Chapter 2: The Truth

"Elio," Julia held on to the last glimmer of hope in her heart. She lifted her head, staring at him intently. "You have concluded that I am the one responsible for everything, that I am guilty, haven't you?"

Elio's eyes turned icy, and he took a step back, indifferently saying to the people behind him, "If you don't want to play, I can find someone else."

With just one sentence, Julia was completely devastated.

She wiped away the tears in her eyes and looked at Elio, her voice hoarse and barely coherent. "Elio, it's over between us."

For a moment, a sharp pain pierced Elio's heart.

It was faint, almost fleeting, but this feeling furrowed his brow and left him restless.

Especially when he saw the emptiness in Julia's eyes, he had a ridiculous feeling that he had made a colossal mistake.

Absolutely ludicrous!

He, Elio, had never made a mistake. Julia, with every step she took to reach this point, deserved every bit of it!

Julia watched helplessly as Elio turned around, gradually disappearing from her line of sight, until she heard the sound of the door being locked.

Elio locked the room. He actually locked her inside.

Julia heard the sound of her heart breaking.

For the first time, she began to question herself. Was she wrong to fall in love with this heartless man? Was she wrong to love a man who couldn't distinguish right from wrong?

The men in the suite glanced at each other, then their eyes fell on the lifeless Julia until the first man lunged at her-

"Get away!" Julia didn't know where she found the strength, as she pushed the man off and immediately curled up in the corner.

She didn't scream, she didn't shout. She knew no one would come to save her, that the man who once gently told her he would love her forever had long disappeared.

"I advise you to behave, don't resist recklessly! Otherwise, you'll regret it!" A malicious voice suddenly rang out.

Julia trembled in fear, clutching herself tightly, and tears uncontrollably streamed down her face. "Please, I beg you, please don't-"

"Don't? It's been so long since I've seen a woman like you. Come, let me touch you."

"What are you all staring at? Don't just stand there!"

"Did you hear what the boss said? As long as no one dies, we can do whatever we want with her. This woman is much more enjoyable than the one we played with before."

With a click, the locked door was pushed open from the outside.

Julia, who was originally hopeless, suddenly opened her eyes, filled with a light she had never seen before.

But in the instant, she saw the person standing at the door, the light in her eyes dissipated and was replaced by a sense of self-ridicule.

"He doesn't love you, Julia. He hates you. Why would he come back?"

"So, are you disappointed to see me?" Tiffany Turner stepped into the filthy room, wearing a pair of blood-red high heels.

The man who was about to harm Julia stopped and greeted the person standing at the door, "Mrs. Turner, are you here to join us?"

Tiffany seemed familiar with them as she laughed coquettishly, "Ugh, I haven't settled the matter from the other day when you made it impossible for me to get out of bed. And you still want to play?"

Suddenly, Julia looked sharply at Tiffany, who was smiling, and said, "You--"

"Shocked, aren't you? Oh, would you like me to tell you another secret? The ones who violated Katie before were them, and they belong to me."
