Chapter 3

ANGEL SINCLAIR.

My pointed heels rattle on the wooden floor of the staircase. As I descend, I meet a blonde woman with green eyes. She is well-groomed, though she appears to be in my father's age range, but she is nonetheless an intruder here. My eyes scan the room and I don't see the other creature. Won't he join us for dinner? Even better.

"Angel, Madison. Madison, Angel," Dad says, introducing us.

"Pleasure, Angel! I hope you and I can get along very well," she says, welcoming me with a gentle smile on her face.

"Nice to meet you," I reply, not giving her much of a dare, "Can we go?", I ask looking directly at Daddy.

"In a little while we'll be leaving. Bryan had a little problem with his car and is out there trying to fix it."

"What about your car?"

"He makes a point of going in his own car."

I roll my eyes and leave the room, heading to the back of my house. Besides being forced to have dinner with them, I still have to wait for this idiot to fix the car, just because he refuses to go in Dad's car. I can see that I will have to be very patient in the next few days, because I know that it is not going to be easy at all.

I am in a little back room when I hear the door being opened sharply. I get up from the wooden stool I was sitting on with a baseball bat in my hands, ready to hit anyone. The baseball bat automatically falls out of my hand as I come face to face with the most beautiful creature I have ever seen in my entire life. His blond hair falls a little over his forehead. His fleshy mouth seems to call me even closer. And his green eyes locked on mine seem like a light at the end of the tunnel. Not to mention his height, which must be twice as tall as mine. We both snap out of our trance when he takes the initiative to say something.

"I'm not here to steal anything," he says, raising his hands in a sign of surrender, "I'm after some toolbox and I ended up here."

"There is no toolbox here. As you can see, it's just a little room. You can turn around and fix this car now because I can't wait for this damn dinner anymore," I reply, turning around and trying to recover from what just happened a few seconds ago.

"I see you're no angel, just like I thought you were.

"What did you say?", I ask, turning around and looking at him again.

"You look more like a demon than an angel, babe. I think your mother made a mistake when she gave you that name.

"Don't you dare even talk about my mother, you asshole," I say, putting my index finger in his face.

"Get that fucking finger out of my face. Who do you think you are?" he asks, squeezing my finger.

"I'm your fucking stepsister now, and you're moving into my house, so I think it's good to keep it down."

"And you think I want to live here? For me, I'd still be in London living with my mother, until your asshole father came into our lives and planted this idea in our heads”.

"Oh, sure. Of course," I reply, laughing wryly, "As if it wasn't your mother who blindfolded my father to bring you here, with you as a gift.

"I would rather die than live with an insufferable spoiled brat like you.

"And for all I care, you and your little mother would leave this house today, before you have your first night here. You are not welcome here. Quite the contrary, you are intruders!".

"Your father has become a stone in my shoe and I can see that you are going to be the stone in my pillow. I gave up the life I had in London because my mother fell in love with that asshole. From now on, my only fun is going to be making your life hell, blondie," he lets go of my finger and I put it down.

"Try getting in my way to see what I'm capable of."

"I'm not afraid of you at all."

"Least of all me of you."

"It was good to know that you don't like me, that's the only way I'll be able to make you hate me, Angel," he emphasizes my name and walks out of the little room with a smile on his face.

I growl and toss my hair back as a sign of nervousness. He is worse than I imagined, because he is beautiful. He's a son of a bitch, too. He's a beautiful motherfucker. I'm pretty sure he thinks the same about me, but I already hate him. He is a complete asshole.

I am standing in front of my house with my dad and Madison. Bryan has just finished fixing up his car, which is even the latest model of mine. I should have already updated my model, but after seeing that he has a car just like it, I'd rather buy another one. I don't want to have anything in common with this idiot, because the address is enough.

"That's my boy!", Madison says, walking smiling over to Bryan.

I feel my stomach clench at that.

"Angel, why don't you keep Bryan company until the restaurant? Just so you two get to know each other better," my dad suggests.

"What a great idea!", Madison completes.

I'm ready to turn down this ridiculous proposal, but Bryan is quicker and opens his mouth.

"I'd love to meet my new sister!" he grins and I feel like crushing him.

"Perfect, then. We'll meet you there," my dad says, silencing me completely and walking to his car with Madison.

I glare angrily at Bryan and he is laughing as he opens the car door for me. When he sees that my father has just left, he returns to his normal state.

"I don't have all night, little angel. I've even opened the car door for you, do you want me to pick you up?"

"Fuck you, asshole!", I say, getting right into his car.
