his cheek.

Fred couldn't help wondering how weird of a woman she was. He mentally assumed that she had some mental issues that caused her mood swings and he was going to take her to a brain doctor.

Jayda had sat down to think of how much she had frustrated Fred. She knew it must've made him feel pretty bad. She didn't know much about Mina but she knew that she was very terrible, it had even been published in the newspapers and magazines; her crazy acts.

Jayda sat to think that Fred needed a really good wife and not the one that frustrated him like she did because he was only recovering from Mina.

It suddenly made her feel like a bad person. She then concluded that she was going to have the best of fun during their honeymoon because if not now, when else?

The only problem was that Fred had been gone since morning and he wasn't back yet. She was feeling kinda lonely and hoped he wasn't going to cancel the honeymoon.

Jeremy was pretty excited about today. The woman he loved like crazy had finally agreed to meet him, for a date.

He felt like he was going to explode in ecstasy. His dream was finally coming true.

As much as he was excited, he was also nervous. He didn't want to mess up so she wasn't going to lose interest in him.

He picked his phone from a table then went straight to call Fred, his best friend.

Fred intentionally didn't pick it on time because he wasn't ready to speak with anyone. He just needed to wash away his anger that was caused by his wife, but then, he just had to answer it.

"Where the hell did you keep your phone?" Jeremy frowned.

"Hey, dude." Fred spoke tiredly.

"Guess what?" Over-excitement was evident in his voice which made Fred smile. He knew that he was in for some good news.

"I'm not guessing so just tell me what it is." He spat.

"First, that's rude. Second, I have a date with the woman of my dreams." He grinned from ear to ear and was pacing around his room's table.

"You have a date? Woah! That's one hell of a good news. You didn't seem like you were going to start a relationship or even like someone." Fred made it sound like he was kidding even though he was totally serious.

"Shut up man and be happy for me." Jeremy was dancing internally then he plopped himself on his bed.

"I'm happy for you." Fred sighed. "Look at me thinking you were going to marry Cora. It's so sad. It'd have been so perfect. You'll then be my brother-in-law."

"What?!" Jeremy screamed then burst into laughter. "Are you crazy? Why'd you expect me to marry your sister. Don't you know how grumpy, cold and rude she is?" He said seriously.

"Your sister is just as cold as you are. I think being frigid runs in your family." Jeremy confessed the thoughts that had been running in his head for years.

"That's a really bad and impolite comment, you know." Fred playfully frowned. "Well, as you can see, I'm no longer as frigid as I used to be because of Jayda. I'm trying my best to be nice and be a loving husband. I want to show every inch of love to her, I don't want my cold attitude to ruin my marriage once more." He confessed.

"I guess so. You've changed a lot. I do remember you a few months ago where you could destroy a nation's life with just one of those glares of yours."

"Great, I'm glad you see the changes too but Jayda," he shook his head, "she's just too annoying and she's now the cold one here."

"Don't worry, man. She'll definitely change and I promise you that your marriage will be the sweetest in the world." Jeremy guaranteed.

"Thanks, brother." Fred was so glad he talked to him. He was starting to lose hope in Jayda and he was glad Jeremy raised his hope again. It was just left to Jayda to think things through to make their marriage work.

Jeremy was still nervous. His date was five minutes late and it made him wonder, 'what if she wasn't coming? What if she felt he wasn't good enough? What if she didn't feel the need to?'

Gosh, how much he hated nervousness.

If only he had listened to the people that warned him to stop being a Playboy, he would've passed this stage a long time ago but here he was, beginning it.

He rubbed his palms together then immediately rose to his feet when the bell that was attached to the private restaurant's door rang, indicating that someone just opened the door.

When his eyes landed on her, he just couldn't take them off her anymore. She looked like the most beautiful woman in the world.

"Hi," Freya waved.

"Hello, I'm so glad you came." He voiced out.

"Of course, I was going to come." She giggled at him.

Jeremy knew that he was definitely crazily in love with Freya.

"I must say, you're very beautiful." He grinned.

"Thank you. You don't look bad either." She poked his chest.

"Thank you." He blushed then pulled out a chair for her to sit before taking his seat.
